States Embrace Climate Action Plans Under the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development

On September 20, 2023, the Biden administration met at the Sustainable Development Summit in New York with the goal of recommitting to the [United Nations] 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals—SDGs. A White House fact sheet stated, “The United States is committed to the full implementation of 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, at home and abroad… At their core, the SDGs seek to:
- Expand economic opportunity – This means public-private partnerships, which is crony capitalism. In this scheme there are winners and losers, where profits are privatized and losses are socialized on the backs of middle-class Americans.
- Advance social justice – This means placating and advancing people based on their skin color. At its core it is discriminatory.
- Promote good governance – This skirts our elected form of government and injects unelected special interest initiatives into our lives, where no one gets to vote.
- Ensure no one is left behind – This means catering to protected classes and minorities in order to create “capacity building” for initiatives and redistributive wealth schemes. Under Diversity and Inclusion (DEI), these classes are awarded “equity” and “inclusion” based on their skin color.
In a Ping-Pong game of executive orders, President Obama put the federal agencies into the SDGs; President Trump got SDGs out; President Biden put them back in during the first week of his administration. Congress has done nothing to reel them in.

Representative Chip Roy (R-Texas) spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives last Thursday and stated Republican leadership rushed the Antisemitism Awareness Act of 2023 through the House.
Roy said the House was unable to debate or amend the bill as it was pushed through, stating:
Yet again today on the floor on the house of representatives we had another show vote to make people feel good about themselves by passing a bill that says antisemitism in the title. That’s what happened and it was put on the floor by republican leadership, and it was put on the floor by republican leadership despite knowing that it was pulled from going through committee. Nearly Half of US Senate Calls WHO Treaty “Dead on Arrival”, Urges Biden to Delay Acceptance
This week, 49 members of the U.S. Senate signed a letter to President Biden opposing the administration’s secretive plan to sign onto two instruments drafted by the World Health Assembly that will, in effect, make the World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus – the dictator of U.S. public health. Eagle Forum applauds the Senators for taking a strong stand for our national and personal sovereignty.
This powerful joint congressional letter, spearheaded by Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and signed by every Republican Senator, declared that “the most recently available version of the pandemic response treaty is dead on arrival.” The signatories declared that “Instead of addressing the WHO’s well-documented shortcomings,” the proposed Pandemic Treaty would have the effect of “supercharging the WHO” at the expense of, among other things, freedom of speech and property rights.
