Dems Pave a Gavel Road to Court-Packing
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Now we've heard it all. Democrats, who were already the butt of jokes for calling childcare "infrastructure," have done us one better. According to House liberals, court-packing is too! In a tweet, Congressman Mondaire Jones, a New York liberal declared: "Supreme Court expansion is infrastructure." Like a lot of people, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) couldn't believe their eyes. "You just can't make this stuff up," she shook her head. And unfortunately, Democrats aren't. They're on the march to expand the court -- no matter what they call it.

D.C. Statehood A Play to Maintain Senate
- By Eagle Forum
It appears the Democrat majority in Congress will stop at almost nothing to ensure their majority remains a majority. Last Fall it was packing the Supreme Court and today, it is legislation to make D.C. (and other territories) a state.
With a population of about seven hundred thousand, it may seem logical that D.C. should become a state with representation in both the lower and upper chambers. In fact, it simply is not Constitutional to make it a state. Article I, Section 8, Clause 17 enables Congress to govern the District of Colombia. Our Founders envisioned the location of the Federal government to be an independent entity outside of another state. In doing so, the Founders sought to prevent D.C. from pressures and influence by one state government rather than another.

Tell Your Senators to Stop the For the People Act
- By Richard Harris, Executive Director, Truth & Liberty Coalition
Liberals in Congress are trying to ram through a bill that will destroy our ability to have fair elections. The so-called For the People Act (S 1, 2021) is probably one of the most dangerous pieces of legislation in American history.
Instead of the "For the People Act," it should be called the "One Party Takeover of American Government Act," or, as Sen. Ted Cruz put it, "The Corrupt Politicians Act."

Biden’s Bridges to Nowhere
- By Eagle Forum
Recently, President Biden rolled out his American Jobs Plan, also known as his infrastructure plan. However, there was one glaring thing missing: infrastructure. Instead, he focused on policies that allow the federal government to encroach on our lives, depress the economy, and make the job-creators pay for it.

Libs' Infrastructure: a Bridge to Nowhere
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
If arts funding is "COVID relief," then it's no surprise that child care is "infrastructure." In the Democrats' lexicon -- where abortion is "health care," election reform is "racism," and social justice is a "public works" project -- the fact that Joe Biden is trying to reimagine another word to fit his agenda is just par for their delusional course. The Left played this same trick on the American people in February, Cameron Hilditch warns, shoe-horning every radical priority under the sun into "coronavirus response." Politically, it's very "clever," he agrees. Practically, it shouldn't stand a chance.
