Parents Take Child's Protection Into Their Own Hands with Online Martial Arts
- By Christian Newswire
ST. LOUIS -- Parents no longer need to outsource self-defense training for their children. They can teach it themselves using an online martial arts resource called The Great Flip.
"Not everyone is ready for the big martial arts experience and expense," says Jody Token, The Great Flip, creator and coach.
"I developed The Great Flip to teach my daughters self-defense skills and increase their confidence. I believe everyone can teach and learn self-defense skills using my online videos and lesson plans," says Token.
Waters Calls for New Flag Honoring Black Americans
- By Waters for Delegate
Waters introduces Black Woman to State Flag: "Flag not based on theory, but truth."
NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Matt Waters, GOP nominee for newly created Virginia House District 70, called for the Virginia State Seal and Flag to be modified to include an African American woman.
Waters said, "I have always thought our Virginia flag, featuring a female figure personifying the Roman virtue of Virtus was lacking. Unlike Black Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson who could not define what a woman is, our flag can and should do so. And I'm not the first to say so. In fact, acknowledging that the state seal lacked "artistic grace and beauty," and more specifically that the seal looked like a man, back in 1901 the secretary of the commonwealth decided to expose a breast in order to confirm the image on our flag was a woman. That didn't solve the problem, and some would argue it made the situation worse as we're the only flag in the union to have nudity on it. We can fix both problems by adding an African American woman to our flag who looks like a woman at first glance, and who is fully clothed.
Kevin McCarthy Is Not the Problem
- By Star Parker
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley got to the heart of the government shutdown fireworks in her appearance on Fox News Sunday.
"Let's be clear what the Freedom Caucus is really trying to do; they are trying to cut spending."
That's of course correct. One would be hard-pressed to find any Republican, Freedom Caucus member or not, who does not understand the gravity of the state of our federal budget and spending.
Major Victories for Faith-Based Foster Care in South Carolina
- By Becket Law
State wins two federal court fights to keep partnerships with faith-based foster care ministries
WASHINGTON – A federal court on Fridayupheld South Carolina’s decision to do the right thing: continue partnering with faith-based foster care ministries that provide loving homes for children. In Rogers v. Health and Human Services and Maddonna v. Health and Human Services, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Americans United for Separation of Church and State sued Governor Henry McMaster to try to stop the state from working with religious foster agencies. On Friday, a federal court shut down these attempts to shutter faith-based foster care, rejecting challenges to South Carolina’s efforts to protect children in foster care and the families who serve them. These decisions will make it easier for all foster families in South Carolina to find an agency that meets their unique needs and for more foster children to find loving homes.
The Open Door Narrative
- By Sarah Courtney
The mySCGOP leader and Greenville County State EC has mentioned throughout his tenure that his “door is always open”, and that people are welcome to bring any concerns to him to “talk it out.” Isn’t this biblical? After all Matt 5:24 talks about reconciling with your brother and Prov 25:8 and other verses relate to reconciling with your brother quickly. However, many have found this particular “open door” policy to be just a narrative and a false one at that. Consider the following:
Courting Favor? Senator's Cases Before Magistrates Raise Ethics Questions
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
For more than a year, longtime senator-lawyer Brad Hutto has represented dozens of mainly criminal clients in Orangeburg County magistrate courts before judges whom he played a prominent role in nominating, an investigation by The Nerve found.
Hutto, the Senate’s Democratic minority leader who has been in office since 1996, also has appeared at times before magistrates in Bamberg and Barnwell counties, where he has sole nomination authority.
In addition, Hutto’s son, Skyler Hutto, who works in the same Orangeburg-based law firm as his father, represented dozens of clients over the past 18 months before magistrates whom his father helped nominate, The Nerve’s review found.
Sen. Hutto isn’t the only senator-lawyer who has handled cases before magistrates nominated by that senator, records show, though Hutto is the focus of this story because of the relatively large number of magistrate cases handled by him and his son.
The Divine Providence of God

Understanding the Firm Hand of God’s Love
![Understanding the Firm Hand of Gods Love](/images/18-08/Understanding-the-Firm-Hand-of-Gods-Love.jpg)
“How Great Thou Art”
Stories of God’s Providence fill both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible. The Christian Doctrine of Providence has given much comfort and encouragement to God’s people and is closely connected to the Doctrine of God’s absolute Sovereignty over all creation. Christian author, speaker, and leader Jerry Bridges (1929-2016) defined the basic nature of God’s Providence, however, in a simple but beautiful and powerful sentence:
“God’ Providence is His constant care for and His absolute rule over all creation for His own glory and the good of his people.”
