Washington Center Explores Indoor Garden
- By Washington Center
Using the Attainment Science Curriculum as a springboard to grasp state standards-based learning objectives, Mrs. Papet’s Washington Center class collaborated to create the beginning of an indoor garden.
First, the class listened to the read-aloud, entitled, “Grandma’s Garden”, from the Attainment Science book. The students viewed pictures of the sun, soil, roots, stems, and flowers in a second book, entitled, “Plant Plumbing”. After reading, each student planted sunflower seeds in name labeled colored pots. The students helped to push the sunflower seeds into the soil and then added water.

The President and Congress Act on Visa Issues
- By Eagle Forum
While President Trump is moving forward with building a wall at the U.S./Mexico border, he is cracking down on other illegal immigration loopholes. This week, the President signed a memo that gives Homeland Security and the Department of State 120 days to propose a solution to illegal immigrants who overstay their visas. During 2018, a whopping 415,000 individuals stayed in the United States after their visa expired. To put that into perspective, that amount is similar to the population of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This massive influx of illegal immigration is problematic takes a toll on the economy, safety, and culture of our nation.
A Nation at War With Itself

Thus the Treasury Department just breezed by a deadline from the House Ways and Means Committee to deliver Trump's tax returns.

Did the President Obstruct Justice?
- By Judge Andrew Napolitano
When the Department of Justice designated Robert Mueller as special counsel to take over the FBI investigation of the Trump campaign in May 2017, Mueller's initial task was to determine if there had been a conspiracy -- an illegal agreement -- between the campaign and any Russians to receive anything of value.
When former FBI Director James Comey informed Mueller that he believed Trump fired him because he had declined Trump's order to shut down the investigation of Trump's campaign and of his former national security advisor, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, Mueller began to investigate whether the president had unlawfully attempted to obstruct those investigations.

Beware Soros-Funded Hijacking of US Census
- By Michelle Malkin
"Are you a U.S. citizen?"
Only in self-defeating, sovereignty-eroding America is the idea of asking whether people living in America are American citizens for the American census a matter of controversy.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments on whether the Trump administration can include a citizenship question on the high-stakes 2020 Census questionnaire. Thank goodness, the conservative majority indicated support for allowing it. There's already such a question on the annual American Community Survey administered by the Census Bureau. It was asked in long-form questionnaires sent to a sample of households in 2000. And it was regularly asked in historical census forms from 1820-1950.
Tragedy in Sri Lanka: How Church Leaders Can Respond to Secular Media
- By Christian Newswire
CHICAGO -- Reports of Sri Lanka's Easter Sunday tragedy have flooded the news, prompting some to ask if God forgot His people on the most sacred day of the Christian calendar. Over 300 dead and more than 500 injured from bombings that targeted churches in Sri Lanka's Negombo, Batticaloa and Colombo's Kochchikade districts during Easter morning services. Those outside the Christian faith are asking a tough question of church leaders: If God is all-powerful, loving and good, why would He allow such a high-profile tragedy to take place in His houses of worship on a day set aside to honor Him?

The Democrats Divide on Impeachment
- By Pat Buchanan
The release of the Mueller report has left Democrats in a dilemma. For consider what Robert Mueller concluded after two years of investigation.
Candidate Donald Trump did not conspire or collude with the Russians to hack the emails of the DNC or John Podesta. Trump did not distribute the fruits of those crimes. Nor did anyone in his campaign. On collusion and conspiracy, said Mueller, Trump is innocent.
Supreme Court Responds to Christian Plea for Relief from Anti-Christian Attacks
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON -- Public Advocate heartily thanks the U.S. Supreme Court for taking up the issue of the wrongful expansion of Title VII rights via the reinterpretation of "discrimination on the basis of sex" to include sexual activity.
"Most cases don't get heard and we are elated that Christians get two hearings at the Supreme Court on cases in which non-existent or fabricated legislation seems to restrict the religious beliefs of Christians in two separate cases," says Eugene Delgaudio, president of Public Advocate.
Justice Kavanaugh and GMU Snowflakes
- By Walter Williams
George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School hired Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh to co-teach a course this summer called Creation of the Constitution. The course will be held 3,668 miles away, in Runnymede, England, where the Magna Carta was sealed 800 years ago. Some George Mason University students and faculty have become triggered. One student told George Mason's Board of Visitors, "It has affected my mental health knowing that an abuser will be part of our faculty." Another said, "The hiring of Kavanaugh threatens the mental well-being of all survivors on this campus." The Washington Post reports that a petition to fire Kavanaugh has gathered almost 3,500 signatures and has the endorsement of George Mason Democrats. GMU students have created separate forms for parents and alumni to pledge that they will not donate to the university so long as Kavanaugh is teaching.

Socialism’s Hard Truth
- By Eagle Forum
Socialism, or Democratic Socialism, is portrayed as a system that helps those in need most and gives everyone a fair chance at success. This ideal system would redistribute the wealth of the 1% to provide a basic income, free healthcare, free college tuition, and free child care, just to name a few. These talking points tend to hit home with almost every American who spends a large chunk of the paycheck on everyday necessities or conveniences.

Whom the Gods Would Destroy
- By Mike Scruggs
The Truth about Marijuana, Mental Illness, and Violence
In 441 BC, the Greek playwright Sophocles wrote a drama called Antigone that contained this line:
“Evil appears good in the minds of those whom God leads to destruction.”
Similar observations can be found in other Greek, Hebrew, and Roman literature, including Isaiah 5:20 written sometime before 686 BC.
“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil…”
Another familiar form of it is spoken by Prometheus in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow’s play, “The Masque of Pandora,” written in 1875:
“Whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.”
In August 2017, Senator Cory Booker, Democrat from New Jersey, introduced a bill in the U.S. Senate to legalize marijuana on the federal level.
