Can Democrats Save Entitlements And Healthcare?
- By Jane M. Orient
The Washington Post of October 18 says that the biggest issues in the midterm elections are the threat that Republicans will slash Medicare and Social Security, and maybe get around to repealing ObamaCare after all. It quotes a tweet from Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) that Republican statements about “adjusting” entitlements are “Washington-speak for cutting the Medicare and Social Security benefits you have worked hard to earn and making you pay for tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires.”
So, will rescinding the tax cuts and taxing the “rich” even more fix the problems?
Individuals Leaving LGBTQ Lifestyle Schedule Freedom March for Los Angeles
- By Christian Newswire
LOS ANGELES -- A newly created group of former LGBTQ identifying Christians plan to march in cities throughout the nation to provide community for and public awareness of those who have shed their LGBTQ identity to follow Jesus Christ. They call themselves "Freedom March," and are holding an event in heart of Los Angeles on November 4th. Press is encouraged to attend.
"I was transformed through the grace of Jesus and found that others have been as well," Freedom March founder Jeffrey McCall said. "These marches are a way to ensure that others who have overcome are not feeling isolated and alone."
Painting of a Post-Constitutional America
- By Dr. William Scott Magill
Hillary declared, "You cannot be civil with a political party that wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about." On a deeper level she was speaking of the Left’s belief in Socialism over the Constitutional Republic for which we fought and bled. In that spirit Eric Holder declared “when they go low, we kick ‘em.” This gives us a glimpse into the deep hostility harbored by the left against true Americans.
These two comments bear a striking resemblance to the political philosophy of Vladimir Lenin who led the violent Bolshevik Revolution of Russian.
Saudi Arabia versus the Muslim Brotherhood
- By Mike Scruggs
Insight into the Death of Jamal Khashoggi
There are two main things you need to know about the presumed brutal death of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi. First, the Saudi-born and raised Khashoggi, who held permanent U.S. resident (Green Card) status, was an influential member of the Muslim Brotherhood. Second, while Saudi relations with the Muslim Brotherhood had been supportive in the past, after the so-called “Arab Spring” in 2011, the Saudis strongly suspected that the Muslim Brotherhood planned to overthrow the Saudi monarchy and replace them with a regime much less cooperative with secularist or Judeo-Christian dominated Western powers. The Brotherhood is fervently committed to the principle that all Muslim rulers should be firmly dedicated to Islamic Supremacy and global Jihad against all non-Muslims. The Brotherhood, established in 1928 in Egypt, is a fundamentalist Islamic revivalist movement committed to the teachings of the Koran, Muhammad, and his early “rightly guided” companions. In its quest for world Islamic dominance, the Brotherhood seeks to purify Islam of secularist and infidel contamination as a prerequisite for Allah’s favor.

Fake Forgiveness
- By Ben Graydon
“I forgive you.” Sounds like Jesus-speak, does it not? After all, Jesus did tell us to forgive our enemies, did He not … that we should not expect to be forgiven if we ourselves do not forgive, right?
But what if someone “forgives” you for something that you did not do? “I forgive you for stealing from me.” “I forgive you for gossiping about me behind my back.” “I forgive you for slandering me.” Etc., etc., etc.
First off, implicit in this “forgiveness” is an accusation that you actually did the evil to the “forgiver.” But there is no due process. There is no evidence offered that you did the thing. There is only the accusation, couched in what pretends to be “forgiveness.” And this sort of “forgiveness” is not done face to face, man to man (in biblical fashion) with the accused, for in that setting, the two parties, the accused and the accuser, both know the truth and it has no effectiveness if there is no crime behind it; no, it is done in public – the words are spoken in a public forum, often when the one “forgiven” is not even present, for maximum effect.

To Be An Ant or A Grasshopper – Upon That Decision Hangs Our Fate As Free People!
- By W.H. Lamb
I wrote a version of this article for The Times Examiner almost ten years ago, but considering the seriousness of the times we find ourselves living in, and considering the warnings of impending doom staring our historic American Constitutional Republic in its face should the despicable members of The New Bolshevik Party (formerly Democrats) regain control of the U.S. House of Representatives and/or the U.S. Senate in the November 6th, 2018 elections, I thought it imperative to redo the lessons therein, and publish them to a wider audience in the digital version of The Times Examiner. The original “story” is not mine, and my previous article said “author unknown”, and still is. I’ve ‘updated” it so the guilty parties will be immediately recognizable.

