The Monuments Men: Trump Taps Cabinet to Guard History
- By Family Research Council
It's not easy to find a place to stash 1,600-pound statues. In Virginia, local reporters were shocked to find out that their toppled leaders had ended up at a Richmond wastewater treatment plant, covered in bright blue tarps. It was a fast trip for the soldiers, who went from lining Monument Row to sitting in dirt outside the local sewage works. Even now, no one is quite sure what to make of this marble morgue, except to wonder: who else will be next? According to the people around the president's table -- no one, if they can help it.

Ask the President to Stop the Outrageous Federal Spending
- By Eagle Forum
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has vowed to pass a fourth Coronavirus spending bill even if she has to cancel August recess to do so. This must be stopped.
The first three Coronavirus packages have added billions to the already $1.8 trillion deficit. Each bill was passed quickly, silencing the public’s input. This is the time to get ahead of another terrible bill.

Americanism vs. Marxism
- By U.S. Congressman Chip Roy (R-TX) - Eagle Forum Report
In the words of Rahm Emanuel who was President Obama’s chief of staff, “ Never allow a good crisis go to waste. It’s an opportunity to do the things you once thought were impossible.” Today, we are seeing Democrats at the local, state, and federal level heed that shocking advice.

Cancellation Nation: The Building Backlash

First it was pancake syrup and Paw Patrol. Now, even Scrabble isn't safe. You can forget the triple word score on at least 236 "slurs" the North American players association is stripping from the group's lexicon. The goal, these gamers say, is to make the game "friendlier" for all types of people. Of course, no one has seen the official list of "potentially offensive" words -- leaving many to wonder if this new vocabulary is just W-O-K-E.

Trump Administration Protects Girls in Title IX
- By Eagle Forum
In 2016 the Obama administration issued guidance protecting transgender students through Title IX. Specifically, this rule allowed transgender students to use restrooms and lockers rooms that did not match their biological sex, but rather the gender they chose. Not only did this force schools to affirm a child’s gender dysphoria, but it also posed as a privacy violation to both boys and girls.

SCOTUS Delivers Wins for Religious Liberty
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
Wednesday, the Supreme Court delivered two noteworthy victories for religious liberty. In Little Sisters of the Poor v. Pennsylvania, the court upheld a Trump administration policy protecting conscience and religious freedom in the context of the Affordable Care Act ("ACA"). In Our Lady of Guadalupe School v. Morrissey-Berru, the court robustly defined the First Amendment rights of religious schools and institutions to determine who will teach and defend the tenets of their faith.

SCOTUS Rules to Protect the First Amendment
- By Eagle Forum
It’s easy to get infuriated and disappointed by the state of affairs in Washington. But this week we are happy to bring you a bit of good news out of the Supreme Court.
In a victorious 7-2 decision in Little Sisters of the Poor Saints Peter and Paul Home v. Pennsylvania, the Court ruled that the Little Sisters are exempt from the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA) contraceptive mandate. The Little Sisters are an order of Roman Catholic religious sisters who serve the elderly poor. In the past decade, the Sisters have been dragged through multiple courtrooms fighting for protection against being forced to fund healthcare plans required under the Obama-era contraceptive mandate, which requires healthcare plans to provide women’s “preventative care,” including birth control and abortion-inducing drugs.
