Across the country, state legislatures are considering resolutions to apply for a disastrous Article V constitutional convention (Con-Con), incorrectly referred to by some as a “convention of states.” The push to change the U.S. Constitution — which could result in an entirely new “modern” (i.e., socialist) constitution — is one of the most serious threats to the Constitution that we face.
To help better equip you and others with the truth — including the many pitfalls of an Article V convention — we have launched a new series of short Con-Con videos, titled our “Article V Academy.”
The short videos feature a single speaker and animations illustrating what the speaker is explaining. Their purpose is to bring viewers up to speed about a Con-Con — going from little or no knowledge about the topic all the way to having an advanced level of understanding. The videos are broken up into three levels:
- Level 1: Understanding Article V
- Level 2: Ready for Action
- Level 3: Mastery
The Article V Academy videos are bite-sized, ranging from two to six minutes each, with each one focusing on one specific area or question. You can start with any video, and at your own pace build your knowledge of the topic.
If there is an upcoming hearing in your state legislature for either a Con-Con resolution or a rescission resolution, we recommend that you watch the videos to familiarize himself with their content before testifying. Also, if you visit your state legislators or their staffers to inform them about the dangers of a Con-Con, review the videos to help prepare.
Please use this tool (and our many other resources) to educate yourself and inform others — including your state legislators—about the dangers of an Article V constitutional convention, and about nullification as the genuine solution to federal overreach.
