'We Have to Stop Pretending Public Schools Aren't Bad'

There've been plenty of issues over the last year and a half where Democrats have had to "bring Joe Biden along." Whether it was the Hyde amendment, socialized medicine, or religious tests, the Democrat had to move several clicks to the Left to meet the party's radical new standard. That was never the case with the LGBT agenda. In fact, you could make the argument that when it comes to things like transgenderism, it's Biden doing the pulling. And his first day behind the Resolute Desk proved it.

Local students graduate in NGU's 2020 December class

North Greenville University graduated the following local students on Friday, December fourth.
Baccalaureate degree students whose cumulative grade point average is at least 3.5 graduates cum laude; those with at least a 3.75 graduate magna cum laude; and those with at least a 3.9-grade point average graduate summa cum laude.

BJU to Webcast Opening Services

Jeremy Frazor, a Bob Jones University graduate, will preach the opening services of BJU’s spring 2021 semester. Services will be held Jan. 12-13 at 7 p.m. in Founder’s Memorial Amphitorium.
“I had the privilege of serving and traveling with Jeremy and his family for several years in itinerant ministry,” said BJU President Steve Pettit. “I have seen firsthand how God uses him to proclaim the Gospel with grace and clarity. These services will help encourage the University family as we embark upon a new semester.”

BJU Programming Team Places 2nd Nationally in IEEEXtreme 14.0

Two Bob Jones University intercollegiate computer programming teams participated in the international, virtual programming competition IEEEXtreme 14.0 in late fall. The competition took place during a 24-hour period and started locally at 8 p.m. This was BJU’s sixth time participating in the competition. Competition results were finalized in January 2021.

The North Greenville University Graduate School of Health Science at the T. Walter Brashier Graduate School held its annual white coat and hooding ceremony for the Master of Medical Science in PA Studies students on the Tigerville campus Friday morning, Dec. 11.
The white coat ceremony celebrates PA students’ successful completion of their didactic year. The hooding ceremony recognizes the Cohort of 2020’s accomplishments, which graduated from the program during commencement exercises that afternoon.

To follow COVID-19 protocols, North Greenville University (NGU) held two commencement services on Friday, Dec. 11. The first commencement for the graduate school and online undergraduates was held at 1 p.m., which included a keynote address from Dr. Tawana Scott, NGU's associate vice president of adult and graduate academic services. Professor Lisa Van Riper, NGU's consultant for public policy, was the featured speaker for the traditional undergraduate ceremony at 6 p.m., which included a surprise presentation from the 117th Governor of South Carolina, the Honorable Henry McMaster and First Lady Peggy McMaster.

NOBTS, NGU Sign Articulation Agreement

A move that can help men and women called to ministry get placed into ministry positions sooner, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (NOBTS) and North Greenville University (NGU), have partnered to count certain college credit hours toward a master of divinity degree, thereby saving students time and money.
