Is There Really Such a Thing as “Divine Providence?”

That is a question for the ages, isn’t it? Most of us, I’m sure, have heard that term used our entire lives as Christians and as Constitutional Patriots. But what is “Divine Providence”, really, and has it changed the course of mankind’s history over the ages? The Christian blog, “GOT QUESTIONS”, answers the question, “What is Divine Providence?” as follows:
“Divine Providence is the governance of God by which He, with wisdom and love, cares for and directs all things in the universe. The Doctrine of Divine Providence asserts that God is in complete control of ALL things. He is sovereign over the universe as a whole (Psalm 103-19), the physical world (Matthew 5:45), the affairs of nations (Psalm 66:7), human destiny (Galatians 1:15), human successes and failures (Luke 1:52), and the protection of His people (Psalm 4:8). This doctrine stands in direct opposition to the idea that the universe is governed by chance or fate.”

President Harry S. Truman said of the Central Intelligence Agency that he would have never have agreed to the formulation of the CIA back in 1947, if he had known it would become the American Gestapo.
Just think of this, he compared the CIA to the American Gestapo (Hitler’s SS).
The Gestapo was a secret state police of Nazi Germany. They were given authority to investigate cases of their definition of treason, espionage, sabotage and criminal attacks on the Nazi Party and Germany, which history teaches us were self-inflicted.

With Halloween just a few hours away, it's probably no coincidence that this demonic atmosphere is neatly tucked in between midterm elections and Thanksgiving. Be on the alert, nothing is as harmless as it seems. The treat is a trick.
In just a few hours, some will cling to tradition with the Halloween custom of hanging macabre decorations, partying with sinister attractions, and going from house to house begging for treats while ignoring the danger of candy laced with poison or razor blades hidden inside. Some may even plan to soften the deception by seeking safe harbor in private settings, including in church socials; God forbid. No matter how you dress it up, Halloween is demonic and occultist.

October and Other Election Surprises
The thirty days before an election are the season of political dirty tricks. It is frequently referred to as the “October surprise” and is generally launched by desperate candidates or campaign consultants with moral compasses aligned to power rather than ethical conduct and the public good. It is often a Halloween basket filled with misleading or outright false statements and statistics; character defamation; economic, social, and historical ignorance; and the usual litanies and virtue-signaling of victimhood politics Delivering this blizzard of falsehoods and distortions during the last weeks or even the last few days before an election will usually prevent opponents from responding before most of the damage is done.
Burning Down the Church

An arsonist set a fire that gutted the church where we attended when I was young. I was to learn in subsequent years that a) church fires are not that infrequent, and b) they can have an upside, in that they tend to burn into the souls of their members (those who are listening) some realities about the differences between the church (the institution) and the ecclesia (the actual bride of Christ).
In an article in the February/March 2018 issue of Presbyterians Today, “Idolizing our worship spaces,” pastor Richard Hong writes about a phenomena that occurred after a fire in his church and their subsequent move into other meeting places: “In all of the time that we have not been in our traditional sanctuary, we have been growing.”
