At Foley Gala, the Media Invites Disunity
- By Tony Perkins
This country's been through some tough times, but if there's one thing we could always fall back on, it was that -- no matter how fiercely we disagreed -- we were always united where it counted: as Americans. But in a day and age when common ground is shrinking by the day, even our identity is being tested. We've watched consensus issues turn contentious almost overnight. We've seen values that always seemed to rise above the partisan tags turn factious. And suddenly, not even our biggest accomplishments as a nation are worth setting aside our differences and celebrating together.

Political Manipulation of Students in Public Elementary Schools
- By Mike Scruggs
A few days ago, the American Legion here distributed American flags to every student in public elementary schools in the county.
It went very well in every school but one. That school was one of several with a high percentage of minority students. But in that one school only, the black students, about half the total, refused to take the flags.
Who stirred up and manipulated these children to support a political statement so inappropriate and ungrateful and which deprecated their country, its veterans, and its people?

Few Road Projects Completed in First 20 Months of Gas-tax-hike Law
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
Less than 4% of the nearly $1 billion in road and bridge projects in South Carolina identified by the state Department of Transportation was completed in the first 20 months of the gas-tax-hike law, newly released DOT records show.
Lawmakers promised that the law, which raised the gas tax 12 cents per gallon over six years, and increased other vehicle taxes and fees, would go toward fixing the state’s crumbling roads and bridges where their constituents live and work.

GOP Revival Underway With Big Win in Wisconsin
- By GOP Presidential
Wisconsin voters on Tuesday delivered a stinging defeat to Democrats hoping to hold a seat on the state Supreme Court — and a hint that a sleeping Republican base is beginning to wake up just in time for the 2020 presidential election.
Just weeks ago, Democrats believed their preferred candidate, Judge Lisa Neubauer, was the heavy favorite. Her opponent, Judge Brian Hagedorn, a conservative former aide to ex-Gov. Scott Walker (R), spent nearly the entire race defending himself from attacks over blog posts he wrote that laid out controversial views of gay rights and public religion.

Victories for Life
- By Eagle Forum
Last year, the Health and Human Services Department (HHS) reviewed their Title X rules and tightened up their grant rules to comply with federal law. They determined that Title X recipients could not reside with abortion facilities. Federal law bans any federal money from funding abortions, so separating the two clarifies where the money is actually going. In addition, HHS highlighted a federal law requiring Title X recipients to report abuse incidents, encourages families to be involved in family planning decisions, and no longer forces pregnancy centers to refer for abortions.

Trump Campaign releases “Crisis at the Border” Video
- By Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.
Arlington, VA – President Trump’s re-election campaign today released a video highlighting the undeniable crisis at the southern border. The video features 2020 Democrats flippantly dismissing the situation, as well as prominent Obama era experts and media figures admitting that there is indeed a crisis. The video closes with a call for Democrats in Congress to work with President Trump to address the problem.
“Democrats refuse to admit there is a crisis along our southern border and are even actively campaigning on an open borders platform,” said Trump campaign National Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. “President Trump has been an unmistakable leader on the issue of illegal immigration since before he took office and will not rest until our border is secured.”
