War Powers or More Powers for Pelosi?
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Just because you're elected to Congress doesn't mean you understand the Constitution. Back in 2011, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute was shocked to find out that less than half of America's elected officials could name the three branches of government. Nine years later, not much has changed. Today's Democrats still don't understand the difference between the executive branch and legislative branch -- or they'd stop trying to tell Donald Trump how to do his job. The president doesn't need a permission slip from Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to run the military. But based on the debate over this week's War Powers Resolution, that's news to her.

20 Olympic Transgender Policies: Track and Field Makes it Tougher, USA Swimming Stays the Same
- By Christian Newswire
MADISON -- In September 2019, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided to keep in place their transgender policies for the upcoming 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. However, they gave each sport the ability to adjust the rules.
Starting in 2003, transgenders were required to have surgery, plus lower their testosterone levels to 10 nanomoles over twelve months. In 2015, the IOC said transgenders could compete without surgery, but still had to keep their levels at 10.

ERA Cannot Use a Back Door to the U.S. Constitution
- By Eagle Forum
January 9th, 2020, while emotional women garbed in red Handmaid's Tale dress stood in solidarity outside the Virginia Capitol, ERA opponents cheered. Earlier that morning, the Department of Justice released an opinion asserting that the ERA is dead, validating the 1982 Supreme Court decision in NOW v. Idaho and dismissing Virginia’s attempts to pass it.
As the opinion says:
“Congress may not revive a proposed amendment after a deadline for its ratification has expired. Should Congress wish to propose the amendment anew, it may do so through the same procedures required to propose an amendment in the first instance, consistent with Article V of the Constitution.”
“With this opinion, we are hopeful ERA supporters in both Virginia and the rest of the country will stop claiming that there is only one state left to ratify the Amendment,” said Eagle Forum Chairman Anne Schlafly Cori. “The ratification process must start anew. Americans deserve a robust debate on the merits of the ERA.”

U.S. Attorney General William Barr Confirmed to Speak at NRB 2020 Convention in Nashville
- By NRB
WASHINGTON -- The Honorable William P. Barr, Attorney General of the United States, is confirmed to speak Wednesday, February 26, during the NRB 2020 Christian Media Convention taking place February 25-28 in Nashville, Tennessee.
"At a time when the U.S. Constitution is being stretched by many to provide political rather than legal guidance, and while questions of corruption in government are at an all-time high, NRB deems the appearance of America's Attorney General at our national convention to be both significant and opportune," said Janet Parshall, NRB's Chairman of the Board.

Dems and Iran: The Best of Enemies
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
First, Democrats accuse Donald Trump of not acting presidential enough. Then, when he does the most presidential thing of all -- protecting Americans from a violent terrorist -- they complain. When the White House's air strike took out one of the biggest threats to the West, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) called him a "monster." And she wasn't referring to dead Iranian leader General Qasem Soleimani. She was talking about Trump.
