Cruz Close Behind and Leading in Iowa, Establishment Candidates Getting no Traction

The latest polls indicate that Donald Trump is “building a commanding national lead” over his opponents. The only opponent showing a threatening surge is Texas Senator Ted Cruz.

Many concerned citizens are flocking to Donald Trump because they are convinced that the establishment Republicans are not committed to closing the borders and protecting citizens from an onslaught of foreigners that include an unknown number of committed terrorist.

Cruz and Trump are the favored candidates of most Evangelical Christians who are fed up with political correctness and failure of Democrats and establishment Republicans to protect Christians and their values from invading Muslims and anti-Christian organizations.

Cruz, whose father is a Baptist pastor, is apparently benefiting from Christian defection from Dr. Ben Carson, a Seventh Day  Adventist.

Rafael Cruz is an articulate speaker and is campaigning hard for his son and producing positive results in Christian communities across the country.

Trump has rocketed to 41 percent in national polls on the strength of his insistence to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country until the government can verify who is friend or foe among those arriving at our shores and airports.

Trump’s national poll numbers have jumped 13 points since October. Cruz has picked up 4 points but lags some 27 points behind Trump in national polling.

Trump is verbally jabbing at Cruz, with little or no response from the expert debater from Texas.

Senator Marco Rubio is trailing Cruz by only 4 points in the national polling, and all the others are in the single digits. Dr. Carson has even fallen to the single digits.

The establishment Republicans are reportedly plotting to stop Trump in a brokered convention if necessary. Like all bad news, that has drawn more sympathetic support to The New York Billionaire.

Rush Limbaugh, Pat Buchanan and several other conservative giants have sided with Trump on some of his controversial statements regarding Muslim refugees and would-be terrorists.

The Tuesday night debate on CNN may force some of the low scoring “moderates” out of the race. Carly Fiorina who surged to 6 percent in October is back down to 2 percent, neck and neck with Mike Huckabee and Rand Paul. Rick Santorum continues to hang below 1 percent since September.

Our Senior Senator, who has visited Iraq 28 times, is ahead of Santorum with a solid 1 percent. Apparently he has 3 percent in South Carolina among known Republicans.
