Can Trump Stop the Invasion?
- By Pat Buchanan
In its lede editorial Wednesday, The New York Times called upon Congress to amend the National Emergency Act to "erect a wall against any President, not just Mr. Trump, who insists on creating emergencies where none exist."
Trump "took advantage" of a "loophole" in the NEA, said The Times, to declare "a crisis at the border, contrary to all evidence."
The Times news desk, however, apparently failed to alert the editorial page on what the top story would be that day.
Tear Down Those Monuments
- By Ray Simmons
I understand quoting Scripture is anathema these days, nevertheless I deem it very appropriate in many instances. For several years I have been getting the Hillsdale College publication “Imprimis”. I have just been reading the most recent issue (February 2019) titled “Shall We Defend Our Common History?” It is a scathing attack against the current, politically correct assault on many, many historical monuments representing various segments of actual historic eras and events that some minority groups find offensive. The author(Roger Kimball) calls this “…an attack on the past for failing to live up to our contemporary notions of virtue…that we, blessed members of the most enlightened cohort ever to grace the earth with its presence, occupy a moral plane superior to all who came before us.” In other words we are the smartest people to ever live and we can alter history to prove our point. Mr. Kimball goes on to offer much support for his commentary.

President Trump's Bad Week
- By Judge Andrew Napolitano
In an ideal world, the president of the United States would succeed in negotiating a nuclear arms treaty with a foreign government -- and do so with full congressional support; his lawyer would respect the attorney-client privilege and not reveal confidences publicly; Congress would abide the old adage that politics ends where the water's edge begins and lie low when the president is overseas on a delicate mission; the president would not engage in a grievous constitutional overreach that provokes a congressional negation; no one in his administration would have a top-secret security clearance who failed to be truthful to the law enforcement and intelligence folks investigating him; and the president would not fear RICO.
Let the Games Begin: Transgenderism Poised to Ruin the Olympics
- By Erick Erickson - The Resurgent

For those who have thought that it will take an outrage of global proportions to restore sanity to this spectacle of “feelings-over-science” that is transgenderism, I can’t help but think we are on the cusp of that very moment.
Last week I wrote about how it was beginning to dawn on an increasing number of gay and lesbian activists that the doctrine of transgenderism completely undermines their own. If gender is a fluid, social construct with no binding social or cultural value, then the premise behind homosexuality is obliterated.
HRC Story Time Leaves a Plot to Be Desired
- By Tony Perkins
It looked like your typical reading class. Dozens of kindergarten students sat cross-legged on the floor watching their teacher turn to the first page. It didn't take long for the five-year-olds to realize: this was no ordinary children's book. "I have a girl brain but a boy body," Miss McBride started. "This is called transgender. I was born this way."

Sacrificing Freedom to Vaccination
- By Dr. Jane M. Orient
According to the Oath of Hippocrates, physicians have the duty to advise their patients according to the best of their ability and judgment. In In most cases, most physicians recommend vaccination, believing that for a particular patient, the benefit exceeds the risk. Patients or their parents, however, have the right to decline to follow their doctor’s advice.
But with vaccination, government restricts this right. Every time there is a measles outbreak somewhere there is an outcry to restrict vaccine exemptions, to protect the public—and, just coincidentally, vaccine manufacturers.
Vaccine Skeptics Under Siege
- By Michelle Malkin
Watch out. Capitol Hill and Silicon Valley have locked their sights on the next targets of a frightening free speech-squelching purge: independent citizens who dare to raise questions online about the safety and efficacy of vaccines.
I'm vaccinated. My children are up to date. There's no dispute that vaccines have saved untold lives. But over the years, I've voiced my concerns about vaccine claims and government coercion in my newspaper columns and blog posts. These concerns include my objections to Gardasil mandates for schoolchildren in Texas and California; schools' threatening parents with jail time for refusing chickenpox shots for their kids; ineffectiveness of the flu vaccine; contamination issues at vaccine plants abroad; lack of data on vaccines' long-term and synergistic effects on children; and pharma-funded politicians' financial conflicts of interest.

The report, entitled "Rescuing Our Children," dedicates the entire February 4, 2019 issue to highlighting the key factors that turned America's public education system into what the authors describe as an indoctrination program that dumbs down children and threatens the Republic.

The Poisonous Fruits of Socialism
- By Mike Scruggs
A Brief Global Survey of Economic Good and Misery
“Socialism is the philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy.”—Winston Churchill
Churchill had rightly pointed out earlier in his pithy way that “The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of misery.” It is not just totalitarian communism that doesn’t work. Whenever democracies turn their countries over to demagogues who promise prosperity based on redistribution of property, wealth, and earning power to appeal to the envy and covetousness of ignorant or misinformed voters, calamity and poverty inevitably follow.
Our Planet Is Not Fragile
- By Walter Williams
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims that "the world is going to end in 12 years if we don't address climate change." The people at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change agree, saying that to avoid some of the most devastating impacts of climate change, the world must slash carbon emissions by 45 percent by 2030 and completely decarbonize by 2050.
Who’s Who On The Political Spectrum
- By W.H. Lamb
Confusion reigns supreme in the puzzling and sometimes rancorous discussions of who or what is a “right winger” and a “left winger” in the realm of modern and often rancorous and deliberately misleading American political debate. Most of us have been programmed for decades by the liberal “main stream” (left wing) media (most newspapers, all TV network news, talking “heads” on most cable news shows, etc.) to accept their incorrect descriptions that communists and socialists are “left wing”, and fascists and Nazis and white supremacists are “right wing”. Americans are often dismayed when they discover that what they’ve been told is truth by those they trusted is a deliberate semantic deception, and an outright LIE!
Don’t be Defined by What You’re Against
- By Ben Graydon
Don’t be defined by what you’re AGAINST but by what you’re FOR.
Sometimes the contrast is so stark, it’s hard not to see the negative first. And sometimes those who oppose highlight the negative to paint us with a bad, anti-social brush.
Trump’s wall, for example, is being painted as anti-family and un-American when it is reasonably understood as a needed protection for those who lawfully reside on this side of it.
Green New Deal Reveals the Naked Truth of Agenda 21
- By Tom DeWeese
Sometimes if you fight hard enough and refuse to back down, no matter the odds, your truth is vindicated and prevails!
For twenty years I have been labeled a conspiracy theorist, scaremonger, extremist, dangerous, nut case. I’ve been denied access to stages, major news programs, and awarded tin foil hats. All because I have worked to expose Agenda 21 and its policy of sustainable development as a danger to our property rights, economic system, and culture of freedom.

Just a Poem
- By Ray Simmons
I look around me and I see
A world unlike it used to be,
A world that shifts from up to down
Wherein the truth is rarely found.
And people do not understand
The troubles that beset our land.

Washington Post
- By Jim S. Brooks - Roebuck, SC
On January 19, 2019 the Washington Post published an on-line account of what was purported to be a straight forward news feature about a public disturbance that occurred at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, on January 18 involving High School students waiting on a bus to take them back to their Catholic High School in Covington Kentucky. It was not a news story! It was an intentional public political assassination of innocents by a newspaper with world wide reach! It was known deceptive propaganda, just like Jussie Smollet’s drama in Chicago! With the revered Lincoln Memorial as a back drop the Washington Post proceeded to fabricate their report! It was particularly directed at a white eleventh grader, Nicholas Sandman, wearing a red MAGA hat!
