Northeast Syria: A Beacon of Religious Freedom that Deserves Our Protection
- By Travis Weber & Arielle Del Turco - Family Research Council
Turkey just announced its plan to attack one of the few oases of religious freedom in the Middle East -- and it is doing so after President Trump began withdrawing U.S. troops from a part of northeast Syria.
Yet backing out of Northeast Syria is a betrayal of our friends and allies, a disavowal of our values, and will work against our long-term interests in the region. It could also lead to the death and displacement of thousands of religious minorities who have found protection under the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria.

HB481 Ruling No Surprise
- By Christian Newswire
NORCROSS, Ga. -- Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) President Ricardo Davis said Wednesday he was not surprised that a federal court has temporarily blocked HB481 from going into effect January 1, 2020.
"We've seen this story play out in Georgia and across the country when there are any attempts to restrict or totally ban abortions," Davis said. "Those who don't respect the sanctity of human life are very effective in using the courts to ensure the killing continues."

SAFE Banking Act is Far From “Safe”
- By Eagle Forum
Last week, we asked for your help in asking your Representative to vote against the SAFE Banking Act, H.R. 1595. Unfortunately, the House passed the legislation in a 321 - 103 vote on September 25, 2019. H.R. 1595 allows marijuana businesses access to the federal banking system and prevents federal banking regulators from punishing financial institutions that finance marijuana businesses that are legal under state or local laws. The bill undermines federal law and allows for legal money laundering in which banks receive illegally obtained funds. The Senate is now poised to take the legislation up for debate and a possible vote.
