We Should Erase the Racism in Critical Race Theory

No nation is perfect, and no nation’s history is free of sin and struggles, but America’s commitment to the ideals outlined in the Declaration of Independence set us apart in the world:
We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
These are ideals are under attack, and we must fight back.

Texas Democrats Flee State to Avoid Election Security Vote

After last year’s election debacle, states legislatures are considering bills that would make our elections safer. However, Democrats want the opposite. They are even running from their elected duties and asking their big brothers in Washington, D.C. to fight their battles. We are watching this unfold in Texas as we speak.
Texas Senate Republicans considered Senate Bill 1 this week which had a number of provisions to safeguard their elections. It would ban drive-thru voting except for those with disabilities as well as overnight voting. In larger areas, video surveillance would be required along with a live stream during vote counting. Additionally, voter identification would be required as well as information from a person submitting ballots on behalf of someone else.

The Democratic Senate’s Not-So-Secret Weapon

You may recall that in April, the House of Representatives passed legislation on D.C. statehood. Unfortunately for us, this has long been a priority of the country’s Democrats. Consequently, almost every Congress there is a push to make Washington, D.C. a state, and Republicans sound like a broken record replaying the reasons why D.C. can’t simply become a state.
For starters, it’s blatantly unconstitutional. Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 of the Constitution enables Congress to govern the District of Colombia. Our Founding Fathers envisioned the location of the Federal government to be an independent entity outside of another state. In doing so, the Founders sought to prevent D.C. from pressures and influence by one state government rather than another.

Rev. Patrick Mahoney will be holding the first public demonstration and prayer vigil at the Capitol since the January 6th insurrection.
Mahoney will be gathering on the corner of East Capitol and 1st Street NE at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 13 and then walk over to the Capitol grounds.
Rev. Mahoney will carry the event virtually through Facebook Live.

Supreme Court Issues Landmark Rulings for 2021 Spring Session

As people submitted their votes for Donald Trump in November 2016, many were still skeptical of his policies but were hopeful for at least one good Supreme Court Justice during his term. Not only did he exceed everyone’s expectations as President, but he and the Senate were also able to confirm a whopping three Justices to the highest court in the land. We saw the fruits of that labor over the last couple of months. While SCOTUS dealt a couple of losses to the conservative cause, they handed over quite a few wins as well. Here are some of those notable cases:

Squad Dems: A Fourth to Be Reckoned With

Squad member Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) used the anniversary of America's Independence to parrot the 1619 Project's about continued racial oppression and fundamental injustice. She tweeted, "When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they're referring to is for white people. This land is stolen land and Black people still aren't free." This is a textbook example of the 1619 Project's false narrative of American history. America elected a black president in 2008, vice president in 2020, and many members of Congress, including Cori Bush herself. "Black Lives Matter," an organization with nothing but its name to recommend it, raised $90 million in one year. Not to mention America's many popular and successful black athletes, musicians, entertainers, scholars, and entrepreneurs.

Celebrating America's Birthday

When was America born? Was it when Jamestown was settled in 1607? When the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth in 1620? When the 13 colonies won the War of Independence from Great Britain in 1781? Today, revisionist historians and new progressive models claim that America was born when African slaves arrived in Virginia in 1619. While the American slave trade was tragic, immoral, and a grave human rights violation, it is inaccurate to say that the United States of America was founded on slavery.
Independence Day is the appropriate day to celebrate America's birthday because it was on this day that the final text of the Declaration of Independence, the document outlining our nation's ideals and aspirations, was approved by the Continental Congress (the actual signing would come a month later). Alarmingly, the historic belief about America's founding on July 4, 1776, is currently under assault by liberal elites, including those behind the 1619 Project.