Bridges, a senior leader of the Navigators Christian Discipleship Ministry for many years, also gave a two-sentence description of the awesome comprehensiveness of God’s Providence:
“Nothing is too large or small to escape God’s governing hand. The spider building its web in the corner and Napoleon marching his army across Europe are both under God’s control.”

THE BIRTH, LIFE, AND DEATH OF THE CONFEDERATED REPUBLICS OF AMERICA, CA. 2050/55 A.D.-CA. 2150 A.D.
“In our last class session I discussed that by around the year 2050 A.D., large numbers of people from parts of the by-now disintegrating Old United States, many of the militia groups that had been battling against the increasingly tyrannical government of that now-extinct nation and the military of the Chin Empire that had occupied much of it, plus many thousands of the members of the armed military forces that had been serving under the old “We The People” Constitution of the United States, and who still adhered in varying degrees to that constitution, began congregating (mostly for safety and survival) in the Southeastern part of the GreatNorthernContinent, and as they arrived, began to declare themselves to be a “New, Free, and Independent Nation” whose name, they decided in an early founding meeting, was to be The Confederated Republics of America, named such due to all of the former “states” of the Old United States that had declared themselves a part of the new Confederation, and who now considered themselves to be free and independent “republics”.
A Victory for Conservative Republican Women within the NFRW
- By James Spurck, Publisher
![NFRW 2023 Delegation](/images/18-08/NFRW_2023_Delegation.jpg)
The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) is the national women's wing of the Republican Party. It was established in 1938 and has tens of thousands of active members. Its leadership has been moderately Republican from mostly blue states for years now. And the recently proposed slate was more of the same. The slated President has one or more transgender women in her organization!
During its 42nd Biennial Convention in Oklahoma City and in a great show of solidarity, four conservative red-state women WON FROM the FLOOR. It has been said that this has never happened before. The current 4th Vice President Julie Harris of Springdale, Arkansas was elected as president for the 2024-2025 term. She will succeed NFRW President Eileen Sobjack of Washington, who is serving as president during the 2022-2023 biennium.
Washington's Credit Card Price Controls Will Hurt Consumers
- By Stephen Moore
Why has Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) declared war on credit cards?
Americans are in love with paying with plastic.
Perhaps too much so -- given that credit card debt now exceeds $1 trillion.
But paying with plastic has become a sort of American pastime -- so popular and convenient (especially reward programs that offer cash-back payments, frequent flyer miles and other discounts) that there are now an estimated 500 million to 1 billion credit cards in circulation and close to another 1 billion debit cards. This means there are multiple more credit and debit cards than there are adults in the U.S.
Why Liberal? Why Conservative?
- By Winston McCuen - South Carolina
One of the great mysteries of life is political and religious conviction. Why are some people liberals, and others conservative? Why are some people atheists or false religionists, and others Christian? Why do beliefs or convictions, over time, remain fixed or change — by smaller degrees, or by fundamental, life-changing conversion?
In this fallen world, the Christian conservative is one who staunchly and heroically upholds God's Word and God's Law, applying them to all issues personal and public, while struggling against sin in self and in others. In politics, he wisely understands that governments are run by fallen men and so must be organized and maintained accordingly for the protection of society and the good of all. But this true, Christian conservative must not be confused with the weak and ever-compromising and ever-surrendering positional or relative conservative of mere expediency.
The Southern Border Crisis Is 'Intentional,' Experts Say
- By Sarah Holliday - The Washington Stand
Recent reports show how damaging the southern border crisis continues to be, as millions of migrants stream into the U.S. illegally. Even Barack Obama’s Homeland Security secretary, Jeh Johnson, admitted, “[T]his needs to be, for the Biden administration, for the U.S. government, an all-hands-on-deck, whole-of-government effort to address this crisis.” It’s turning “cities upside down,” he insisted. Ten years ago, Johnson shook his head, “[We] felt like the world was coming to an end” when the numbers were a fraction of what they are now.

