Non-Profit Organization Was Targeted and Harassed for Advocating Passage of “Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion And Protection Act”
(BIRMINGHAM) – Late yesterday, Eagle Forum of Alabama filed a motion in U.S. federal district court seeking to sanction the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for their unprecedented, invasive politicized subpoena of August 9, 2022. The DOJ was demanding all information related to the non-profit’s legislative activities promoting the Alabama Vulnerable Child Compassion And Protection Act (VCAP) since 2017.

To those elected representatives I ask, DO YOU ENJOY BEING THE DOORMATS OF HIRED BUREAUCRATS WITH AN AGENDA? The belief of elected representatives that they are powerless to oppose the dictates of appointed boards – that is the root of the problem. Such an attitude is leading to the destruction of representative government. And it must be confronted immediately. Appointed boards represent nobody!

H.R. 9157, titled the Gold Standard Restoration Act, is sponsored by U.S. Representative Alex Mooney (R-W.Va.). If enacted, it would be a significant step to restoring sanity to U.S. monetary policy.
In its list of legislative findings, the bill correctly notes that “The Federal Reserve note has lost more than 30 percent of its purchasing power since 2000, and 97 percent of its purchasing power since the passage of the Federal Reserve Act in 1913,” and it notes that under official Fed policy, “the dollar loses half of its purchasing power every … 35 years.”