Time for Trump to Cut the Prince Loose?
- By Pat Buchanan
Was the assassination of JFK by Lee Harvey Oswald still getting as much media coverage three weeks after his death as it did that first week after Nov. 22, 1963? Not as I recall.
Yet, three weeks after his murder, Jamal Khashoggi, who was not a U.S. citizen, was not killed by an American, and died not on U.S. soil but in a Saudi consulate in Istanbul, consumes our elite press.
The top two stories in Monday's Washington Post were about the Khashoggi affair. A third, inside, carried the headline, "Trump, who prizes strength, may look weak in hesitance to punish Saudis."
Greenville's Saturday Market
- By Greenville's Saturday Market
On Saturday mornings from the beginning of May until the end of October, two blocks of downtown Greenville’s Main Street are transformed into a bustling farmers' market aptly named the TD Saturday Market. Cars waiting patiently for traffic lights or the perfect parking spot are replaced with roughly 75 white tents — each one housing a vendor selling the season’s freshest produce—perhaps, red ripe strawberries in early June or singe-your-tongue hot peppers in late July— or the area’s most original and high quality crafts.
How to Handle Family Stress
- By Heather Sheen
Family life can be stressful. Humans are imperfect and even with two mature adults living in the same house, friction can happen. Add into the mix some immature children, complicate it by throwing in running a household and maintaining a regular homeschool schedule, and life can become “interesting” rather quickly!
Here are some tips our family has learned over the years to help smooth out and de-stress the process of living and working together.
Leftist Violence Natural Outgrowth of Authoritarian Ideology
- By David Limbaugh
What do you make of the leftist violence and anarchy all over the country lately? Is it just random and unrepresentative of the Democratic Party and the left as a whole? Or does it logically follow from what the left has become?
In Portland, Oregon, in June, a leftist mob surrounded a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office, barricading the exits and blocking the driveway. "Guards" patrolled the doors, trapping biohazard cleanup crew workers inside in stifling heat and with infernal odors. The agitators carried signs calling ICE employees Nazis and white supremacists. The Portland Police Bureau denied assistance to federal officers pleading for help.

Kennesaw State University Removes Restrictive 'Speech Zones' for Pro-Life Student Group
- By Christian Newswire
INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. -- Through a lawsuit last February, the Kennesaw State University chapter of Ratio Christi Campus Apologetics Alliance has prompted KSU to change its "speech zones" policies. On several occasions, KSU had relegated Ratio Christi's pro-life displays to be presented in a "speech zone" that made up less than 0.08 percent of the 405-acre campus, stating the subject was "controversial," and denying the use of other available space on campus.
An Ariel View of Trump's Israeli Policy
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
The Trump administration doesn't mind breaking with tradition -- and this past Tuesday, America's ambassador to Israel, David Friedman, notched another first for the president. In another departure from his predecessors, Trump's diplomat had violated tradition by visiting the Samarian city of Ariel for a business event. Under past presidents, the U.S. ambassadors to Israel have had an unwritten agreement not to cross the pre-1967 borders.

Military Poll a Morale Victory for Trump
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Under Barack Obama, the biggest threat to our military might have been the policies of the man in charge of it. From the toppling of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" to the rollout of open transgenderism, most service members couldn't wait to get back to the business of warfighting. In 2016, they got their wish. After eight long years, the new commander-in-chief went to work, rescuing our troops from the radical grip of the Obama years. "I want a very, very strong military," Donald Trump said. And he is proving it.

Scalping Fauxhontus
- By Burt Prelutsky
One can only imagine what Sen. Elizabeth Warren was thinking when she announced with great fanfare that she was 1/1024th Cherokee, but her high hopes were quickly dashed. As, very likely, was her shot at the 2020 presidential nomination.
It’s said that the American public has a short memory, but it’s highly unlikely that people are going to forget the jokes and cartoons that have greeted her grand announcement.
Among the outpouring of well-deserved ridicule, we had the line delivered by Ben Shapiro that “Today we learned from the media that having a great-great-great-great grandparent who was a Native American makes you an Indian, but two X chromosomes doesn’t make you a female.”
