KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- When Ed Van Buskirk, founder of God's Recipe for School and Family heard that Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed law HB71, requiring all public school classrooms to display the Ten Commandments, he was overjoyed and commends those legislators for their courage to pass this bill. Van Buskirk's God's Recipe for School and Family program provides images of the Commandments for Catholic school children and their families.

Van Buskirk sold his successful tech company in 2018 and founded If U Love Me, a nonprofit ministry whose mission is "To restore the Ten Commandments in our world of confusion," based upon the words of Jesus in scripture from John 14:15:

"If You Love Me, You Will Keep My Commandments."

Van Buskirk explains, "Passage of this law signals great hope. Other states have also proposed legislation like Louisiana's. I have developed a 'Prayer Team' and invite everyone to join in praying for these efforts to teach children the moral truths in the Commandments which guide them in knowing right from wrong and applying them in their daily decisions."

"Restoring the Ten Commandments to classrooms is a wonderful step in the right direction to restoring these words of God's wisdom that were taken away in 1980. We have seen the moral fabric and integrity of society slowly crumble and turn upside down. What is truly good and holy is now chastised, and what is truly bad and evil is now touted as truth. With our moral compass broken, we have declined as a culture and as a people into the chaos, confusion, and division we see every day in the news, in our families, and in our schools and on our streets." says Van Buskirk.

Van Buskirk speaks nationally and has received full support from Bishop James V. Johnston, Bishop of the Kansas City – St. Joseph Diocese, to restore the Ten Commandments in every Catholic classroom in his diocese. Beginning this September, If U Love Me's outreach program God's Recipe for School and Family will be used in every Catholic grade school throughout the diocese.

Van Buskirk also developed God's Recipe for a Wonderful Life video study and book on The Ten Commandments for adults which has been life changing for many.
