Not Just Nashville: Attacks Against Churches Nearly Tripled in 2023, Report Finds
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
Last week’s mass murder of six people at a church-run Christian school constitutes 2023’s deadliest act of violence against churches, which have increased nearly three times this year compared to last year, a new report from Family Research Council finds. The number of anti-church attacks in 2022 had already tripled over four years, a previous report found.
In all, assailants attacked churches 69 times in the first three months of 2023, compared with 24 such acts during the same period last year, a 288% increase. The rising tempo of anti-Christian assaults — which includes arsons, bomb threats, vandalism, and sacrilege — has affected places of worship in 29 states. The motives behind such desecration run the gamut from pro-abortion activism or controversies over transgender ideology to apparently senseless acts of destruction.

Biden Serves Dark, Cold Easter Dinner
- By Eagle Forum
Department of Energy Proposes Bans on Lightbulbs & Gas Stoves
Easter celebrations are approaching, but affording eggs to dye and an Easter ham is harder this year with inflation causing prices to rise. The Left’s misguided economic policies are largely to blame for the poor post-pandemic recovery. Instead of looking for ways to ease the burdens on American families, the Biden Administration is adding insult to injury. The Department of Energy (DOE) is now proposing an Easter dinner by candlelight by issuing a lightbulb ban.
Democrats’ war on energy has become a battle against household appliances. In the past, the left has implemented regulations on detergent, toilets, showers, and dishwashers under the guise of “energy efficiency.” Ironically, these measures made clothes and dishes less clean – causing families to use more water to wash them again. Low-flow toilets required more flushes and can wreak havoc on the sewer system.

- By Kristen A. Ullman, Eagle Forum President
Families, Not the WHO, Have the Right to Make Decisions
On behalf of Eagle Forum, I am pleased to sign the American Sovereignty Declaration and join the Sovereignty Coalition. Eagle Forum was started in 1972 by Phyllis Schlafly, who in addition to being concerned about the traditional pro-family issues, understood the importance of American Sovereignty and independence from international ‘busybodies,’ as she called them.
