Passengers Erupt in Cheers Upon Hearing Mask Mandate No More
- By Eagle Forum
On Monday, April 18 US District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle struck down the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Mask Mandate on public transportation. This Mandate was created through direction from President Biden’s Executive Order on Promoting COVID-19 Safety in Domestic and International Travel, which he issued the day after taking the Presidential Oath. As Judge Mizelle stated in her ruling:
“Approximately two weeks later, on February 3, 2021, the CDC published the Mask Mandate without allowing public participation through the APA’s notice and comment procedures…As the basis for dispensing with the ordinary APA requirements, the CDC found that “it would be impracticable and contrary to the public’s health” to delay the Mandate to seek public comment…The Mandate also disavowed being a rule under the APA.”

GOP Schools Dems in Education Politics
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
These days, Democrats can't even turn around without bumping into another poll that reminds them of the shellacking that awaits in November. The prophecies of doom are everywhere now, including the pages of their most reliable water-carriers: the mainstream press. At headquarters, where strategists wince with every Joe Biden interview, the hand-wringing must be at an all-time high now that they've officially lost their edge on a longtime party winner: education.
For decades, Democrats played the schools to their advantage, owning the space in practically every political way. But the tables have turned, thanks to COVID, and the days of playing parents for suckers are over. It took a global pandemic, but the blinders have been blown off. Americans are onto the Left's ultimate goal of turning their children into the next generation of woke, LGBT, neo-Marxists -- and they don't like it. For suburban moms like Marianne Burke, a Democrat, the awakening came when Terry McAuliffe uttered the words that every liberal now regrets: "I don't think parents should be telling schools what they should teach."
Federal Judge Ends Challenge to Texas Heartbeat Law
- By Bob Adelmann - The New American
In a terse statement, a federal appeals court has dismissed all lawsuits pending against Texas state officials and administrators who have challenged the state’s “heartbeat” law:
Having received the ruling of the Texas Supreme Court that named official defendants may not enforce the provisions of the Texas Heartbeat Act … this court REMANDS the case with instructions to dismiss all challenges to the private enforcement provisions of the statute and to consider whether plaintiffs have standing to challenge.
Put another way, the ruling dismisses all attempts by pro-abortion advocates and providers to overturn Texas’ “Heartbeat Act.” And it requires the lower court to consider whether those bringing those challenges even have legal standing to do so.

Orrin Hatch's Beltway Barnacle Legacy
- By Michelle Malkin
Seven-term former U.S. Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah died last weekend, and accolades came pouring in from both sides of the political spectrum. This is not any kind of testament to his character or ability to "bring both sides together." It's really just proof that the toxic Washington Swamp is run by a uniparty of entrenched elites and their corrupt coterie of oligarch donors.
I've said it for more than two decades, and I'll say it again because no one else will: The unvarnished truth is that Orrin Hatch was an open-borders globalist who served Big Tech oligarchs, U.S. Chamber of Commerce traitors and USS government careerists while stabbing American workers and citizens in the back for his entire public life. He was a prototypical wheeler-dealer driven by self-preservation, not by principle. His political wisdom was of the wet-finger-in-the-wind variety, claiming a Reagan conservative mantle during election cycles and then throwing constitutional conservatives under the bus once comfortably back in his well-worn Senate committee seats.
Disney's Cinderella Story Comes to an End at Reedy Creek
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
For once, Disney has no comment. Bob Chapek's company, whose loudmouth Leftists pushed the CEO into a losing war with Florida leaders, had nothing to say Friday when the governor pulled the plug on Disney's sweetheart deal with the state. To most people's surprise, the company that couldn't keep its mouth shut on the state's popular parental rights in education bill couldn't find the words to respond to the GOP's elimination of their autonomous district (after the Magic Kingdom tried to sprinkle fairy dust on public policy). "The entertainment giant has not commented publicly on the proposal to dissolve its government," reporters point out--a dramatic shift from the outspokenness that got them into this mess. Has Disney learned its lesson? Don't count on it.

