Washington Center celebrates parent and volunteer Valerie Allen for her honor as the Greenville County Schools Spotlight Volunteer. Ms. Allen generously shares her time and talents in serving the school’s students and staff. She was recently received the Michelin sponsored award during a recognition ceremony attended by the Michelin Man, Michelin representatives and Washington Center supporters.

BJU to Host AACS National Competition

Bob Jones University will host nearly 2,000 students and their sponsors for the annual American Association of Christian Schools’ (AACS) National Competition April 9-11.
“For over four decades, BJU has hosted the AACS National Competition,” said BJU President Steve Pettit. “It is inspiring to watch young people from around the country showcase their talents as they compete for awards. We welcome the opportunity to serve Christian schools as they seek to provide a platform for students to develop their skills.”

Tigerville, SC - North Greenville University (NGU) is featured as one of the best Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree programs on TheBestSchools.org for 2019. NGU was also recently listed on Best Schools’ Top 10 Best Online Master's in Ministry Programs.
Best Schools connects prospective students with the best online degree programs available. This year, the website reviewed all accredited online Bachelor of Criminal Justice degree programs in the U.S. NGU ranks 22 out of the 50 programs selected. Programs were selected based on curriculum quality, faculty excellence, rankings, awards, and each school’s reputation for providing quality online degrees.

Bob Jones University to Display Pinwheel Garden

Bob Jones University will display pinwheel gardens at its Wade Hampton Boulevard entrance during the month of April in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Since 2008, the bright blue pinwheel has served as the national symbol of child abuse prevention as it symbolizes a happy and healthy childhood–something every child deserves. This is the fifth year BJU has participated in this nationwide event.

In addition to nominating someone as an outstanding GCS Graduate, individuals may also submit nominations in a new category for GCS Educators.
