Out-of-Control Federal Budget Funds Left-Wing Agenda
- By Calvin Freiburger, LifesiteNews.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congress is poised to pass another pair of omnibus spending bills this week, which will not contain an anticipated expansion of foreign abortion funding but will allow the abortion industry's current federal funding to continue.
The U.S. House of Representatives voted 208 to 138 Tuesday to approve a $1.4 trillion pair of spending bills to fund the federal government and avoid a government shutdown over the holidays. The Senate is expected to pass it as late as Friday, and President Donald Trump is expected to sign it into law. (The President has now signed the bill.)

Government Workers Get Another Bonus at Taxpayers Expense
- By Eagle Forum
Amidst the impeachment sham, the House and Senate recently passed the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2020, S. 1790 (NDAA). This past July, House Republicans overwhelmingly voted against the Democratic-backed legislation.
The July NDAA authorized about $733 billion for fiscal year 2020 which is $17 billion below the amount the President requested in his budget proposal and $17 billion more than enacted in fiscal year 2018. Additionally, this version of the NDAA Reauthorization included many anti-family provisions. Among these are access to emergency contraception, or abortifacients, for sexual assault survivors and SOGI (sexual orientation and gender identity) language, which attempted to use the military as a tool to redefine gender.

- By Eagle Forum
The late Dr. Michael Bauman, professor at Hillsdale College, once cautioned against Dangerous Samaritans. They are those people, especially elected officials, who try to help a situation but make it worse. As Dr. Bauman said, “We forget that good intentions are not enough, and that massive government programs carry unintended consequences. We forget that aiming is not hitting, and that meaning well is not necessarily doing well.”