Yes, Your Mobile Carrier Is Probably Spying on You, But You Can Do Something About It
- By C. Mitchell Shaw - The New American
In the world that exists after Ed Snowden’s 2013 revelations, it is well-known that government agencies routinely spy on American citizens. But many seem to not know that tech companies make large profits doing the same and selling private data to advertisers.
That ignorance is on full display in an article published in the Washington Post’s “Help Desk” section on April 22. Tatum Hunter answers a query from a reader about whether or not mobile carriers harvest users’ data for profit. She admits, “I had no idea wireless carriers were in the business of peeking in on my activities and using that information to market to me.”
Her admission comes in the wake of her discovery that such surveillance is a common business practice in the industry. She writes:
The French Center Holds -- In a World Coming Apart
- By Pat Buchanan
"Things fall apart; the center cannot hold."
So wrote William Butler Yeats in the wake of the Great War of 1914-1918 that had ravaged the Christian civilization he had known.
In France on Sunday, the center held, as President Emmanuel Macron rolled up a crushing 59% to 41% victory in the runoff election against ethno-nationalist Marine Le Pen.
Four years ago, Le Pen got 34% in the runoff. And the highest vote that her father, Jean-Marie Le Pen, founder of the National Front, ever received was 18%. While Marine Le Pen lost Sunday, her positions continue to attract converts.
So terrified of Le Pen was the European establishment that before Sunday's election, the leaders of Spain, Portugal and Germany intervened in France's politics by imploring the French people to vote against her.
Another High-tech Titan Falters
- By Stephen Moore
You've probably heard of the high-flying Big Tech FAANG stocks -- Facebook, Amazon, Apple, Netflix and Google. Among the five of them, their market cap reached $6 trillion last year, which is more than the GDP of all but a small handful of entire countries. Moreover, their net worth is larger than the entire annual output of India, with more than 1 billion people.
These companies got so big and profitable so fast that politicians on the left, right and center started accusing them of monopolistic behavior. "Break them up!" shouted Democratic Sens. Bernie Sanders and Amy Klobuchar. Some Republicans, such as Josh Hawley, endorsed the same strategy.

Building the Wall Is Not Enough
- By Mike Scruggs
Advisory to Republican Primary Voters
According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the estimated number of illegal immigrants in the United States increased by 1.13 million to 11.35 million from January 2021 to January 2022 and is increasing by more than 100,000 per month. That may double to 200,000 per month by the end of May, when President Biden removes the Article 42 power that allowed expulsion of illegal immigrants posing a Covid or other health risks to the United States. Many estimates of the illegal immigrant population are much higher. In fact, the situation is now so chaotic that accurate estimates are nearly impossible.
CIS also found the number of foreign-born in the United States increased by 1.7 million to a new high of 46.7 million, over 14 percent of the total population. In 1970, the foreign-born percentage was less than 5 percent. Not only is illegal immigration out of control, but cheap-labor legal immigration is excessive and exploded by chain migration under loose rules that result in an average of 3.45 sponsored relatives per new legal immigrant.

Good Warning America: Florida Sends Disney (and Friends) a Message
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Disney CEO Bob Chapek wasn't the only one waking up to an uncomfortable new reality Friday morning. Across corporate America, Chapek's counterparts probably all had the same uneasy feeling about what had transpired in Tallahassee the day before. Conservatives have exacted a pound of flesh in the woke wars -- and not just any pound of flesh, but a gash in the credibility of one of the biggest entertainment brands in the world. The message was simple: if woke companies want to carry the water for the Left and declare war on parents, then at least in Florida, lawmakers are going to side with parents.
The Old Paths Are Still The Right Paths!
- By W.H. Lamb
“Sometimes the right path is not always the easiest”
(Princess Matoaka, aka. “Pocahontus” (c. 1596-1617), aka. Rebecca (Mrs. John) Rolfe – daughter of the Great Chief Mamanatowick, aka. Wahunsenacah, aka Powhatan (c.1547-c.1618), of what is now Virginia.)
Back in the days when I could move my legs and arms without joint pain, and before the force of gravity became much “stronger”, I used to do a lot of hiking in the North and South Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains with my kids and their friends, or with our adult friends. Finding the correct path in the high country, surrounded by rocks and trees, and often cloud cover, was very important. We all loved “the high country” and we spent many wonderful weekends or parts of vacation weeks exploring well-known, and some not so well known, great views and landmarks in “our” mountains. In every case, having trail maps and using good observation and common sense made our hikes both enjoyable and safe. Following the right path made ALL the difference.
California to Legalize Infanticide -- AB 2223 Tells Law Enforcement 'Don't Ask Don't Tell'
- By Capitol Resource Institute
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Despite the strong objections voiced by the thousands of people that gathered at the California State Capitol on Tuesday, the Assembly Health Committee passed AB 2223 out of committee by a vote of 11 to 3. The bill will go next to the Assembly Appropriations Committee before making its way to the Assembly floor.
The proposed law has sparked public opposition due to its unprecedented callousness toward the life of babies before and immediately after birth.
In its opening paragraphs, AB 2223 describes the purpose of the legislation "that there shall be no civil and criminal penalties for people's actual, potential, or alleged pregnancy outcomes." To achieve this controversial goal, the bill removes legal penalties for a mother and any accomplice for the death of an unborn child but also for "perinatal death," terminology that allows for death after a live birth. Inclusion of the obscure terminology "perinatal death" has caused the bill's opponents to assert that the bill legalizes infanticide.
Mainstream Media is Propaganda. Hunter Biden Laptop Story is Another Example
- By The John Birch Society
Seventeen months after the story broke, the Washington Post and New York Times finally acknowledged the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden abandoned-laptop story, which implicated the president’s son in shady deals with foreign agents. In this episode, Paul interviews Gary Benoit, editor-in-chief of The New American magazine. They discuss several critical stories illustrating the mainstream media’s propaganda approach, what’s really controlling major media, and what Americans need to do as a result.

