Local evangelical churches distribute groceries, hot meals to hundreds of traumatized Israeli families
LOVES PARK, Ill.-- Jewish Christians in Israel, including Russian-speaking immigrants who’ve fled the war in Ukraine, are delivering aid to traumatized Israeli families, even as rockets continue to rain down.
Hamas continues to fire rockets at the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon, where many frightened families are huddled in bomb shelters.
Partnering with Illinois-based Slavic Gospel Association (SGA, www.sga.org), members of local Russian-speaking evangelical churches in Israel are distributing free groceries and serving hundreds of hot meals daily to overwhelmed Israelis.
They began providing aid within hours of the first wave of attacks on Israeli cities.

Gog, Magog, Meshech, and Tubal

End-Times Geography: Specific or Symbolic?
Ezekiel was a priest and prophet of ancient Israel. He was born in Israel about 622 BC and died circa 570 BC in Babylon during the Babylonian captivity. He began to prophesy about 593 BC and foretold the siege of Jerusalem as God’s judgement. The siege actually occurred beginning about 588 BC. About 585 BC, in Ezekiel 37, God revealed to him that He would return the Jews to Israel. Also in 585 BC, in Ezekiel 38 and 39, he further prophesized a great future battle and God’s judgement on Israel’s enemies. The Book of Revelation is filled with references to Ezekiel. In fact, much of Revelation parallels Ezekiel.
‘There Is a Palestinian Refugee Crisis Today Because of Arab Nations’: Expert
- By A Washington Stand Staff Report
How should we approach Israel’s ongoing conflicts from a historical perspective? Dr. A.J. Nolte, chair of the Government Graduate Program and director of the International Development M.A. Program at Regent University, sat down to discuss this and more on “Washington Watch with Tony Perkins” on October 19.
TONY PERKINS: Many of us know our Old Testament history. God gave the land to Israel, but [we know] less about the 20th century history of Israel and the actions and decisions that brought us to that point. Help us understand the more modern history of Israel, the Palestinian Mandate, and how we arrived [here].
A.J. NOLTE: Okay, very good. And I will try to be as succinct here as possible. There’s a lot of history, and it can get dense, but I do want to start, actually, with a brief dip into the 19th century, because one of the terms that you’ll often hear thrown around in this discussion of modern Israel is “Zionism.” And especially with the U.N. often talking, and some of the Palestinian activists talking, about Zionism as racism. I think we need to quickly define that, because it’s hard to understand the story of Israel without it. So Zionism, at its core, is the idea that the Jewish people ought to have their own nation state. So it is a subspecies of nationalism. That aspect is true, but it’s a nationalism that is, I would say, in many ways kind of civically oriented. And … it is trying to answer the question of “What does it mean to be a Jew in the modern world?” And this question is actually first prompted — not by pogroms and not by the ghetto — but by the fact that Jews in Europe were emancipated, that they’re given their full civil rights in many European countries.
Born To Run – God’s Gold Medalist
- By W.H. Lamb
“They shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary” - Isaiah 40:31
Some people seem “born to run”. I was never one of that number, but some men and women make it look easy; their Creator apparently blessed them with “swift genes” and invisible “wings” on their feet. One of these people who loved to run was a Scotsman named Eric Henry Liddell (1902-1945). God blessed Eric with a love for running that I never had, to such an extent that during his university days he was considered the fastest runner in Scotland. He was awarded a Gold Medal in the 1924 Paris Olympics for winning the “400 Meter” race, an event in which he had been given almost no chance ofmedaling, for his true specialty was the “100 Meter” race, from which Liddell had previously withdrawn. Why would a world-class runner withdraw from an event that he was favored to win? Therein lies the story of this special man, the future missionary who seemed to have “wings on his feet”, but who left the world of sports to serve his LORD and Savior in China.

