Eagles’ Wings Spearheads Historic Israel Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill
- Details
- By Eagles’ Wings

WASHINGTON -- Eagles’ Wings and its advocacy arm, the Israel Christian Nexus, led by Bishop Robert Stearns, launched Israel Advocacy Day this week in the nation’s capital. Held in partnership with the American Christian Leaders for Israel (ACLI) and led by Dr. Susan Michael, Director of the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem USA, the summit continues a growing movement of strategic interfaith gatherings on behalf of the Jewish people and the state of Israel.
From May 5–7, over 300 rabbis, pastors, and civic leaders convened to demonstrate their unified support for Israel and to forge deeper relationships among their communities as they advocate for robust U.S. policy in support of the Jewish state.
The 'N' in SNAP Means Nutrition

SNAP, or Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, also known as food stamps, is one of the nation's largest welfare programs.
And, like all welfare programs, it is massive, it has grown prodigiously over the years and it is inefficient.
One glaring issue, which is gaining attention as a result of new Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s Make America Healthy Again campaign, is the kinds of foods that recipients of SNAP funds can purchase.

The good news is that the Legislature has adjourned so your wallets are safe until January. The bad news is that we’ve adjourned with a lot more work to do.
The 1st year of our 2 year session has expired as of Thursday at 5 PM. While we will send a full breakdown of what did and didn’t happen this Session (that will come at a later date), we thought it would be prudent to focus this communication entirely on the last week of Session.

Argues for Trump to Cancel Potentially Fatal Trip Behind “Enemy Lines”
WASHINGTON -- In a policy paper released today as U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff conducts yet-another round of negotiations with Iranian representatives putatively aimed at eliminating their nuclear weapons program, the Victory Coalition urged President Trump to pursue a different – and far more realistic – path toward that goal.
Instead of the present approach, which legitimizes the regime in Tehran and buys it time, the Coalition calls for American support for Israeli military action designed to degrade the Iranian Revolution Guard Corps that secures the mullahocracy – creating the opportunity for the people of Iran to liberate themselves and end the threat posed by Iran’s government that brutally represses them and threatens the rest of us.

I will not stand by and allow someone to lie about, not only me, but the dedicated men and women in my office who’ve been in the trenches protecting kids for years. A would-be candidate for Governor is attacking me, prosecutors, and our law enforcement partners who put their life on the line to protect children and catch predators. Enough is enough.
Over the course of the last several weeks, this would-be candidate has peddled lies and mistruths for her own political ambitions and clicks on social media.
Specifically, she has brought up a handful of cases from the last decade related to offenders that obtained illegal images of children. Let me be clear, our ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) division has worked to get these criminals before a judge and hold them accountable. Our objective is to indict, prosecute, and get them added to the Sex Offender Registry.
Hidden Costs: How State Agencies Quietly Spend Above Their Budgets
- Details
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve

The adopted state budget for the current fiscal year that ends June 30 totaled more than $42 billion, though a low-key state office quietly approved an additional $858 million in collective “other” or federal fund spending requests after the fiscal year started, records show.
And since the beginning of fiscal year 2024 through mid-March of this fiscal year, approved mid-year spending increases of other or federal funds have totaled nearly $1.6 billion, according to records recently provided to The Nerve by the S.C. Department of Administration under the state Freedom of Information Act.
The fiscal year starts July 1 and runs through June 30 of the following year.
Nigel Farage’s Reform Party Surges in English Local Elections

Labour and Tory “Conservatives” Crushed Counter-Indicative for Ukraine War Support

Of the 23 local English Council elections held on May 1, Nigel Farage’s Reform Party gained majority control of 10 Councils, along with two mayors and a seat in Parliament, bringing their number of MPs to five. Nigel Farage was the leader of the Brexit Referendum that got the UK out of the European Union. Farage and his Reform Party are traditional conservatives. The British “Conservative” or Tory Party has for decades become too liberal and too globalist to merit the description of “conservative.” The Reform Party gain in elected Council Members in the 23 local Council elections went from zero to 677. This matches closely the “Conservative” loss of 676 seats in the election. In fact, the “Conservatives” lost their majorities in all of the 15 Councils they previously held.
Nullification and Secession – Are They The Same? (No – They Are Not The Same!)

WHY DON’T OUR SORRY POLITICIANS OBEY OUR CONSTITUTION?

