Masks in Cars: What's Behind America's COVID-19 Insanity
- By Neil Patel
If you wanted to teach a class on how to cause confusion and distrust, you would follow the U.S. government's coronavirus playbook. A lot has been written about the historically low levels of trust Americans have in their leaders and institutions. There's been less analysis on what happens when a government has no faith in its own citizens. We are seeing the results today. From the start of the pandemic, health authorities have chosen gamesmanship over honesty. This has resulted in muddled and inconsistent messaging from national leaders. The end result is a broken country of citizens at one another's throats. Mask fights, deboarding flights and, of course, the crazy people driving around alone in their cars with masks on all stem, at least in part, from a government that refused to treat Americans like adults who could handle the truth.
GOP: Big Tech Is Playing a Losing Game of Monopoly
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
They may have their own policing, their own spies, currency, and even their own court, but Big Tech isn't a government. And it's certainly not our government. After months of watching Silicon Valley decide what is and isn't speech, what is and isn't science, and who is and isn't welcome in the public square, Republicans have had it. The days of Facebook and Twitter operating like the world's ruling empire are numbered, Senator Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) warns. And the latest high jinks over Donald Trump's account will be one of a million reasons why.
Calling on 'Moderate' Democrats
- By David Limbaugh
Everyone knows President Joe Biden ran as a moderate and is governing as a leftist radical, yet we see little evidence of Democrats, including the liberal media, breaking ranks from him. Why?
I've previously written about the lack of Democrats' dissent from their party's undeniable extremism and have always been met with the response that they don't dissent because there are no longer any moderate Democrats. Yet when I talk to my Democratic friends, they vehemently deny that they personally are extremists. Are they, or might they just as well be?
Where Did All Those 'Capitalist Pigs' Go?
- By Pat Buchanan
"There are few ways in which a man can be more innocently employed than in getting money," is an insight the famed biographer James Boswell attributed to Samuel Johnson.
Clients of the late Bernie Madoff, however, might take issue.
Over four decades, Madoff, acclaimed as the greatest fraudster of them all, ran a Ponzi scheme that swindled 40,000 people, including his closest friends, out of $65 billion.
But if "getting money" is among the most innocent of callings, America has more than its fair share of the goodly people who excel at it.
Day of Tears Resolution Sails Through Louisiana Senate
- By Christian Newswire
BATON ROUGE, La. -- Senate Concurrent Resolution 38 (SCR 38), designating January 22, 2022 as the Day of Tears in Louisiana, passed the senate yesterday unanimously.
Sponsored by Senator and President Pro Tempore, Beth Mizell, (R-Franklinton), SCR 38 encourages the citizen of Louisiana to lower their flags in remembrance of those who have been lost to abortion. Louisiana joins Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi as the latest state to consider adopting the Day of Tears.
NGU Celebrates 2021 Graduates With In-Person Commencement Ceremony
- By LaVerne Howell - NGU
Seated six feet apart across a football field, yet bound together like no other class in decades, North Greenville University's (NGU) 2021 graduates celebrated their degrees on a beautiful foothills evening Friday, April 30.
With their families looking on from the stands in Younts Stadium – socially distanced but thankfully inside the campus landmark – the graduates were challenged to "listen to God."
"Do you do that?" asked commencement speaker Bill Reeves. "Do you spend any time in the day listening to him?"
Big government grows with new state agencies
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
No matter who’s in charge, state government in South Carolina just keeps getting bigger.
Three stand-alone state agencies created since Republican Henry McMaster became governor in 2017 – the departments of Veterans’ Affairs and Children’s Advocacy, and the newest agency, the Office of Resilience – would have combined total budgets of $173 million for next fiscal year, under the state budget version passed last week by the Senate.

Biden's Ruinous Refugee Dump
- By Michelle Malkin
Ready or not, here they come. Thanks to Joe Biden, America the Weary will soon open its doors to another 62,500 low-skilled foreigners from the Third World. The sovereign citizens in neighborhoods across our nation where these newcomers will be dumped will have no say in these decisions. Zip. Zilch. Nada. Open borders judges made sure that the wants and needs of ordinary Americans would be subordinated to those of the refugee resettlement racket. There is no recourse under U.S. law to reestablish local control of the process.
Biden's Government Pre-K Not Okay with Parents
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If the government can't educate our kids, why would we trust it to raise them? Joe Biden doesn't have a good answer for that, but it hasn't stopped him from introducing another 13-digit spending plan to let the state babysit your toddler. He calls it the American Families Plan, a "free" daycare system that would give radical Leftists an even earlier grip on our children. But for a party who supposedly cares so much about "the science," they certainly don't give a fig here. After years of government-run Pre-K, the data all says it's a bust. It's certainly no comparison to an institution that costs taxpayers nothing: the intact family.
Biden's Era of Big Government
- By Star Parker
When I began my work 25 years ago, my vision for fixing our poor, broken communities was driven by my belief in America and what made it successful.
It's what I call the 3 C's: the principles of Christianity, the virtues of capitalism and the rule of law outlined in our Constitution.
After the civil rights movement, big government was deemed necessary to turn poor communities around.