Cancel Culture Using the Pseudo-Ailment, Eco-Anxiety, to Cure the Non-Existence of Manmade Global Warming/Climate Change
- By Kathleen Marquardt - American Policy Center
In 1972, at the First Earth Summit in Stockholm, the issue of climate change was raised for the first time on the world stage, “warning governments to be mindful of activities that could lead to climate change and evaluate the likelihood and magnitude of climatic effects.” 1
And most of the world is aware of the Rio Earth Summit that gave us Agenda 21/Sustainable Development – specifically to use Climate Change to reorganize the world from the top down. Ever since then, the global elite has been working to meld every positive aspect of our lives into enemies of a healthy climate – industrialization, free-market capitalism, property rights, individual freedoms, and even moral absolutes.
Our New Black Republican Leaders
- By Star Parker
Recently I wrote about Mesha Mainor, who represents a deep blue district in Atlanta in the Georgia state legislature, announcing that she is switching parties and becoming a Republican.
Mainor specifically noted her frustration with the Democratic Party in its opposition to improving education through parental choice and ongoing Democratic weakness in building strong law enforcement.
I cannot claim a new wave of Black Democrats like Mainor becoming Republicans. But there is certainly a trend.
Truth in a World of Lies
- By Tonya Cunningham - South Carolina
According to a 19th-century legend, the Truth and the Lie meet one day. The Lie says to the Truth: "It's a marvelous day today!" The Truth looks up to the skies and sighs, for the day was really beautiful. They spend a lot of time together, ultimately arriving beside a well. The Lie tells the Truth: "The water is very nice, let's take a bath together!" The Truth, once again suspicious, tests the water and discovers that it indeed is very nice. They undress and start bathing. Suddenly, the Lie comes out of the water, puts on the clothes of the Truth, and runs away. The furious Truth comes out of the well and runs everywhere to find the Lie and to get her clothes back. The World, seeing the Truth naked, turns its gaze away, with contempt and rage.
United Nations Staging Major "Summit of the Future" in 2024
- By The John Birch Society
Last week, the United Nations wrapped up its General Assembly regular session, along with its Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit. The globalist organization wasted no time pushing for greater global control — with the goal of one-world government.
For example, the UN pledged to double down on implementing its totalitarian Agenda 2030 plan and associated Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN General Assembly passed a resolution to accelerate Agenda 2030’s implementation, and the UN is working to create a new global financial system to help implement the SDGs. More broadly, the UN also promoted greater global integration, touting “multilateral treaties” as “essential tools for Member States to achieve the objectives of the UN Charter,” and it continued its use of climate-change hysteria to help achieve global, totalitarian control.
Can a Supernatural Hypothesis be Falsifiable?
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
One of the main ways that evolutionists try to claim the creation science is not science is by insisting that science only allows for naturalistic explanations. This is usually justified by claiming that supernatural explanations are not falsifiable. The real reason for insisting that only naturalistic explanations is the fact that only naturalistic explanations are acceptable to atheists, and they seem to have undue influence within the establishment scientific community.

State Library Leaves Marxist ALA
- By SC Freedom Caucus
Did you hear about the latest victory in the fight against the radical Left?
The South Carolina State Library terminated its membership with the woke American Library Association (ALA). This is a HUGE win for students and parental rights.
For those of you who haven’t followed the increasing leftward shift of the ALA, the organization recently elected Emily Drabinski as its President. Ms. Drabinksi is a self-proclaimed Marxist who expressed her desire to “queer the library catalog” and expose children to the “radical library catalog” of transgenderism, prostitution, masturbation, erotica, and other topics that should not be pushed on minors. In her bid for ALA president, Ms. Drabinski advocated for an ALA whose “public statements will be … socialist in tone.” She recently spoke at the Socialism 2023 conference in Chicago calling for public education and libraries to become a “site of socialist organizing.”

Solving America's Housing Woes or Making Them Worse?
- By Veronique de Rugy
America needs more housing. Pressure for reform is only growing as available homes get less and less affordable. Unfortunately, rather than addressing the root cause of high housing prices -- an epidemic of local overregulation that prevents enough homes from being built -- some legislators continue to flirt with social experiments that can harm both landlords and renters.
For example, some states and localities have implemented well-meaning "fair chance" laws banning criminal history on background checks for prospective tenants. Progressive Reps. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., and Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., recently introduced the idea as federal legislation. In a statement, Pressley said, "It's time we remove the systemic obstacles that have exacerbated the prison-to-homelessness pipeline."
