GFA World Helps Families 'Sew Their Way Out of Poverty'
- By GFA World

WILLS POINT, Texas -- A new three-month campaign aims to help some of the poorest families in Africa and Asia "sew their way out of poverty" -- one stitch at a time.
Texas-based mission GFA World's "Sewing Their Way Out of Poverty" campaign aims to provide 500 new sewing machines and vocational training for 500 desperately poor families struggling to survive day-to-day.
"Countless people trapped in grinding poverty literally live from hand to mouth," said GFA World founder K.P. Yohannan, also known as Metropolitan Yohan. "It breaks my heart each time I see an ocean of slum dwellings in major cities, or when I watch children digging in garbage heaps for food scraps."
Surprise: Debt Conversation Brings More Pointless 'Tax-the-Rich' Talk
- By Veronique de Rugy
Whenever we have a national conversation about government debt, Democrats invariably respond that spending is not the reason the debt is now nearly equal to our national GDP. The real cause of our indebtedness, they inform us, is that taxes aren't high enough and the rich don't pay their fair share. From increasing the marginal tax rate to more than 70% for higher-income earners, to taxing 100% of income above $1 billion, to the president's recent debt-ceiling plan, Democrats overflow with ideas about how to tax us more.
Church Giving Down Again in 2020: Potential Remains Great: empty tomb's New The State of Church Giving through 2020, A Theology for an Age of Affluence
- By Christian Newswire
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- Church member giving as a percent of income was down again in 2020, according empty tomb's new edition, The State of Church Giving through 2020. What's needed to reverse the trend is summed up in the subtitle: A Theology for an Age of Affluence.
The data presented in the 32nd edition of the series shows that the downward trend in giving extends back to 1968.
Yet, according to the study's authors, the potential for church members to increase giving is great. And they write that a broad vision can serve as a positive agenda for the affluence that has been spreading in the U.S. since about 1820.

24 Notes that Always Cause Us to Weep – The Story of “TAPS,” the Famous Bugle Call
What American in our time has not watched on TV or personally witnessed a military funeral for an honored countryman or woman who served his or her nation in some far off conflict, and who long ago or just recently “went home” to rest with his or her comrades? I find it hard to witness that solemn event, especially as “Taps” is played over the grave, without tears coming into my eyes. While I never had a relative or friend who was given this final honor in death, I know that many of you have had such. It is for you, and in memory of your loved one/s, and in honor of ALL of our military, both living and dead, from the first fallen warriors on the immortal Green of Lexington, Massachusetts who sacrificed their lives on April 19, 1775, to those who gave their lives just recently in the contentious, the senseless, and seemingly unending wars in Afghanistan and in the Middle East, that I write this tribute.