Americans Learned a Financial-Crisis Lesson. Washington Did Not.
- By Veronique de Rugy
Congress and the Biden administration seem unaware that rising interest rates are about as "transitory" as they told us inflation would be -- meaning, likely to be around for quite a while. Why does this matter? Ask someone who's been enticed by a mortgage with a variable interest rate that starts low and then rises quickly when conditions change.
Over the past month, yields on 10-year notes have risen sharply to 4.8%, well above the prevailing rate over the past 16 years. Meanwhile, two-year Treasuries are paying a 5.2% yield, and three-month Treasury bills are paying 5.5% -- much higher than the rates projected by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) in February. For this quarter, CBO assumed a ten-year yield of 3.9%; it's currently 4.7%.
Actions Being Taken on Israel While Congress Continues to Try to Elect a Speaker
- By Eagle Forum
It seems like it’s Groundhog Day again in Congress. This is the third week without a Speaker of the House and there is still no viable path forward. After Majority Leader Steve Scalise’s (R-LA) withdrawal from the race, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) was selected to be the GOP nominee. With only 124 Republicans out of 221 voting in favor of Rep. Jordan in the closed-door conference, he had a lot of work to do to win over the holdouts.
After taking a long weekend to meet with Members voting against him, Rep. Jordan requested a floor vote on Tuesday. News of hardline votes flipping in favor of Rep. Jordan was trickling in. When House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL) who is known as a “moderate” announced his support for Rep. Jordan, some followed suit. However, it wasn’t enough.
What is the evolutionist perspective on the word “evolutionist?”
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
One of the biggest ironies about evolutionists is the tendency for them to reject the word “evolutionist.” At first glance it seems hard to understand after all it is a useful term for describing somebody who accepts the notion not just of universal common descent evolution but the entire Big Bang to man evolutionary mythology. Even more, they refused to give a meaningful alternative that could be used in its place.
It is not uncommon when referring to evolutionists online, for them to criticize the use of the word “evolutionist.” They claim that it is a word invented by and only used by creationists to make evolution look like some look like a belief system when it is supposedly based on evidence. The problem is the fact that the word “evolutionist” can be found in dictionaries both on and offline along with the definition of belief.

- By The Presidential Prayer Team
SCOTTSDALE, Az. -- On October 10, 2023, several large email providers began blocking or severely restricting delivery of email messages from The Presidential Prayer Team to its subscribed members. The action started during the sending of a special call for prayer over the attack on Israel by Hamas. The blockage has affected nearly 1 out of 4 members from receiving their prayer resources.
Terrorist Jihad against the Jews and Israel
- By Mike Scruggs
Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood
At dawn on Saturday, October 7, Israeli time, according to the Israeli Defense Force (IDF), more than 2,200 modern rockets were launched from the Palestinian Gaza strip along the Mediterranean Sea targeting civilian and military targets in Israel. The Hamas terrorists responsible claimed to have launched over 5,000 rockets. This was followed by over 2,500 Hamas infantry infiltrating into nearby civilian areas and slaughtering men, women, and children on the streets and in their homes. As many as 400 hostages may have been taken. This Hamas strike may have involved two years of planning and training. Where did they get the missiles?
Biblical Parallels to Israel Tragedies Call for Lamentation
- By Joshua Arnold - The Washington Stand
**Editor’s note: The following article contains graphic descriptions of violence that may be inappropriate for children. Parental and reader discretion is advised.
Enough time has elapsed since Hamas’s coordinated strike against Israeli civilians to uncover some of the horrific deeds they perpetrated. As of Wednesday morning, Israeli casualties exceeded 1,200 killed and 3,000 injured, most of which were civilians, according to Israel’s U.S. embassy. While tragic, this gruesome carnage is not entirely unprecedented; parallels are recorded even in Israel’s own history.
As more details emerge, so do more biblical parallels. Hamas slaughtered hundreds of young people gathered at a desert music festival near the border, leaving behind “bodies cut in half, heads, hands, arms,” according to one volunteer assisting with the cleanup. Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have discovered 40 babies, some of which were beheaded, among the dead at a kibbutz near the Gaza Strip. Terrorists raped women, kidnapped children and the elderly, and posted videos of the captives to taunt Israelis.
Where Have All the Good Men and Women Gone?
- By Kathleen Marquardt - American Policy Center
“Fourteen major American cities are part of a globalist climate organization known as the “C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group,” which has an “ambitious target” by the year 2030 of “0 kg [of] meat consumption,” “0 kg [of] dairy consumption,” “3 new clothing items per person per year,” “0 private vehicles” owned, and “1 short-haul return flight (less than 1500 km) every 3 years per person.” 1
Where are all the airline owners and stockholders when we are told that we peons may make only one short-haul flight every 3 years?
Do they really think the global elite will be supporting them? Think again, many of them have their own planes. The number of those who don’t can’t possibly begin to support more than a very few small carriers.

