House Spending Bill Funds Abortion, Wokeness, and Pot
- By Eagle Forum
This week, the House is advancing a deeply partisan and radically liberal spending bill, H.R. 4502. Republicans correctly coined this bill as “Pelosi’s Bloatedbus!” H.R. 4502 appropriates funding for federal agencies under Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Agriculture, Rural Development, Energy and Water Development, Financial Services and General Government, Interior, Environment, Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, Transportation, and Housing.
Here are a few of the bill’s more radical top liners:

Removes various pro-life riders like the Hyde Amendment, the Weldon Amendment, and the Mexico City Policy (just to name a few).

Pelosi: On the Riot Side of History
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
When House Democrats started clamoring for their own January 6 commission, it was never about the facts. But the last person anyone expected to admit that is Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). But this week, the California leader showed her cards when she booted two of the five Republicans off the roster because she was terrified they'd ask some hard questions. And hard questions, we all know, is not what this probe is about. Political theater is.
When House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) submitted his five names for the supposedly bipartisan investigation, Pelosi knew that Reps. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) wouldn't let her party get away with the pack of lies they've been trying to sell about that day for seven months -- namely that Republicans and their supporters were responsible for the tragedy at the Capitol. So, she made up some lame excuse that Democrats needed to protect the "integrity of the investigation" and rejected the two conservatives. Seething, McCarthy fired back that if that's the way Pelosi wants to play it, then she can go ahead with their "bipartisan" committee without them. "Unless Speaker Pelosi reverses course and seats all five Republican nominees, Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts."

House Committee Removes Long-Standing Pro-Life Riders from Gov Spending Bill
- By Eagle Forum
Back in January of this year, we warned you that the defense of life was on the line! Sadly, our premonitions are coming true, and Democrats in Congress are using their majority to remove any pro-life legislative mechanisms that hinder their anti-life agenda! This includes the Hyde Amendment, a provision in appropriations that prevents tax-payer monies from being used to fund abortion.
At a Congressional hearing in December 2020, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) said of the long-standing and bipartisan Hyde amendment:

There is No Functioning First Amendment at the U.S. Capitol, as Speaker Pelosi Continues to Prohibit Free Speech on the Capitol Grounds
- By Christian Defense Coalition
Although the fence has come down around the Capitol building, and citizens are allowed back on the grounds, the entire area located inside the fence's perimeter is still restricted and individuals and groups applying for permits to hold peaceful First Amendment activities are being denied.
Rev. Patrick Mahoney was told by the U.S. Capitol Police this week that no permit applications to hold peaceful First Amendment activities were being processed by the U.S. Capitol Police Board even though the grounds are now open to the general public.
Rev. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, has applied for permits to hold several free speech events at the Capitol over the next several weeks and was told his permits were not being processed.

U.S. Federal Women Prisoners Sue to Remove Transgender Women Out of the Prison
- By Christian Newswire
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Two women in a United States federal prison are suing to have biological male prisoners removed from the women's federal prisons. The women prisoners, Rhonda Fleming and Katoria Greene, are alleging various constitutional rights are being violated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Both women, who identify as Christian, black conservatives, are alleging that their bodily privacy rights are being violated because they must shower and use other intimate facilities with biological males, many of whom are openly bisexual. The women state their right to free exercise of religion is being violated because they cannot practice a tenet or principle of their faith, modesty, with male prisoners living with them, 24 hours a day, within 2 or 3 feet, when women are changing their clothing or showering. Many of the women fear for their safety.

Take Charge of Your Fertility with Science
- By Eagle Forum
The definition of “family planning” has changed over the years. In fact, Planned Parenthood does not plan for parenthood at all. Feminists and the abortion industry are focused on wiping out families by encouraging contraceptives that shut down women’s reproductive systems. These contraceptives are given to women without any other choices or an explanation of their side effects. Many times, women end up having adverse effects that result in difficulties getting pregnant or exacerbating health conditions already present.

The Cuban Dismissal Crisis
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It took five days, but the White House has apparently had enough time to consider the question and agrees that yes, communism is a failed system. Even that admission was like pulling teeth from this president, who's been surprisingly muted in his response to the Cuban protests. But even his slow reaction was better than the outrageous responses from others on America's Left, who've decided the real villain in this crisis isn't the brutal regime -- but America!
Black Lives Matter, which is finally ending this ruse that they're anything but Marxist radicals, released a blistering statement blaming the United States for every cruel and inhumane thing that's happened to the Cubans over the last 62 years of oppressive rule. "Since 1962," the group claims, "the United States has forced pain and suffering on the people of Cuba by cutting off food, medicine, and supplies costing the tiny island nation an estimated $130 billion." In their long missive, they accused America of causing instability, called the embargo "absurdly cruel" and said that our foreign policy in the region is essentially "worse than embarrassing." Naturally, they never thought to point the finger at the real culprit of Cuba's misery: communism.