Cadet Being Fired for Religion: 3-star General Secretary Caught Fibbing on Radio Show About Religious Freedom Denied to Air Force Academy Cadet
- By Christian Newswire
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- An unnamed U.S. Air Force Academy "Cadet X" could be dismissed for his religious views as early as Monday 4/25, punished for integrity and conscience which prevents him from taking any vaccine which he associates with abortion.
The Cadet has joined Liberty Counsel's class-action lawsuit against Joe Biden, here.
USAFA Superintendent 3-star General Richard Clark is now apparently breaking his public promise to "absolutely" defend religious freedom for cadets who refuse the vaccine upon sincerely held religious grounds.
A Whole New World for Disney after Florida Retaliates
- By Family Research Council
If Disney didn't know conservatives meant business, they do now. Four weeks into this national drama between Florida and CEO Bob Chapek, state leaders aren't just speaking out -- they're hitting back. After years of sitting down and taking it when corporate bullies stick their noses in social issues, Governor Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) is finally making an example out of a company that took their war against parents too far. And to most Americans, who are sick of having their values mocked and shamed by Big Business, it's about time.
CDC Asking DOJ to Appeal Court’s Decision Ending Travel Mask Mandate
- By Veronika Kyrylenko - The New American
The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed an appeal seeking to overturn a federal court ruling that struck down its federal mask mandate for travelers earlier this week following the CDC evaluation that masks still play an important role in stopping the spread of Covid.
On Wednesday, the nation’s top healthcare agency posted a statement in which it requested the DOJ to appeal the court’s decision. As reported by The New American, Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle of the Middle District of Florida ruled on Monday that the CDC overstepped its authority granted to it by the U.S. Congress and did not justify its mask mandate for public transportation systems. The judge noted that the mandate was “arbitrary and capricious.”
America Rewritten: What the World Would Lose if the US Constitution Was Erased | Exclusive Documentary
- By EpochTV
The Constitution of the United States established the American form of government and radically changed the ideas of where the rights of citizens originate. It’s founded on the idea that the role of government is to protect God-given rights.
Yet now, the doctrine that constitutes America is under assault. Freedom of speech is being worn down through corporate–government censorship, freedom of belief is being suppressed with lockdowns, the right to bear arms is being called into doubt, and the numerous rights of Americans are in jeopardy.
As a new narrative is being taught to America’s youth on the founding stories of this country, and as history itself is being rewritten, what does the future hold for America, once seen as the beacon of freedom and the shining city on the hill?
Will France Move Further Toward Authoritarianism This Week?
- By Veronique de Rugy
Next Sunday, French voters will decide on their next president. While most of the country and the rest of the world are united, for valid reasons, against populist Marine Le Pen, the truth of the matter is that voters have a choice between two shades of illiberalism: the aggressively populist one of Le Front National and its authoritarianism-light version represented by incumbent President Emmanuel Macron.
Le Pen is everything observers around the world are saying she is. She is anti-immigrant and anti-Muslim, taking positions among the worst that populism has to offer. She's also obsessed with "wokisme," a catchall word for the "leftist" ideologies she dislikes. Unsurprisingly, she admires Hungary's authoritarian leader, Viktor Orban, and would happily follow in his footsteps by imposing his economic policies, as well as his practice of using whatever powers necessary to crush the opposition.
You Can Bring Back a Conservative Majority in Congress
- By Eagle Forum
In just seven months, we will elect a new Congress. There seems to be a bipartisan consensus that Republicans are almost certain to take over the House of Representatives. But, right now, during primary season, YOU have the ability to ensure that we elect solid conservatives.
We need to elect candidates who will fight for American families and not compromise their beliefs just to be liked in Washington, D.C. This is why our beloved founder, Phyllis Schlafly, was one of the first conservatives to establish a Political Action Committee.
