Essential Knowledge for Western Survival
![Mosque in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan Mosque in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan](/images/Mosque_0543.jpg)
Is Islam a religion of peace? That is not Islamic doctrine, but many Western leaders have brought their countries to the edge of social and cultural chaos and possible extinction in that belief. As the Prophet Hosea said:
“My people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge, because you have rejected knowledge…”--Hosea 4:6a.
The main problem, and the cause of many problems, is that Western leaders have rejected the Biblical wisdom that once strengthened Western culture and understanding. A second problem, which this article, addresses, is that they have a shallow and mistaken knowledge of Islam. They have put multiculturalist political correctness and virtue signaling above both Biblical Wisdom and common sense reasoning. Hence we have little discernment of danger and are open to deception. We in fact cling to our deceptions and are unlikely to look beyond the surface of language and events.

Who Are the Racists?
- By Walter Williams
Former presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said that racism in America is "foundational" and that people of color were under "mortal threat" from the "white supremacist in the White House." Pete Buttigieg chimed in to explain that "systemic racism" will "be with us" no matter who is in the White House. Senator Cory Booker called for "attacking systemic racism" in the "racially biased" criminal justice system.
Asking The Lord’s Blessing – More Thanksgiving Thoughts
- By W.H. Lamb
“We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing; He chastens and hastens His will to make known.
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing; Sing praises to His name, He forgets not his own.
“Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining; ordaining, maintaining His kingdom divine.
So from the beginning the fight we were winning; thou, Lord, wast at our side, all glory be Thine.
“We all do extol Thee, Thou leader triumphant; and pray that Thou still our defender will be.
Let Thy congregation escape tribulation; Thy name be ever praised, O Lord, make us free!”

Who in the Christian world doesn’t recognize that great old Thanksgiving hymn? The words and music are from The Netherlands of the 16th century, and it was arranged in its present form by Edward Kremser (1838-1914). Since the hymn originated in the same country (Holland, or The Netherlands) that our Separatist Pilgrim Forefathers and Mothers lived in as exiles from England from 1608 to 1620 (and for many of those same Separatists much longer than that), I’m sure that our “Plimoth” Pilgrims may have sung that song, or at least a version of it, very often during their 12 year sojourn in Holland, to which they had fled to escape the extreme persecution inflicted upon them by the despised and feared King James and by the harsh hierarchy of The Church of England. (On the other hand, the Separatist Pilgrims sang mostly from the Psalms, so whether or not they ever sang this old hymn I can’t say with certainty.)
Attempted Coup? Netanyahu Indicted on Charges of Bribery, Fraud, and Breach of Trust
- By James Murphy - The New American
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was formally indicted on charges of accepting bribes, fraud, and breach of trust in connection with three separate scandals. The indictments on Thursday mark the first time in the 71-year history of the nation’s current incarnation that a sitting prime minister has been charged with a crime.
Cancel Culture Hypocrites on Left and Right
- By Walter Williams
Cancel culture is metastasizing. No one is safe anymore, including yours truly.
On Tuesday afternoon, I was informed that Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts, had pulled the plug on my book discussion of "Open Borders Inc." with the Center for Immigration Studies' Director of Policy Studies Jessica Vaughan. The event had been scheduled for this Friday and co-hosts from Bostonians Against Sanctuary Cities were expecting a crowd of about 300 people.

Chick-fil-A: Catering to the Liberal Mob
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Most of us who were there on that sunny August day will never forget. For everyone else, there's a sign: "Above this plaque is a bullet hole. It marks the heroic action taken by Family Research Council employee Leo Johnson on August 15, 2012." That was the morning Floyd Corkins walked into our lobby and changed FRC forever. He'd bought a gun and learned how to use it. He'd loaded three magazines. In his backpack was a stash of chicken sandwiches that he planned to smear in the faces of staffers he hoped to kill. "They endorse Chick-fil-A," he said. It would be a "statement against the people who work there."
Is Today's Culture War About Legacy or Lunacy?
- By Alveda King
The current impeachment lies, Democrat Debates, Chick-fil-A attacks, and DOJ/Comcast misalignment are all examples of indicative symptoms of a very serious problem: Culture War.
In light of the very recent Democrat Party presidential debates, America should pause, stop, and examine our moral state.
If the Democratic Party has anything to do with it, our current president will be impeached under false pretense, and our next president will endorse and embrace homosexual marriage, abortion on demand, higher taxes to support an agenda of death and lunacy. This should not be.

What's Behind Our World on Fire?
- By Pat Buchanan
When the wildfires of California broke out across the Golden State, many were the causes given.
Negligence by campers. Falling power lines. Arson. A dried-out land. Climate change. Failure to manage forests, prune trees and clear debris, leaving fuel for blazes ignited. Abnormally high winds spreading the flames. Too many fires for first responders to handle.

Scientists: Dishonest or Afraid?
- By Walter Williams
The absolute worst case of professional incompetence and dishonesty is in the area of climate science. Tony Heller has exposed some of the egregious dishonesty of mainstream environmentalists in a video he's titled "My Gift To Climate Alarmists." Environmentalists and their political allies attribute the recent increase in deadly forest fires to global warming. However, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Forest Service, forest fires reached their peak in the 1930s and have declined by 80% since then. Environmentalists hide the earlier data and make their case for the effects of global warming by showing the public and policymakers data from 1980 that shows an increase in forest fires.

