Greenville County GOP Votes to Censure Senator Graham
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
Resolution in support of the Replacement of Senator Lindsey Graham as Senator for the State of South Carolina passed by a margin of two to one
The Greenville County Republican Party Executive committee voted Monday night to censure South Carolina senior Senator Lindsey Graham.
The vote in favor of the resolution was 53 to 26 opposed. The measure that had been introduced in August was passed with little debate. Although the vote was lopsided against Graham, it revealed an increase in Graham supporters in the Executive Committee over votes to censure in previous years.
In other business, Attorney Samuel Harms gave a much awaited presentation on the status of the County GOP lawsuit seeking change to the South Carolina voting laws that are believed to be unconstitutional as they pertain to the primary and convention candidate selection processes. The presentation was given in executive session with only Executive Committeemen and precinct presidents and other party officers present, in compliance with attorney client rules.

New Advocacy Center Seeks To Inform Voters and Legislators
- By Advocacy Center
One of the attendees Saturday the 28th at an all-day training session said, “ Now I see what to do and its not all that hard.” She is one of the 14 that have joined the new Advocacy Center sponsored by the Greenville Tea Party.
“South Carolina lags behind her neighboring states on important factors that make life better. What is the problem?” asks Don Rogers, who along with Bill McShea, are heading up the new effort to change specific laws in the state. “Many of our state laws make us less productive, less educated, less healthy, less safe, and less free. Laws are made in Committees; we the people need to be there free-of charge in reserve VIP seats” Rogers declared.

Constitution Very Much Alive in America
- By James Moore
Coulter Speaks at Furman
When Ann Coulter was invited by the Furman University’s Conservative Students for a Better Tomorrow to speak on campus on September 19, there was one question that they wanted her to answer. The question that they felt most compelling to address was whether or not the Constitution was dead or alive in America.
“It may be dead in the ACLU meetings. It may be dead in the Democratic caucus, and it may be on life support in the Supreme Court, but in the hearts of the American people the Constitution is very much alive,” said Coulter.
Coulter feels that the Constitution is doing just fine. The problem, she feels, is that some of those in power refuse to read the document. From abortion rights to the right to bear arms, Coulter gave examples of how the left has tried to misinterpret rights, but has often failed. She spoke about how liberals are in favor of choice only when it pertains to topics that can further their agenda.
