- By Randy Page - BJU
Bob Jones University will host its annual Bible Conference Feb. 15–18, on the BJU campus. This year’s theme, “Contending for the Faith” from Jude 3 will help attendees view issues through a biblical lens and rely on the sufficiency of Scripture.
“We invite the community to join us on campus for the services,” said BJU President Steve Pettit. “Our speakers will challenge, equip and encourage us as we seek to live out our faith in practical ways. Bible conference week is a time for us to step away from our daily routines and be refreshed by a focus on the truths found in God’s Word.”

Retired NBC News and Today Show Correspondent Bob Dotson will present the lecture "Behind the Media Mirror: A Lifetime Search for Ordinary Americans Doing Extraordinary Things" on Tuesday, March 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Hamlin Recital Hall on North Greenville University's Tigerville Campus.
Dotson often jokes, "I've been in more hotel rooms than the Gideon Bible." But after 40 years of crisscrossing the United States for NBC Nightly News and the Today Show, he might be right. Dotson's "American Story" series brought tales of true-life heroes to millions of television viewers, always focusing on the people who make the country work rather than the dysfunction that sometimes dominates the news.

NGU Partners with Local Church to Train Next Generation of Christian Leaders
- By LaVerne Howell - NGU
North Greenville University (NGU) is taking its mission of graduating transformational leaders for church and society into the local churches through strategic partnerships. NGU has partnered with Rocky Creek Church in Greenville to offer graduate ministry courses through the church’s Entrust Institute, a new leadership development program. The partnership began in January.
NGU President Dr. Gene C. Fant, Jr., says that North Greenville University was birthed by local churches and maintains a close relationship with local churches.
“Foundational to our mission is the equipping of transformational leaders for the church and this program is an outgrowth of that vision,” said Dr. Fant. “Just as Dr. Agnew is a transformational leader at his church and as a former chair of the NGU board, this program prepares promising leaders by offering practical experiences in day-to-day ministry.”

Virginia AG Miyares Declares Colleges Lack Authority to Issue Vax Mandates
- By Eagle Forum
Alton, IL – In his first legal opinion as Virginia’s Attorney General, Jason Miyares opined that the Code of Virginia does not grant Virginia’s state colleges and universities the power to require the COVID-19 vaccine as a general condition of enrollment or in-person attendance.
“Although the General Assembly specifically authorized public institutions of higher education to assist the Department of Health and local health departments in the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine, the legislation did not grant such institutions power to impose vaccine requirements,” said Miyares.
“We are thrilled that right out of the gate, Attorney General Miyares is defending Virginians against unlawful overreach from unelected bureaucrats,” said Eagle Forum President Colleen Holcomb. “We hope other Attorneys General throughout the country will follow suit.”