Five Critical Mistakes
- By Dave Workman
You’ve heard this before: Your rights are one election away from being lost forever, and the election in question could actually be just over 10 months away, in the first week of November 2020.
For the past half-year, we’ve been listening to candidates running to unseat Donald Trump, each trying to out-gun-control one another with some of the most outrageous, anti-rights rhetoric in the history of the gun prohibition movement. To hear this crowd, one might presume they all slept through high school civics where the Bill of Rights was discussed.

Jury Renders Verdict Against Pro-Life Activists in Planned Parenthood Baby Parts Case
- By Christian Newswire
SAN FRANCISCO -- Moments ago, a jury of ten issued adverse verdicts in a Federal civil suit brought by Planned Parenthood against five pro-life activists who exposed its participation in the illegal trafficking of aborted baby remains.
Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue, was found liable for $870,000 in damages for his service as a founding board member of the Center for Medical Progress. Civil counts against him included conspiracy, fraud, and violations of the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO).
When Did Ukraine Become a 'Critical Ally'?
- By Pat Buchanan
On hearing the State Department's George Kent and William Taylor describe President Donald Trump's withholding of military aid to Ukraine, The New York Times summarized and solemnly endorsed their testimony:
"What clearly concerned both witnesses wasn't simply the abuse of power by the President, but the harm it inflicted on Ukraine, a critical ally, under constant assault by Russian forces."
The Democrats' Election Interference Projection
- By David Limbaugh
You know what doesn't pass the smell test in the Democrats' sham impeachment crusade? Their main beef is that President Donald Trump abused his power to interfere with a presidential election (2020), yet that's all they have been doing for the last three years.
Interference with a presidential election (2016) was also their allegation with the Russia-collusion hoax. Oh, my, how they revere the integrity of the election process.
What Impeachment Is Really About
- By Tucker Carlson & Neil Patel
This week, nearly two months after beginning impeachment proceedings, the Democrats finally held their first public hearings. If nothing else, the hearings made clear that the Democrats have no master plan for impeachment. They clearly haven't thought it through. They're making it up as they go along. In the end, impeachment will almost certainly hurt them. The whole premise is too absurd for it not to.
Removing the ERA Deadline is an Ultimate Congressional Power Grab
- By Eagle Forum
While lawmakers fought in Longworth, one of the three House office buildings, about impeachment another contentious piece of legislation was being debated in Rayburn.
This was Representative Jackie Speier’s (D-CA) resolution, H.J. Res. 38, to remove the original deadline of the 1972 ERA proposal. As you might recall, the Equal Rights Amendment was sent to the states for ratification on March 22, 1972. 38 states needed to approve the amendment within seven years. In that time frame, only 35 states passed the ERA and Nebraska, Tennessee, Idaho, Kentucky, and South Dakota ultimately rescinded their ratifications.
A "Fractious Country at this Moment” and Filled with “Gutter Talk”
- By Jim S. Brooks - Roebuck, S.C.
Prudence Scott seems somewhat blue and perplexed at today’s political atmosphere as expressed recently in an upstate newspaper (Opinion 11-10-2019) and feels we are a “fractious country at this moment” and filled with “gutter talk.” Actually, passionate contrariety of political opinion is nothing new in our country! But blessedly, in a Great America, peaceful public demonstrations and free individual expression of diverse public viewpoints are encouraged: but, not violence, destruction, civil disobedience; and, individual suppression of another’s contrary individual public political opinion by intimidation or violence!

Tragedy, War, Poverty, and Corruption

Ukraine has a population of 42.4 million excluding the territories of Crimea and Sevastopol with another 2.3 million people. The Russian Federation occupied and annexed Crimea and Sevastopol in 2014. Ukraine has a 1,426 mile border to its north and east with the Russian Federation. The original meaning of “Ukraine” was “borderlands.” It also borders Belarus to its north; and Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the west. Romania, Moldova, and the Black Sea border it to the south. It is the largest country in Europe excluding the Russian Federation, being slightly larger than France. It is also the second poorest country in Europe, despite its vast farmlands that were once the breadbasket of Eastern Europe. Since February 2014, the Ukraine and Russia have been in a state of on-and- off military actions, often referred to as the Russia-Ukraine war.
What’s In The Box? A Thanksgiving Meditation
- By W.H. Lamb
“…Pilgrim history (is) a story which has no end. It will end only if people suffer a failure of nerve in the quest for basic human rights. It can honestly be said that ALL who cherish freedom are Pilgrim descendants.” - Rev. Gary Marks, “Pilgrims Then and Now” Plymouth, Mass. (1990)
(Note: I don’t pretend to be an authority on Pilgrim History, but I am quite knowledgeable about it, because my wife. who is descended from at least three Mayflower passengers, is a life-long member of the National/State Society of Mayflower Descendants, and we’ve attended many Mayflower Society meetings together over the years. In the early 1990’s I presented the program for the Fall meeting of the S.C. Society of Mayflower Descendants. This and the following two articles will center on these amazing people who, in obeying what they believed were the teachings of their Savior, Jesus the Messiah, changed history!)