District 19 is About to Have a First-of-Its-Kind Development Forced Into It
- By Benton Blount - Greenville County Councilman, District 19
I say forced because both my predecessor and myself have fought to keep it from happening, and they have now manipulated the information surrounding it to hide how this all took place and are prepared to vote it in against both my, and the constituent's wishes. Much like Project Woven less than a week ago, they are ignoring the requests of the community, district, and presiding Councilman. But this one is something that should terrify any concerned citizen, because they believe they know what’s best for you, more than you do!
“Cherokee Landing” is the newest attempt to shove affordable housing down the White Horse Road Corridor. It will sit directly behind the post office in Berea, between WHR and Farrs Bridge Road.
Email Sent from 15 Greenville ECs in Response to GCRP Chairman's Failed Compliancy
- By Press Release
![GCRP Special Called Meeting Voting on Motion](/images/18-08/GCRP-Special-Called-Meeting-Voting-on-Motion.jpg)
Editor's Note: The following letter was emailed to all Greenville County Republican Party Precinct Executive Committeemen and Presidents (Click HERE for the Motions addressed in this letter.)
---------------
We, the 15 ECs who called for the September 14th Special Business Meeting, are writing to respond to the passing of the deadline of September 24, 2023 without any compliance from Chairman Yvonne Julian.
An egregious campaign has been engaged in, before and after the Special Meeting, by Ms. Yvonne Julian and Mr. Jeff Davis to malign our character, assume our motives, and ultimately distract from the real issues. Let us be clear: we are all Patriots, are not aligned with any group or politician, and are actively engaged in all the issues vital to our county. Any attempt to minimize the countless hours of work we are doing in Greenville County is reprehensible, especially coming from Officers, and should be rejected by all fair minded members of the body. In addition, many of us began addressing these issues prior to 2023 ReOrg, so any effort to state our motives are due to a “loss” at the County Convention is demonstratively false. We called a Special Business Meeting, not an “emergency” meeting, in accordance with our county rules. We provided notice beyond the required 24 hour minimum and handled all the details for the location, set up/take down, parking, etc. to ensure minimal inconvenience to the body. It was unfortunate that the air conditioning stopped working, but it was no less uncomfortable than the heat, mosquitos, and traffic noise we endured graciously during each meeting held in the HQ backyard. It is unbecoming conduct of Officers to mock people and go after their personal lives, businesses, etc. in response to reasonable requests to be given documents all ECs have a right to see.
Wade Hampton: Southern Gentleman
- By Bob Dill - Founder of The Times Examiner
The Life and Times of Gen. Wade Hampton, His Upstate Roots, Military Record and Political Impact on South Carolina History
When we think of historic figures who have had an impact on South Carolina history, we may thing of John C. Calhoun, “Pitchfork” Ben Tillman, J. Strom Thurmond, House Speaker David Wilkins or Rev. Jesse Jackson.
The single individual who has had the greatest impact on South Carolina History, in my view, was a man with Upstate roots, whose grandparents, uncles and aunts were massacred by Indians while living in a log cabin on the Tyger River near what is now Greer, South Carolina.
He is honored with a large statue on the grounds of the state capitol. A highway and school are named for him in Greenville County, yet the truth of his historic impact on the state has been mostly hidden from students in recent years.
Quotes from America’s Forbidden Historical Narrative

Freedom without Truth Is an Impostor
![Quotes from Americas Forbidden Historical Narrative](/images/18-08/Quotes-from-Americas-Forbidden-Historical-Narrative.jpg)
William Wallace, Aberdeen, Scotland
ot long ago, I ran across a quote attributed to Scottish martyr and hero William Wallace, depicted by Mel Gibson in the 1995 movie, Braveheart. Wallace warned against the consequences of crushing the cultural heritage, symbols, and traditions of conquered peoples.
“Any society which suppresses the heritage of its conquered minorities, prevents their history or denies them their symbols, has sown the seeds of their own destruction.”—William Wallace, circa 1297-1305
Born in 1270, Wallace was a Scottish Knight who became one of the main leaders of the First Scottish War of Independence (1296-1328). Scotland had been independent until 1296, when England’s Edward I, tried to force the Scots to make him Lord Paramount of Scotland. Along with Andrew Moray, Wallace defeated an English army of King Edward I at the Battle of Stirling Bridge in September 1297 and was appointed Guardian of Scotland. In August 1305, Wallace was captured, sent to London, tried, and publicly executed for treason with barbaric cruelty.
