BJU Celebrates Donate Life Month

Bob Jones University will partner with Donate Life South Carolina and Sharing Hope SC to promote the SC Donate Life movement by celebrating National Donate Life Month.
BJU joins both organizations and over a dozen public and private universities throughout the Palmetto State supporting the Donate Life movement—a coalition of recipients and donor families, state and local leaders, health care professionals, clergy members, education and business leaders and everyday South Carolinians who saved more than 39,000 lives nationwide and over 500 lives in South Carolina during 2020.

BJU Board of Trustees Holds Annual Meeting

During its annual meeting held March 31 through April 1, the Bob Jones University Board of Trustees unanimously approved a nearly $76 million budget for FY 2022, a strategic plan for 2021-2024 and authorized the planning phase for the next capital campaign. Additionally, they voted to add a BA in Political Science beginning with the Fall 2021 semester.

BJA Team Wins S.C. Bar Association Mock Trial Tournament

The Bob Jones Academy (BJA) Mock Trial team won first place in the South Carolina Bar Association Mock Trial State Tournament held virtually March 11-13. This is the seventh time a BJA team has won the tournament. A representative from the S.C. Bar will present the award to the team in-person at a later date.

Fireworks to Cap Week-Long Celebration at BJU

Bob Jones University will host a 15-minute fireworks display Friday, March 19, in Alumni Stadium at approximately 8:30 p.m. as part of its biennial week-long Bruins Daze celebration.
Local residents are asked to take precautions for pets and individuals with sensitivity issues during the event.

Guest Artist Stephen Eager to Bring Story of John Newton to NGU stage

Stephen Eager, actor, and singer, will present Out of the Depths: The Story and Hymns of John Newton on Friday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in Turner Chapel on the North Greenville University (NGU) Tigerville Campus.
The program is based on John Newton's best-selling autobiography, "Out of the Depths" written in 1764. For Newton, one of Christendom's greatest hymn writers and writer of "Amazing Grace," God's matchless grace was intensely personal. Saved from a life of slave trading, John Newton was fully aware of the "depths from which he was pulled."

Bob Jones University to Host Allen Jacobs Memorial Ceremony

Bob Jones University will host a memorial ceremony in commemoration of the fifth anniversary of former Greenville Police Department Officer Allen Jacobs’ death in the line of duty on March 18, 2016. The ceremony will be held outside in front of Rodeheaver Auditorium in the center of front campus Thursday, March 18, at 10 a.m. Prior to the event, the Greenville Police Department (GPD) Honor Guard will perform a ceremonial guard from 9 – 10 a.m.