There’s a lot of confusion in the world of politics and purposeful misinformation regarding the meanings of the words: NULLIFICATION and SECESSION. Talking heads on TV, radio, and in the cyber realm love to assure us that the words mean essentially the same thing, and are “dangerous concepts” that must be avoided if free nations are to survive. If you believe that, I’ve got a beautiful, “slightly used” bridge presently located in Brooklyn, N.Y. that I’ll sell you real cheap. Yeah, I really will!

Situated on the outskirts of Sacramento is California's largest master-planned community, McClellan Park. It has homes, offices, restaurants, a hotel and even a 2-mile-long runway that serves jets. But 30 years ago, the location was a starkly different story: an Air Force base that had just been shuttered, costing 11,600 jobs.
Fundamental to this remarkable transformation was a federal program that incentivizes investment -- and stimulates job creation -- throughout the United States. That program, the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program, still exists today. And amid uncertainty across the economy and in the financial markets, Republicans and Democrats alike should come together to support the program's expansion.

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore, hear a word from My mouth and give them warning from Me” (Ezekiel 3:17). The role of a watchman is to warn and teach.
“If the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes someone’s life, I will hold the watchman accountable for their blood” (Ezekiel 33:6).
Comfortably numb! The church at-large across this nation God ordained to be unlike any other nation, blessed beyond measure and with a clear assignment to preserve and proclaim the Gospel of Christ across the globe has become comfortably numb. Empowered like no other nation, blessed almost beyond measure, strong to defend the weak, quick to give aid and comfort in times of need; America has become comfortably numb to what our Forefathers established under God’s direction. Many across our land have become blind, unable to see the glorious gospel in all of its’ majesty and wonder. Few are those who walk in fear (respect) and knowledge of the power, the force, the authority and majesty of Elohim (God – He is the only supreme and true God; Genesis 1:1; Numbers 23:19; Psalm 19:1).
It's Time to Put Earth Day to Bed and Get on Taking Care of God's Creations

Earth Day popped up its dizzy head again this year. I was silly thinking that, because the whole Earth Day/Climate Change/Global Warming fraud had been exposed so well over the past decade or so, that we would celebrate farmers, ranchers, coal workers, homesteaders, and all the rest of those working to keep God’s green earth truly green and thriving.
Then I got this email from Grist Magazine:
Every year, Earth Day reminds us why telling the full climate story matters.
This isn’t just a day to celebrate the beauty of the natural world — it’s a moment to reckon with how much is at stake. This year, we’re facing intensifying wildfires, historic droughts, and worrying rollbacks to key climate protections.

Intelligent design tends to be overly simplified in what discussions you see in scientific circles. It is frequently derided as a God of the gaps argument despite the fact that it is much more than such a simple argument. The argument can be made that evolutionists are actually making a naturalism of the gaps argument. There are many secrets to intelligent design that are not found in most presentations about it, because the person doing the presentation doesn't want to give it any credibility and in fact is trying to do the exact opposite. Let us look at several secrets of intelligent design that you frequently do not get.

WASHINGTON — The Justice Department today announced it has opened a civil rights investigation into the development and passage of Washington State Senate Bill 5375, signed into law on May 2, 2025, by Governor Bob Ferguson, which appears on its face to violate the First Amendment.
Washington State’s new law adds “members of the clergy” to a list of other professionals who are required to report information received in a confessional setting relating to child abuse or neglect to law enforcement or other state authorities, with no exception for the absolute seal of confidentiality that applies to Catholic Priests.

I am grateful for the House leadership’s decision today to choose the people's business over political theatre. I feel sure that South Carolinians are thankful that they are the first priority, and political games are not.
I am ready to turn my focus back to doing the people’s work – to stabilize our state’s financial system and put this unfortunate chapter of fighting baseless claims by a few politically-motivated senators behind us.
Let me be clear: there is no missing money, no mysterious bank account, absolutely no evidence of fraud, and every dollar is properly accounted for. Furthermore, the two independent auditors that reviewed this issue confirmed what I’ve said all along – this was a reporting error, not a financial loss.

Resource Designed for Faith-Based Groups Offers Hope and Healing for Those Grieving Suicide Loss
NEWARK, Del. -- The Christian Association for Survivors of Suicide Loss (CASSL), a 501(c)3 nonprofit, announces the much-anticipated release of the second edition of its acclaimed resource, Moving Forward: A Christian Study for Survivors of Suicide Loss. This updated study is designed for use in small groups or personal study.
Suicide remains a global and national concern. Each year, approximately 720,000 people die by suicide worldwide. In the United States, suicide rates have reached record highs, with 49,000 deaths in 2023 alone. For every suicide, it is estimated that at least 135 people are left behind to grapple with complex grief and trauma, suggesting that over 6.6 million loss survivors are created annually in the United States alone. These survivors are often overwhelmed with feelings of shock, guilt, and isolation, and are themselves at higher risk for suicide. Faith-based support can play a pivotal role in the offering comfort, understanding, and hope in community.

