Why DC Statehood Is a Suicidal Gamble
- By Pat Buchanan
When U.S. cities erupted after the death of George Floyd, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser was in the vanguard of the protests, renaming a section of downtown Black Lives Matter Plaza, and painting the name in letters on the street so huge they could be seen from space.
Thursday, however, Bowser awoke to those same BLM protesters yelling outside her home, denouncing a "D.C. police murder of a Black Man," and demanding the mayor fire Police Chief Peter Newsham.

This week both Chambers are scheduled to resume the 116th legislative session. After a turbulent past six months of negotiations and deals surrounding Coronavirus legislation, it’s sure to be another busy couple of months leading to the November election. To summarize what has happened in Washington so far, we want to share a few of the session’s highlights.
As South Carolinians’ income shrinks, state agency surpluses grow
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
The S.C. Department of Commerce started fiscal 2021 with a $103.1 million general-fund surplus – more than double its reserves from a year ago.
The S.C. House of Representatives had a $23.7 million surplus as of July 1 for its 124-member chamber – nearly $1 million more than its entire budget, records show.
Those amounts were part of $623.5 million in total general-fund surpluses among state agencies and several major state accounts at the end of fiscal 2019-20, according to a report by state Comptroller General Richard Eckstrom.

We're The Ones Getting Killed
- By John H. Utz - Greenville, SC
"We're the ones getting killed," as per Doc Rivers, NBA Coach of the LA Clippers. He is (acknowledged) an excellent NBA Coach as he is misinformed regarding 'white' (police) killing blacks. Hey Doc, here's some of what you don't know.
1) Jacob Blake was resisting arrest, had apparently just committed sexual assault, was tasered twice while resisting arrest, was on the ground and got up, and (now the video is rolling) he comes around the corner of the car and attempts to enter the car and looking for his knife which is known to be in the car, when he is shot. You can argue 'excessive' force, but you need to know the full story, which the leftist media, and the democratic/leftist political figures are denying you. He also had an outstanding warrant; and when are these thugs/trouble-makers going to stop resisting arrest?
Man Arrested as Captain America During Burglary Turns Hero
- By Good Landing Recovery
ATLANTA -- A Mississippi man who was arrested after dressing up as Captain America to commit a break-in has turned real-life hero.
What a difference one year has made for David Hobbs. His very public arrest in Sept. 2019 for burglarizing the shed of an armed former Marine in Clarksdale, Miss.--while comically dressed up in a Captain America costume with padded chest and fairy wings—captured the attention of Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, New York Post and other media, while going viral on social media.
Who Can Quiet the Riot?
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
"It can get out of hand in a blink of an eye," Shelby Talcott said. And she ought to know. The Daily Caller reporter has been in a half a dozen riot-ravaged cities over the last few months -- and the things she's seen are tough to shake. "This is far more organized than I think people realize," she warned. There are the loads of bricks and frozen water bottles trucked in to use as weapons. Rocks, glass, and firecrackers. Then, there's the money trail -- a seemingly endless cash flow that's bankrolling plane tickets, hotel rooms, even clothes. "They're becoming more coordinated," she warned. But unfortunately for them, so is Homeland Security.
The IMAGE of the Beast or the Antichrist
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON, Penn. -- A HOLOGRAM is a three-dimensional image created by light sources. In 2020, a hologram can now look EXACTLY like a person and even SPEAK a foreign language unknown by said person, but represented in his own voice tones and inflections! End times DECEPTION via hologram technology might be the very way the false prophet will DECEIVE people with "counterfeit miracles" (2 Thess. 2:9) centering around a breathing and speaking IMAGE of the beast:

Plight of Laid-Off American Workers Nothing to Celebrate
- By Michelle Malkin
American workers across the wage scale are hurting. Small-business owners across the country are fighting for their survival. Young people face more uncertainty than ever about their futures and ability to put food on the table.
As we head into Labor Day weekend, I would like to offer a friendly reminder from the "America First" right to the Beltway Republican message machine and the Trump campaign's social media mavens: Now is not the time to be cheerleading for pandemic profiteers, tech billionaires, and "woke capital" globalists who are addicted to cheap foreign labor and abhor American sovereignty. According to one analysis by Oxfam, 17 out of the top 25 most profitable U.S. corporations -- including Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Facebook, Pfizer and Visa -- are projected to rake in $85 billion more in 2020 than in previous years as upward of 40 million Americans are out of work.
Where Will All These War Games Lead?
- By Pat Buchanan
In northeast Syria last week, a U.S. military vehicle collided with a Russian armored vehicle, injuring four American soldiers.
Both the Americans and Russians blame each other for failing to follow established rules of the road. Had an American been killed, we could have had a crisis on our hands.

