Federal Court Bars Southern Poverty Law Center from Reckless Endangerment of Pro-Family Activist
- By Press Release
DENVER, Jan. 11, 2013 -- Christian Newswire -- A federal district judge in Colorado ordered the Southern Poverty Law Center ("SPLC") to remove a document revealing the home address of the President of Public Advocate of the United States, a leading nonprofit advocacy organization supporting traditional marriage, to prevent potential "politically motivated harassment or even violence."
Public Advocate was sued in Colorado by SPLC attorneys representing two homosexuals in a dispute arising out of Public Advocate's opposition to state legislators supporting homosexual marriage in that state. In that litigation, the SPLC attorneys recklessly posted the home address of Public Advocate's President, Eugene Delgaudio, in a pleading that was available to the public as part of the record of the case.

Hobby Lobby Gets Crafty with Insurance Timeline
- By Tony Perkins
By Tony Perkins, Family Research Council
Hobby Lobby may have a reason to celebrate Religious Freedom Day after all. The mega-craft retailer announced last week that the owners have found a way for the company to bypass the $14.3 million in fines it would have already racked up. The penalty for not providing abortion drugs to employees under the President's health care mandate was supposed to go into effect January 1, but, thanks to a loophole, The Becket Fund believes that Hobby Lobby may be able to postpone the pain. "Hobby Lobby discovered a way to shift the plan year for its employee health insurance, thus postponing the effective date of the mandate for several months," the Fund explained.

Biden’s Biased Meeting on Obama Gun Control Scheme
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
Some Things you do by Executive Order, You Need Money for it to be implemented – and that’s up to Congress
The spin is on. After 150 years of mendacity, Hollywood has admitted that Lincoln was a dictator and Bill Clinton on Sunday night told a television audience on the Golden Globe show that future presidents should be more like Lincoln in his role as dictator. Clinton and the Hollywood left has set the stage for the coming gun, ammo, magazine grab many said could never happen in this country.
NRA President David Keene told CNN recently that the meeting with Vice President Biden was little more than an “attack on the Second Amendment.”

If Voters Only Knew Some History
- By John F. McManus - New American
Last April, a candidate for reelection to his House seat was asked during a town hall meeting to estimate how many in the U.S. Congress were “card-carrying Marxists or International Socialists.” Without hesitation, he responded, “There are about 78 to 81 members of the Democratic Party that are members of the Communist Party.” He pointed to their membership of “the Congressional Progressive Caucus.” His frankness drew immediate attention, not only from media representatives locally, but some nationally.
The congressman who pointed the finger at this sizable number of colleagues is Allen West, the representative of Florida’s 22nd District, which is situated in a portion of southeastern Florida that includes Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The response likely cost him his reelection. In the very tight 2012 race, he lost by a few thousand votes and didn’t concede defeat until almost two weeks after Election Day.