Great Way to Celebrate South Carolina's 235th Birthday by Supporting the Unborn
Even Though It Is Not Perfect, It Is A Start And Will Save Lives
The long and fought for S.474 called the "Fetal Heartbeat and Protection from Abortion Act" has passed the South Carolina Senate by a vote of 27-19.
McMaster announced on Twitter after the vote that he is looking forward to "signing this bill into law as soon as possible."
This bill will ban most abortions after detecting early cardiac activity in the unborn child. This can be as early as six weeks. If any physician in South Carolina violates this law, they would have their license revoked in the state. They could even face felony charges, fines, and jail time.
EXCLUSIVE: Biden Admin Tells Adults How to Discuss Sex with Teens Behind Parents' Backs
- By Ben Johnson - The Washington Stand
As part of its month-long focus on adolescent health, the Biden administration is promoting a document that tells Planned Parenthood and other taxpayer-funded family planning offices how to talk to minors about sex without their parents overhearing, and how to secretly deliver birth control to adolescents without parental knowledge or consent.
Federally-funded guidelines instruct adults to pause before discussing sex with minors and to ask, “Are you alone in the room?” These instructions specify tactics to follow “if you’re really having a hard time getting a parent” to leave the room during the sex talk. They suggest children as young as 13 discuss sex with groups like Planned Parenthood in a parked car or communicate in writing, so their parents cannot hear the adults’ side of the conversation. And they encourage offices to have vans roam neighborhoods giving minors federally funded contraceptives; to mail birth control to adolescents in “plain, unmarked packaging;” and/or to have teenagers receive contraceptives at public meet-up places.
NGU Baseball To Host Southeast Super Regional This Weekend in Tigerville
- By Billy Cannada - NGU
North Greenville University (NGU) has hosted two NCAA Division II baseball Super Regionals since 2019, and the No. 1 ranked defending national champions will do it again this weekend in Tigerville.
NGU punched its ticket to the Southeast Super Regional with back-to-back wins (11-5, 9-2) over Mount Olive last weekend at Ray and Bea Dillard Field at Ashmore Park.
“This team has already accomplished so much,” said Head Coach Landon Powell. “They were ranked No. 1 in the country during the preseason, and they stayed No. 1 all year long. We have a body of work that’s impressive, and hopefully they can keep that confidence and remember who they’ve been all year long during the Super Regional.”
Welfare Work Requirements Make Everyone Better Off
- By Star Parker
The Congressional Budget Office has just released its latest projection for the next ten years.
"In the agency's updated projections, annual deficits nearly double over the next decade, reaching $2.7 trillion in 2033 ... As a result of those deficits, debt held by the public also increases in CBO's projections, from 98% of GDP at the end of this year to 119% at the end of 2033."
The picture keeps getting worse.
The difference between Democrats and Republicans on the issue: Republicans say let's do something; Democrats say let's do nothing.
Filipino Priest Arrested for Upholding Church Teaching

MANILLA, Philippines -- A Filipino priest who defended the Church's findings regarding the non-supernatural status of the alleged apparitions of Our Lady in Lipa City has been arrested and charged with offending the religious feelings of a former government official.
Harriet Demetriou, a devotee of the Lipa apparitions and former chief of the Commission on Elections, filed a complaint against Father Winston Cabading, OP, an exorcist for the Archdiocese of Manila and instructor at the University of Santo Tomas, for statements he made during a Facebook program.

Appeals Court Returns Counterfeit Ballot Case to Lower Court; VoterGA Seeks Recusal to Prevent Obstruction of Ballot Inspection
- By VoterGA
ATLANTA -- On December 20, 2022, VoterGA Petitioners in a counterfeit ballot case won a confirmation of standing from the Georgia Supreme Court which forced the Court of Appeals to remand their case back to Superior Court where Petitioners could open discovery and proceed with the inspection of 2020 Fulton County mail-in ballots. Today, Petitioners, who expected Judge Brian Amero to resume the case, announced a motion to recuse newly assigned Judge Robert McBurney for bias.
The inspection was delayed for over two years after Judge Brian Amero's false ruling that Petitioners had no standing. Once Amero's ruling was overturned, he transferred the case to McBurney who accepted it in a surprise move that Petitioners claim will obstruct an inspection.
Winning with the Republican Label is No More Meaningful than Winning with Any Other Label

McKissick Approved to Serve Fourth Term as SC GOP Chairman
- By Terry M. Thacker, Times Examiner Reporter

Three-term South Carolina Republican Party Chairman Drew McKissick was narrowly reelected on the first ballot this past Saturday to serve a fourth term at the helm of a party experiencing great division.
The party's bi-annual convention was held in the gymnasium of River Bluff High School in Lexington. Over 1,000 delegates and alternates from across the state filled the huge gym. Delegates and alternates had already been chosen at the various county GOP conventions, which were held in the several weeks prior to Saturday's convention.
The attendees were given an hour and a half during which to check in. A few minutes before the commencement of the meeting, some alternates gathered at their county check-in tables to find out if they would be promoted to delegate status. If a person selected to serve as a delegate does not show up at the beginning of the convention, an alternate gets to take his or her place.
Biden's Abortion Obsession Could Crater Space Command's HQ
- By Tony Perkins - The Washington Stand
“Does not compute.” That catchphrase from the 1960s show “Lost in Space” certainly captures the Biden administration’s decision-making of late. After a years-long process to find the perfect spot for America’s Space Command, the most radical president in history seems to be hanging his final choice on a completely unrelated policy: abortion. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that the two issues have nothing to do with each other — unless you’re a part of the new Left-driven Democratic Party, where social extremism eclipses everything.

