Rescuing Our Children
- By Alex Newman - The New American
There is a silent struggle raging right now upon which the future of America and her liberties depends — literally. At its core, the struggle revolves around who will be responsible for children and their upbringing. Ultimately, there are only two options: parents or government. Right now, government appears to be winning. It is gaining ground with each passing generation, and with each passing day, through the public education system. What's Happening at the Statehouse This Week
- By SC Policy Council
This week, things in the State House are beginning to speed up as both chambers will likely vote on a number of significant bills. The joint committee evaluating offers to buy Santee Cooper is also scheduled to meet.
In the House, lawmakers have fast-tracked a bill that would create a powerful mini-government within the Tri-County Technical College for the purpose of driving economic development. This new entity – called an “enterprise authority” – would have the power to issue revenue bonds on behalf of the college, collect fees for undefined purposes, and possibly even exercise eminent domain. If passed by the House, it will go to the governor’s desk.

A Perfect Opportunity To Contrast With the Secular Left
- By Erick Erickson - The Resurgent
Ralph Northam should probably resign for lying in his press conference. I’m not sure what was more embarrassing, his excuse or almost beginning the moonwalk till his wife stopped him.
As for the picture itself, Ralph Northam and the rest of us are thirty-five years removed from it and we owe it to the man to judge him on the conduct of his life, not on a photograph. This is the perfect opportunity to contrast our values from the secular left.

Congress Should Censure VA Governor Northam
- By Phyllis Schlafly Eagles
St. Louis, MO: "Congress should use their effort to reject truly vile rhetoric like that of Virginia Governor Ralph Northam this week rather than censure the misquoted Rep. Steve King," said Ed Martin, president of Phyllis Schlafly Eagles. "The truly stomach-turning description of infanticide that Gov. Northam gave this week in defense of a late-term abortion bill in the Virginia House deserves the strong disapproval of every member of government and the action of every American.