Their Road To Redemption Began At Pearl Harbor – Part 2
- By W.H. Lamb
Last time, we looked at the first of several of God’s Providential Miracles performed in this amazing WW11 tale, starring a young woman named Peggy Covell, and her “heart change” involving total forgiveness for people who had killed her missionary parents in the Philippines in 1943. She was the first link in this miraculous chain of God’s “events”, which changed not only her life, but also the lives of two other principles she inadvertently interacted with. Inadvertently, perhaps, in her mindbut NOT in God's plan."

Another Success for Trump
- By Mike Scruggs
Let Peace and Prosperity Reign and the Leftist Media Howl
On August 13, The Trump Administration announced a major diplomatic peace accord in the Middle East. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) became the third Arab nation, besides Egypt in 1979 and Jordan in 1994, to formally normalize diplomatic relations with Israel. The Abraham Accord was achieved as part of a major effort by the U.S. State Department under Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Nonsense
- By Walter Williams
Check out any professional and most college basketball teams. Their starting five, and most of their other 10 players, are black, as is 80% of the NBA. This does not come anywhere close to the diversity and inclusion sought by the nation's social justice warriors. Both professional and college coaches have ignored and threw any pretense of seeking diversity and inclusiveness. My question to you is: Would a basketball team be improved if coaches were required to include ethnically diverse players for the sake of equity? I have no idea of what your answer might be but mine would be: "The hell with diversity, equity and inclusion. I am going to recruit the best players and do not care if most of them turn out to be black players." Another question: Do you think that any diversity-crazed college president would chastise his basketball coach for lack of diversity and inclusiveness?

Is Biden VP Pick Kamala Harris A Democrat Trojan Horse For Future President, Nancy Pelosi?
- By Kevin White
(Originally published by John Di Lemme’s The Conservative Business Journal, Aug. 5, 2020)
Vice President Joe Biden finally has picked his running mate for his 303030 Presidential campaign. He only had a handful of shady Democrat black women to choose from based on his poorly conceived racist criteria.
Besides Kamala Harris possibly not being “natural born” (as required in the U.S. Constitution—ed.), she is also NOT “African American”. She is, however, one of the greatest charlatans in the history of man and womankind. Remember Kamala’s “that little black girl was me” rant about Biden’s racist past on segregation in the first Democrat debate? She was so upset that she went on a well-rehearsed tirade about how she unfairly treated.
Biden Is Underperforming Hillary in Battleground States
- By David Harsanyi
Attention readers: Neil Patel is off this week. Please enjoy the following column by David Harsanyi.
It remains something of a mystery why there's so little apprehension among liberal pundits and Democrats about the similarities between battleground state polling for the 2020 presidential election and 2016 contest -- which as you might recall did not turn out as expected.
Blaming the Violence on Trump Is a Bridge Too Far
- By David Limbaugh
Democrats can try but won't succeed at distancing themselves from the violence they have enabled on American streets. People surely know where the Democrats have stood on this, and that they're now backpedaling only because of polling data.
Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg outright blamed this anarchy on President Donald Trump. "The simple reality is that we are seeing more and more chaos and violence under the Trump presidency, and there's no reason to expect that it would get any different or better if he were reelected," said Buttigieg. "This is very much characteristic of living in Donald Trump's America, and I think we're going to see more and more of it as long as he's in charge."
Is Biden Ceding the Law-and-Order Issue?
- By Pat Buchanan
Is Joe Biden forfeiting the law-and-order issue to Donald Trump?
So it would seem.
"Republicans Use Law and Order As Rallying Cry" was the top headline on The New York Times' front-page story on Vice President Mike Pence's acceptance speech at Fort McHenry Wednesday night.
The Wall Street Journal Page One headline echoed the Times: "Pence Accepts Nomination as GOP Puts Focus on Police."

President Trump Releases His Second Term Agenda
- By Eagle Forum
The Republican National Convention went off without a hitch this week. The day that the convention kicked-off, President Trump released his second term agenda. The President’s simple priorities touched on many of the cultural and policy issues that Americans are facing today. Some of the promises he espouses include ending our reliance on China, defending the police, putting America first, and draining the swamp among others.
A Majority of Americans Think Jesus is a Great Teacher Yet Reject His Claims to be God
- By Ligonier Ministries
ORLANDO, Fla. -- A new survey reveals that 52 percent of American adults believe that Jesus was a great teacher and nothing more. If Jesus' claim to be God is false, then He was either delusional or deceptive, but He could not have been a great teacher.
Ligonier Ministries' biennial State of Theology survey provides key findings on what Americans think about God, truth, the Bible, worship, and ethical issues. Conducted with LifeWay Research, this survey polled a nationally representative sample of U.S. adults. The full results for the 2020 survey will be available online at TheStateofTheology.com as of September 8.