What's the Matter With Texas Republicans When It Comes to School Choice Legislation?
- By Stephen Moore
This has been the year for school choice all over the country. At least six additional states joined Arizona and Florida to give parents the funds to send their children to private and charter schools.
Surprisingly, deep-red Texas is not among these states -- at least not yet. Currently, there is no school choice in the Lone Star State for low-income parents. Gov. Greg Abbott and a broad coalition of parent groups are pushing for the state House to clear a historic education savings account bill that has already passed the state Senate.

The Amazing Survival of Russian Christianity

Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow was Consecrated in 2000.
As early as 867 AD, there were probably Christian missions and churches in the Kievan-Rus State, the predecessor of the Russian Empire. We know that the Kievan-Rus had considerable contact with Byzantine Christians in Constantinople. Vladimir the Great (958-1015) was raised as a pagan, but his grandmother, Olga, was a Christian and had considerable influence on her grandson. After much study and negotiation, Vladimir became a Christian. Many of his subjects were already enthusiastic Christians, when he became the Ruling Prince of the Kievan-Rus in 980 and called all his subjects to baptism in the Dnieper River. This 980 date is generally considered the formal beginning of Christianity in Russia.
'Let the Kids Be Kids': DeSantis Signs 5 Bills Rejecting Trans Ideology, Protecting Conscience
- By Joshua Arnold - The Washington Stand
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) signed five bills protecting women and children from the harmful implications of transgender ideology on Wednesday at Cambridge Christian School in Hillsborough County, most notably one that “will permanent outlaw the mutilation of minors,” said DeSantis. Florida will “remain a refuge of sanity and a citadel of normalcy,” DeSantis insisted, “and kids should have an upbringing that reflects that.”
Florida Senate Bill 254 prohibits “the prescription or administration” of puberty blockers, hormones, or “any medical procedure, including a surgical procedure, to affirm a person’s perception of his or her sex if that perception is inconsistent with the person’s sex,” biologically defined as “the classification of a person as either male or female based on the organization of the human body of such person for a specific reproductive role, as indicated by the person’s sex chromosomes, naturally occurring sex hormones, and internal and external genitalia present at birth.”
Danger: We Must Refuse To Move The Stones
- By W.H. Lamb

In ancient Egypt there developed, over the centuries, the practice of marking property boundaries with piles of stones. This became especially useful to the peasant farmers whose land was flooded every year by the Nile River. While the flood deposited much needed new and rich silt, it often took away any non-permanent boundary markers. Over time the Egyptians, and other ancients, developed the practice of identifying their property lines using piles of heavy stones, not easily moved by the flooding river or by rascally neighbors. So important did these boundary stones become that it was a serious violation of Egyptian, and later, Mosaic, law to move the stones to try to steal the property belonging to someone else.

