The Fort Prince George Chapter National Society Daughters of the American Revolution held a Veterans Honor Service Saturday, November 4th at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Easley, for veterans who were on active duty from 1 November 1955 until 15 May 1975, especially Vietnam Veterans.
The Wren High School Navy JROTC Color Guard posted the colors.
Vietnam Veteran Steve Ehrlich posted the POW/MIA Flag as Bag Piper Roger Kilpatrick, a member of the City of Greenville Pipes and Drums performed Amazing Grace.

Remembering Steve Zietz

Born in Saginaw, MI, he was a son of Margaret Lucille Boorojian Zietz. Steve Zietz served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. He thoroughly enjoyed the Men’s Prayer Group at First Baptist Church Simpsonville.
In addition to his spouse, Patti Savoie, Mr. Zietz is survived by two sons, Mike Zietz and his wife, Melinda, of Greer, and Chris Zietz of Greenville; three bonus-sons, Brian Savoie and his wife, Katie, of MO, Brandon Savoie and his wife, Rachel, of MI, and Robby Savoie and his wife, Meagan, of IL; six grandchildren, Brodie Zietz, Nolan Savoie, Ryland Savoie, Finley Savoie, Rory Savoie and Quinn Savoie; and two brothers, David Zietz and Matthew Zietz, both of CA.

Steve Pettit, President of Bob Jones University, was the keynote speaker at the Grand Opening of the Major Ruldolf Anderson, Jr. American Legion Post 214 and Cecil D. Buchanan Museum of Military History.
Steve Pettit is a Christian Patriot and a graduate of both The Citadel and Bob Jones University.
During his address, he announced that Bob Jones University is expected to offer a military science program that will award officers commissions to Army and Air Force ROTC within the next two years.

CONGRESS ENACTED LEGISLATION IN 2016 ALLOWING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A WALL OF REMEMBRANCE AT THE SITE OF THE KOREAN WAR MEMORIAL IN D.C. IT WILL HAVE THE NAMES OF THE 37K AMERICAN KIA’s ENGRAVED IN IT. TAXPAYER FUNDS CANNOT BE USED TO CONSTRUCT THE WALL. THE COST PER NAME IS $350.00.
WE NEED YOUR HELP IN RAISING THE FUNDS FOR THE 548 SOUTH CAROLINIANS WHO LOST THEIR LIVES IN KOREA. GREENVILLE HAD MORE THAN 50 KIA’s.