Trans Domestic Terrorism
- By Catholic League for Religious and Civil Rights
NEW YORK -- There is a violent streak among trans activists that is underreported in the media. The following events all took place this year.
February 2023—National Public Radio (NPR) ran a story on Rainbow Reload, a group of trans activists training with firearms in New Hampshire. While NPR usually opposes the 2nd Amendment, in this particular story, NPR frames these activists in a heroic light noting that LGBT people are under attack across America. One member of Rainbow Reload said he joined the group because "there's been an uptick in groups that have been protesting drag story times and drag shows. And it felt like I needed to learn how to protect myself." NPR concludes the piece with the line "the guns over their shoulders a source of security in a world that feels full of threats," further highlighting the sense that trans activists are in an armed conflict for their survival.
New Mexico’s Democratic AG Won’t Defend Democratic Governor’s Gun Ban
- By Bob Adelmann - The New American

Not only has New Mexico’s Democratic Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham divorced herself from all reality, she is also divorcing herself from those most likely to support her: other Democrats.
On Tuesday, New Mexico State Attorney General Raul Torrez, a Democrat, wrote Grisham that she was on her own in defending herself against a slew of lawsuits her unconstitutional gun ban has drawn from various gun rights groups:
Though I recognize my statutory obligation as New Mexico’s chief legal officer to defend state officials when they are sued in their official capacity, my duty to uphold and defend the constitutional rights of every citizen takes precedence.
Simply put, I do not believe that [your] Emergency Order [EO] will have any meaningful impact on public safety but, more importantly, I do not believe it passes constitutional muster.

Our Public Schools Are a National Disaster
- By Stephen Moore
Perhaps what's most distressing about the latest collapse in high school test scores is that no one seems to be very distressed.
You've probably heard the news that ACT scores have fallen for the sixth straight year. Our high school kids are less equipped for a job or college than at any time in three decades.
Why isn't anyone in Washington or anyone in our $800 billion education bureaucracy sounding the alarm and declaring this a national emergency? It certainly puts our national security, our technological superiority and our economic prosperity in grave danger.
'We're in Disarray': House Speaker Race Wide Open after Scalise Withdraws
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
House Republicans acknowledge “a lot of conflict” between its factions has driven the party into “disarray,” as the leading candidate for Speaker of the House withdrew his candidacy on Thursday.
“It wasn’t going to happen today. It wasn’t going to happen tomorrow. It needs to happen soon, but I’ve withdrawn my name,” said House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), as he bowed out of the speaker’s race.
Scalise had beaten Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) 113-99 to win the nomination of the House Republican Conference for speaker. But a candidate needs 217 votes to be elected by the full chamber. Hours of meetings with fellow Republicans reportedly caused him to shed more votes needed to secure the gavel.
Israel, Hamas—and the Fatal Flaw That Will Affect the World
- By Joseph M. Bianchi
Recently the world has beheld acts of violence and carnage that were only believed to exist in a nightmare—or Hollywood horror movie: innocent men, women, and children, indeed, babes, slaughtered at the hands of Hamas terrorists.
We could puzzle on how the Israeli government and the Mossad, perhaps the most efficient and sophisticated intelligence gathering organization in the world, missed a terrorist operation that was meticulously planned—with some training done in the open.
But that is beside the point now. Israel is in a state of war that will have grand implications, not only for the Jewish state, but for the world.