Eagle Forum Invites Celebrity Chef José Andrés to Sign Petition to “Save Our Stoves”
- By Kris Ullman - Eagle Forum
Andrés get exemption from Palo Alto, CA gas stove ban
Upon hearing the news reports that celebrity chef José Andrés has been given a ‘one-off’ exemption from the city’s new ban on gas stoves, Eagle Forum invites Andrés to sign their petition to oppose any federal ban on the use of gas stoves and other appliances.
“As someone who loves to cook, I understand the benefits of cooking with gas,” said Eagle Forum Chair Anne Schlafly. “José Andrés was forced to threaten a lawsuit against the city of Palo Alto if they refused to allow him to open his latest restaurant equipped with gas lines. The city caved and gave him an exemption. Great for him, but what about all the other chefs, professional and amateur alike, who will be forced to give up the appliance of their choice because of gas stove bans in Palo Alto and nearly a hundred other cities and counties in the United States? I encourage Chef Andrés to join thousands of Americans in signing our petition to Save Our Stoves.”
Favorable Ruling from California in Abortion Discrimination Case
- By Life Legal Defense Foundation
NAPA, Calif. -- A California judge ruled last week in favor of Life Legal in a case involving our challenge to a law that prohibits all out-of-pocket expenses for medical services related to abortion. Our challenge is based on two claims:
- Equal Protection: The law (SB 245) is unconstitutional because it does not treat people in similar circumstances (i.e., pregnant women) equally. The law clearly discriminates against women who choose childbirth, and in favor of those who choose to abort.
- Right to Privacy: The law intrudes on the state constitutional right to make certain choices free from government intrusion. It does so by providing financial incentives to women to abort their children.
California's Attorney General claims that the government has a legitimate interest in making sure women "are able to exercise their constitutional right to abortion" and argues that costs like insurance co-payments "interfere with access to the right."
Stop Biden's Mass-Migration Surge
- By The John Birch Society
The Biden administration has ended its use of Title 42 of the Public Health Service Act of 1944, which expedited the expulsion of illegal aliens from the United States. Now, with the administration’s open-border policies set to become even weaker and more subversive, illegal migration is surging to new heights, even by Biden administration standards. Border communities such as El Paso, Texas, have declared states of emergency.
Despite this, the Biden administration is doubling down on its globalist, anti-American migration policies. Biden has threatened to veto a Republican border-security bill, and the administration continues to release hundreds of thousands of migrants into the United States.
Release the Manifesto
- By Josh Hammer
On March 27, a transgender lunatic named Audrey Hale shot up a private Christian elementary school in Nashville, Tennessee. The shooter, who tragically killed three adults and three children before being neutralized by well-trained Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officers, was a 28-year-old biological female who had "transitioned" to a public-facing male "gender identity." Nashville police also confirmed that the shooter once attended the school herself.
Based simply on those established facts, one might offer a reasonable educated guess as to the likely motive of this horrific school shooting: a one-time Christian seems to have spurned the faith of her upbringing, adopted a vogue new worldview that is in irreconcilable tension with Christianity, and lashed out in one final kamikaze act to vindicate her new paganism and vanquish the foes of her youth.

What is 'Common Good Capitalism,' and Why Are Some Conservatives So Enamored?
- By Veronique de Rugy
"Common-good capitalism" is all the rage these days with national conservatives. But what exactly is it, you may ask? That's a good question. As far as I can tell, it's a lovely sounding name for imposing one's preferred economic and social policies on Americans while pretending to be "improving" capitalism. If common-good capitalism's criticisms of the free-market and prescriptions for its improvement were ice cream, it would be identical in all but its serving container to what much of the Left has been dishing up for decades.
The Unintended Good of Biden Rule
- By Winston McCuen
History is full of ironies and unexpected outcomes. The woke globalists running the Biden regime — quite unintentionally — are destroying the Yankee empire born in 1865 -the same power structure they captured by election theft in 2020 and 2022 to forward their agenda. So evil, by its nature, tends to self-division and self-defeat, since it derives its enabling power parasitically from admixed elements of good. And the good in this case are the tens of millions of disfranchised, powerless and hapless Americans who work hard and love America.
Christian Group Calls for the Immediate Release of The Covenant School Shooter's Manifesto and Writings
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON -- Rev. Patrick Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, says it is critical to know if The Covenant School shooter was targeting Christians or the church community.
The shooter, Audrey Hale, left detailed writings and journals about the mass shooting which would clearly offer insight into the motivation and thoughts on why these Christian school children and staff were targeted.
It is deeply concerning the FBI and law enforcement officials are refusing to release these documents to the public. This refusal is creating more questions and mistrust among the Christian community regarding the government's commitment to determine if this shooting was a "hate crime" directed against people of faith.