Wade Hampton and the “Red Shirts” - Part 7
- By Bob Dill - Publisher of The Times Examiner
In 1876, South Carolina entered its eleventh year of military subjection after the WBTS and its ninth year Radical Republican Reconstruction rule. During this time, South Carolina had undergone such great humiliation, degradation, and corrupt misrule that it had come to be referred to in the national and international media as “The Prostrate State,” a name which, in reality, was an understatement.
Financially, the State was ruined. Property values had plummeted, some claiming that the property destruction during the Reconstruction period was more than that of the Civil War itself. Taxes soared dramatically and much land was confiscated. State debt increased to the point of being virtually worthless.
Chemical Abortion Compromises Women
- By Eagle Forum
In mid-April, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) relaxed the safety protocols for the chemical abortion regimen. Doctors are now allowed to prescribe Mifepristone or RU 486 through telemedicine and patients can receive them via mail-order pharmacies. Prior to this decision, patients could only receive the drug directly from certified providers after being seen in person and it could not be picked up from mail-order pharmacies. These restrictions are called risk evaluated and mitigation strategies (REMS) and ensure the safety of a drug’s user.
Biden vs. Biden on 'Is America a Racist Country?'
- By Pat Buchanan
"Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country."
So declared Sen. Tim Scott, a Black Republican, in his televised rebuttal to Joe Biden's address to Congress.
Asked the next day what he thought of Scott's statement, Biden said he agrees. "No, I don't think the American people are racist."

The Legacies of Reconstruction
- By Mike Scruggs
How “White Supremacy” Was Born and Repainted
The South was as devastated during the Civil war of 1861 to 1865 as much as any nation in the annals of warfare. By the end of the war, more than 250,000 Confederate soldiers, one out of every four white men, had been killed or died of wounds or disease. In addition, at least 50,000 Southern civilians died. Over 40 percent of private property including homes, businesses, livestock, and crops had been destroyed. In South Carolina, where Sherman’s men had burned the capitol city of Columbia, over 50 percent of private property was destroyed. Most of this property damage was deliberately inflicted on the civilian population to deny the Confederate Army the logistical means of resistance, but also to demoralize their families and supporters at home. It was ordered in cold calculation by Northern political and military leadership and often executed with self-righteous religious zeal or criminal abandon. Neither Christian teachings nor modern Geneva Conventions condone such total war. Reconstruction was an extension of that total war by political means.
The (Not So) Great “Reset” – The Deep Staters’ Plan To Take Over The World, and You! (Part 1)
- By W.H. Lamb
There is a bitter enemy of freedom and constitutional government walking among men today, admittedly one of many. But he wields an inordinate amount of power and influence among those who believe as he does--- those ultra-wealthy and powerful influencers of governments and C.E.O.’s of large multi-national corporations who meet annually in Davos, Switzerland, but who care little for their citizens or for free and constitutional government. His name is Klaus Schwab. He has lived for most of his life in Switzerland, but he was born in Ravensburg, Germany in 1938, in Hitler’s “Third Reich”, which has been chillingly described by David Icke as, “A police state regime built on fear and violence, on brainwashing and control, on propaganda and lies, on industrialism and eugenics, on dehumanization and ‘disinfection’, on a chilling and grandiose vision of a ‘New Order’ that would last a thousand years.”

Gas-Tax-Hike Piggy Bank Keeps Growing Fatter
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Through March, a special fund created with the state gas-tax-hike law had a cash balance of nearly $824 million and racked up more than $26 million in investment earnings on surpluses since July 2017, records show.
The $823.8 million surplus in the “Infrastructure Maintenance Trust Fund” as of March 31 represented nearly 46% of the $1.79 billion in total collected revenues under the 2017 law, The Nerve found in a review of recently released S.C. Department of Transportation and state comptroller general records.
2A for Today Coming Soon!
- By Zoe Warren - The New American
Your right to keep and bear arms is under assault from those who seek to subjugate and tyrannize the American people.
But as James Madison, the “Father of the Constitution,” warned, a tyrannical government can only succeed “with a standing army, an enslaved press, and a disarmed population.”
Starting this Wednesday, join filmmaker Zoe Warren as he explores the Second Amendment and explains with expert guests and insightful analysis the continuing central importance of the 2A Today.

Dems Race Awareness of Hypocrisy with Scott Smear
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Thanks to Senator Tim Scott (R-S.C.), we finally found all of those racists Joe Biden keeps talking about. They're on the Left, right under the president's nose. After Scott's inspirational response to the president's speech Wednesday night, we didn't have long to wait before the real party of intolerance came crawling out of its hole and attacked. In one of the most vile displays of hypocrisy, Democrats have apparently decided that it's okay to be prejudiced -- as long as the black man is a conservative.
South Carolina State Convention will be a Donnybrook
- By Michael LaPierre
The South Carolina State Convention is going to be aDonnybrook! While I do NOT expect, and do NOT condone intimidation, violence, and subversively disturbing the peaceful and orderly flow of discussion anddebate, I can assure you that PATRIOT voices WILL be heard in Columbia at ourState Convention. PATRIOTS are on the move and our voices will NOT be silenced.
If Drew McKissick thinks for one minute that hecan "weaponize" Robert's Rules of Order to control the RepublicanParty State Convention narrative, drown out the voices of conservative PATRIOTS,and tamp down the overwhelming DEVOTION that we have to the principles found inthe Republican Party Platform, he is grossly mistaken and the State Chair of fantasyland.

Misinformation on Hamburgers is a Joke Compared With the Media's Misinformation on Climate
- By Neil Patel
The left had a lot of fun this week mocking a false claim in some conservative circles that President Joe Biden was planning on limiting hamburger consumption. There are a few lessons in all of this. The first is obvious and has been driven home in the corporate media: Conservatives need to be more careful on the facts. By taking liberties on the potential costs of Biden's climate goals, conservatives walked into a hailstorm of criticism that could easily have been avoided.
The second and more important lesson is that the hamburger misinformation pales in comparison to the corporate media's misinformation on Biden's climate targets. Biden has proposed cutting U.S. emissions by 50% below 2005 levels by 2030. This is double the hugely ambitious target set by former President Barack Obama in 2015.
