Virginia’s Newest Leadership Signals Hope for Nation
- By Eagle Forum
Virginians have ushered in a brand-new administration to lead the state for the next 4 years. Over the weekend, Republican Glenn Youngkin was sworn in as the state’s 74th Governor alongside Lieutenant Governor Winsome Sears and Attorney General Jason Miyares. This may have come to the surprise of Democrats who currently hold office, but not to the American people fighting to get their freedoms back.
Americans had a wake-up call after being subjected to Democrat lockdowns and mandates. Parents saw first-hand what political propaganda their children were learning in public schools and how unfounded mask mandates suppressed learning. Then, when they could return to work, they were forced to get the COVID vaccine or lose their job. On top of that, people are tired of being called racists simply because of their skin color or terrorists because they want to have a voice in their child’s education. Republican lawmakers and candidates began listening and championed their freedoms.

Plastic Is Not A Threat
- By Tom DeWeese - American Policy Center
I am fed up to my burning ears with the carte blanche castigation of plastic. Plastic is one of the greatest inventions ever, not only for modern society, but also for the environment. If plastic seems to now pose an environmental threat, it’s not plastic’s fault – but the fault of the environmental movement itself.
The use of plastic reduces the need for other natural resources. Plastic bags, cups, and plates save the need for more paper. It saves the tress the greens are so concerned about. Plastic tables and chairs and lamps also save the demand for wood. Plastic bumpers on cars elimiinate the need for chrome, a natural mineral the greens worried about a couple of decades ago – plastic provided the saving solution. And the use of plastic in cars makes them lighter and therefore more fuel efficient. Plastic makes heart transplants possible. Plastic is used in a wide variety of medical devises, without which people would either die or be denied happy, useful lives. There is no natural wood, paper, or glass substitute.

“Bipartisan” Group of Lawmakers to Introduce Their Own “Election Reform” Bill
- By Eagle Forum
Yet another troubling election bill has surfaced, but this time it is expected to be introduced by a Republican. Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) recently convened a bipartisan group of lawmakers to discuss election matters. The participants were Sens. Tim Kaine (D-VA), Ron Johnson (R-WI), Steve Daines (R-MT), Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Thom Tillis (R-NC), Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), Mitt Romney (R-UT), and Roger Wicker (R-MS). Even though the group was bipartisan there is nothing conservative about the bill. We are disappointed in any Senators that would purport to put conservative fingerprints on a bad bill.

SCOTUS Ends Mandates for U.S. Businesses
- By Press Release
In a huge blow to President Joe Biden, the U.S. Supreme Court responded to his COVID overreach the way most Americans had hoped: striking down the largest of his vaccine mandates. By a vote of 6-3, the justices agreed that the president had zero authority to demand that employers of 100 or more employees be vaccinated or bear the weight of routine testing.

A Win for Business, A Loss for Healthcare Workers
- By Eagle Forum
Breaking — Today, the Supreme Court struck a blow to the Biden Administration’s two-pronged vaccine mandate affecting American businesses and healthcare workers. In a 6-3 decision, the Court ruled that President Biden lacked the authority to mandate vaccines on businesses with 100 or more employees. Chief Justice Roberts and Justices Alito, Thomas, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch, and Barrett concurred. Justice Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan dissented.

Chemical Abortions Gain in 2021: Operation Rescue Releases Part Two of Special Report on Abortion Facility Survey Results
- By Operation Rescue
WICHITA, Kan. -- New trends in the business of abortion have been documented through Operation Rescue's exclusive 2021 survey of abortion facilities in the U.S.
"We found that the trend toward the use of chemical abortions expanded in 2021. There was a rise in the number of first trimester abortion facilities to accommodate the increased demand," said Troy Newman, President of Operation Rescue. "Overall, two factors had the most impact on abortion trends in 2021. Those were the passage of the Texas Heartbeat Bill, which prohibits abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy, and the new pro-abortion policies of the current administration, which include the relaxing of Federal regulations on how abortion pills are dispensed."
