Pursuing Peace—The Alaska Summit

Successful First Step in Building Trust
Transcripts of Putin and Trump Alaska Speeches
The Alaska Summit between US President Donald Trump and Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin far exceeded my expectations of the pursuit of peace. This was despite unwelcoming media coverage by such media as Fox News. Fox News Neocon coverage of the Alaska Summit reflected their abysmal ignorance of and mind-locked ideological bent against anything Russian and especially against Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has been Russia’s leader for 25 years.
The expectation of the Fox Neocons seemed to be that Trump would compel Putin to accept an unconditional cease-fire in Ukraine. That expectation was irrational for several reasons, but it reflects the Neocon proclivity to look at negotiation as successful bullying. But successful negotiations start with building trust, and the Alaska Summit was a tremendous success because it made an excellent start at building trust.
Sergei Rachmaninoff: The Soul of a Musical Master

- By W.H. Lamb

Despite having a long and public career as a classical music composer and an acclaimed musician who was called “the last great figure of the tradition of Russian Romanticism”, who was an orchestral conductor from time to time, and who was one of the greatest concert pianists of the 20th century, Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) was known to be an intensely private person. He was a man who loved his native Russia despite leaving it when Marxism obliterated its historic culture—a man who lived much of his life in Europe and the United States yet never fully learned the English language—a man who suffered severe depression in his early career to such an extent that he almost abandoned composing and performing classical music in his twenties—an apolitical man who despised Marxism when it overwhelmed his native Russia, forcing him to leave it forever in 1917, yet who contributed money to the Russian “Red” Army during World War 11. What a great loss to the world it would have been had the winds of political and economic turmoil and personal demons destroyed his “raison d’etre”—his reason for existing, which was to compose music “for the ages”.
Creationists or Evolutionists: Who Really Ignores Evidence?
- Details
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
Evolutionists frequently accuse creationists of ignoring evidence. There are two main reasons for this. The first is that most evolutionists are convinced by their education that all the evidence support the Big Bang to man evolutionary story. Consequently, the only explanation. for not agreeing with it, is that you are ignoring the evidence. Furthermore, they frequently confuse the interpretation of evidence for the evidence itself. The result of this perspective is that they conclude that rejecting the interpretation is the same as ignoring or even denying the evidence.
Political Storm Clouds in the Caucasus

Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan

The Caucasus is the mountainous region between the Black Sea on its west and the Caspian Sea on its east. The Caucasus Mountain range is generally considered the divide between Europe and Asia in the region. The Caucasus is bound on the north by the southwestern part of the Russian Federation, on the west by eastern Turkey, and the south by northern Iran. Its is not far from Ukraine which shares the northern Black Sea coast with the Russian Federation.
The independent Caucasus nations are generally considered to be Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan. However, nine governmental divisions of the Russian Federation are also considered part of the Caucasus. The most significant of these for this brief are Chechnya and North Ossetia-Alania.
It should be noted that Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are all former Soviet Socialist Republics, part of the Soviet Union until the breakup of the USSR in 1991.
Do Americans Really Want a “Civil War”? Forbid It, Almighty God! - Part 2

IS A “CIVIL WAR” ON OUR AMERICAN HORIZON? DO THOSE WHO CALL FOR ONE KNOW WHAT THEY ARE ASKING FOR? I THINK NOT!
Last time we discussed the several dictionary definitions of “civil war,” all of which agreed that it was an armed conflict between opposing groups of people living in the SAME country. Which to my mind means that our Glorious American Revolution was a true civil war, by definition; and that our so-called “Civil War” of 1861-1865 was not a true civil war, because it was fought between opposing groups from two separate and independent countries—the U.S. Union and the Confederate States of America.
We also began to quote from a summary of an excellent speech given by Daniel Greenfield at the South Carolina Tea Party Convention in January 2018. Following is the conclusion of Mr. Greenfield’s excellent but quite troubling thoughts:
Ukraine War Update 8-3-2025

Escalations on the Battlefield, in Propaganda, and Nuclear War Rhetoric

In a recent interview on the Ukraine War situation, Scott Ritter, a former Marine intelligence officer, formerly a Chief Weapons Inspector for the United Nations, and presently a highly knowledgeable expert on Russian military and foreign policy thinking, lamented that a major problem with US foreign policy on Russia is that few Americans have much accurate information about Russia. They are more likely to have considerable misinformation. This includes especially the background of the Ukraine War. In the case of Vladimir Putin, their knowledge consists mostly of carefully orchestrated demonization by the CIA, British MI6 intelligence, and Hillary Clinton. Ritter estimated that real understanding of the Ukraine War and Russia generally is limited to a single low digit percentage of American adults. Ritter’s remarks translate into approximating that only a little better than 4 percent of potential American voters are fully able to discern the realities of the Ukraine situation. This low number reflects the relentless blizzard of compliant US, British, and German media disinformation and propaganda misrepresenting the causes and facts of the war. Based on polls showing at least 30 percent of Republicans have significant reservations about continued US support for what is actually a costly and failing US proxy war against Russia, maybe 10-12 percent of the population is adequately informed

OUR NATION BARELY SURVIVED A BITTER ELECTION SEASON ENDING ON NOV. 5, 2024. MANY RECKLESS BIG MOUTHS AND PSEUDO THINKERS OF ALL POLITICAL PERSUASIONS ARE CONVINCED THAT ONLY “ANOTHER” CIVIL WAR CAN SALVAGE OUR DISINTEGRATING REPUBLIC. ARE THEY CORRECT? I HOPE NOT!
Before we get started pondering this troubling question, let’s define exactly what a “civil war” IS and IS NOT. Following are some pertinent and ACCURATE definitions:
- Webster’s Dictionary: A civil war is a war between opposing groups of citizens in the SAME country;
- Wikipedia: A civil war, also known as an ‘intrastate war’, is a war between organized groups within the SAME country;
- Collins English Dictionary: A civil war is a war which is fought between different groups of people who live in the SAME country.