Safe, Clean, Cheap, Efficient, and Almost Unlimited Nuclear Power

According to Henry Tillman, CEO of Aiyana Advisory and Research, interviewed by Norwegian political science Professor Glenn Diesen on April 23, China is ten years ahead of the rest of the world in the revolutionary development of thorium as nuclear fuel. China has just made history by activating the world’s first thorium-fueled commercial nuclear reactor in its Manchurian Gobi Desert. According to Engineerine.com, this is a major breakthrough in producing safe, sustainable, and efficient nuclear energy—25 times more efficient according to Tillman. Unlike conventional uranium reactors, this thorium molten salt reactor (MSR) is meltdown-proof and produces minimal long-lived radioactive waste. Thorium is much more abundant than uranium and much safer than uranium. Moreover, it is very clean-burning (98%) and much superior to fossil fuels and uranium-based nuclear fuel in its minimal environmental impact. The Chinese claim Thorium nuclear power will give them 60,000 years of sustainable cheap energy.
Waste and Fraud Unmasked by DOGE Sparks Question - Why Didn’t Congress Find It First?

So much waste, fraud, and inefficiency in federal spending have been exposed since President Donald Trump re-entered the Oval Office three months ago that it raises the question: why didn’t Congress shine the light on such outrages long before Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) came along?
Americans for Limited Government (ALG) President Rick Manning, for example, put it well recently, asking congressional watchdogs what they “have been doing over the past 20 years? Where was their spending oversight? Why have they not forced these systems to be opened up for public review so they could dig deep into the spending on authorized programs to determine whether they are being administered properly, and that the taxpayer has been getting their [money’s] worth?”
Travelers Rest Planning Commission Recommends Denial for Inn at Altamont
- Details
- By Benton Blount - Chairman of Greenville County Council
This week, the Travelers Rest Planning Commission took a major step regarding the proposed Inn at Altamont — a controversial 150-room luxury hotel project on Paris Mountain.
After a packed public hearing where dozens of citizens spoke out in opposition, the Planning Commission voted 5-1 to recommend denial of the annexation request needed for the hotel to move forward.
Here’s what happened:
- Residents raised serious concerns about the project’s impact on traffic safety, water runoff, sewer infrastructure, and environmental preservation.
- Six major conservation groups — including Upstate Forever, Friends of the Reedy River, Naturaland Trust, and Save Our Saluda — also formally opposed the development.
- Only two citizens spoke in favor, citing potential economic benefits.
- Despite the city’s planning staff recommending approval based on technical consistency with the city’s comprehensive plan, commissioners said the overwhelming public outcry could not be ignored.

I’ve long been an advocate of maintaining an INDIVIDUAL’S right to keep and bear arms to defend one’s self or one’s family, or one’s property, a God-given “right” codified in our Second Amendment to our Federal Constitution, which is usually attacked by liberals, timid know-nothings who believe that even discussing firearms might prove fatal, Dumbocrats, Demoncrats, whacky “moon bats”, firearms haters, freedom despising socialist “progressives”, despicable Marxists, and mentally confused and poorly educated morons who love to parrot the left wing line that our Second Amendment is NOT an individual right, as are ALL other rights enumerated in the Bill of Rights, but applies only to the “collective right” of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms aspart of a State militia. This is totalBalderdash! I’ve long supported Gun Owners of America, an organization that many 2nd Amendment upholders believe has been more effective than the National RifleAssociation. If those facts make me “persona non grata” in your mind, perhaps it is you who need to vacuum out some of the inaccuracies therein and begin reloading it with TRUTH!

Pope Francis has passed away—and the world mourns.
Prime ministers, Presidents, Kings and Queens were quick to send their condolences to the Vatican and the over 2 billion Catholics who called him their pastor and Vicar of Christ on earth.
But Francis’ legacy is a very difficult one; a legacy that many see him as a trailblazer for progressive causes and the poor, while others bewail what they saw as a Pope with heterodox theological standards.
The real issue for faithful Catholics is: did this Pope represent the Christian faith accurately to the world at large.
