Tigerville, SC -- Although a master’s degree is considered the minimum qualification for positions in the field of educational leadership; students can further boost their standing in the job market by earning an online Doctor in Educational Leadership. This specialized academic field is dedicated to the administration and management of learning institutions at all grade levels, from universities, colleges, and other postsecondary education providers to pre-K and elementary schools.

Affordable Schools, a leading higher education resource, helps adults of all ages and backgrounds obtain a high-quality education while avoiding huge college costs and in many cases huge college debt, which can hover over their lives for years. Affordable Schools was established to help students make smart, higher education choices.

In Affordable Schools’ recent ranking of the 40 Most Affordable Doctorate in Educational Leadership Online 2019, NGU is listed at number 12.

“Few vocations are more important than that of an educator, and Christians, in particular, should be committed to educational excellence because we are followers of the Master-Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ,” said NGU Provost and Dean of the University Faculty Dr. Nathan A. Finn. “As a Christ-centered university, North Greenville remains committed to offering high quality, yet affordable Doctor of Education, so that we can best prepare the next generation of educational leaders to serve with excellence in every context to which they are called.”

Graduates of these programs enhance their ability to effectively lead districts, schools, teachers, and programs as well as implement development and reform programs.

Professions in educational leadership include curriculum developers, admissions officers, college deans, school superintendents, vice principals, and principals.

“We are very proud of our Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership.  Not only the affordability of the program but also the quality of the program.  We have experts in the field of educational leadership instructing our courses and providing both our K-12 and higher education students with the knowledge and confidence to be educational leaders themselves,” said Dean of the Graduate School of Education Dr. Shelley Dugle.  “Our 60-hour program is rich in research, and we successfully guide our cohorts through the program from coursework to dissertation.”
