“Twenty-one years ago, we didn’t know what to expect,” said Eva Muntean, co-chair and one of the founders of the Walk for Life West Coast. “Well, what we found was that people of all races, ages, and religions were just looking for an opportunity to choose life! We were amazed by the turnout that first year, and we have grown ever since. Now we fill Civic Center Plaza and the Walk extends for more than a mile of wall-to-wall people as we walk down Market Street!”
Lame-Duck Biden Admin Fails to Take 2024 Election to Heart

On Monday, President Joe Biden banned all new oil and gas drilling in all federal waters — approximately 625 million acres. Due to the terms of the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, President-elect Donald Trump may not be able to administratively reverse the decision, without congressional action. Alongside Biden’s last-minute drilling bans on federal lands in Alaska and Nevada, this move is designed to severely restrict Trump’s ability to kickstart the American economy with an invigorating shot of cheap, domestically produced energy.
Robert E. Lee — A Noble Legacy under Attack

Defamation of a Gallant Soldier, Selfless Patriot, and True Christian

January 19 will mark the 218th anniversary of the birth of Robert E. Lee in 1807, one of the most respected and revered military leaders in American history. That respect and reverence extends over most of the world, wherever military leadership is studied. Robert E. Lee’s birthday was once celebrated as an official holiday in most Southern states.
The number of holidays or commemorative days for Robert E. Lee has dropped considerably, however, in the last two decades. Only four states now commemorate Lee as an official holiday or observance: Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arkansas. Alabama and Mississippi celebrate a combined Lee and Martin Luther King holiday, and Arkansas now has only a commemorative day, but these and others have become largely invisible in politics and the media.

(I’m indebted to the book, What If America Were a Christian Nation Again?, written by my hero of the Christian Faith, the late Rev. D. James Kennedy, with Jerry Newcombe, published in 2003 by Thomas Nelson Publishers in Nashville, Tennessee, for some of the inspiration for this article, and I quote somewhat freely from it. Most of the words are mine, some are from Dr. Kennedy. The original admonitions are from the One who made all things, including THE UNBORN CHILD in its mother’s womb, come to be, and is the One who looks at his created children, points His finger at them—at US—and says SHAME—SHAME ON YOU! I cringe even as I write this, for how long will THE CREATOR withhold His justice from America?)

Why America Is in So Much Trouble

Shortly before Milton Friedman's death in 2006, I had the privilege of interviewing him over dinner in San Francisco. The last question I asked him was: What are the three things we have to do to make America more prosperous?
His answer I have never forgotten: "First, allow universal school choice; second, expand free trade; third and most importantly, cut government spending." That was long before Barack Obama and Joe Biden came along.
There aren't too many problems in America that can't be traced back to the growth of big and incompetent government.

SPARTANBURG: No. 11 U.S. Growth City of 2024
PHOENIX, Ariz. — Spartanburg is the No. 11 U.S. Growth City of 2024, according to the U-Haul Growth Index analyzing one-way customer moves over the past year.
Of all the U-Haul traffic to come and go from Spartanburg last year, 52.5% was incoming and 47.5% outgoing.
Looking at year-over-year variations, arrivals were down 3% in 2024 (compared to 2023) while departures were down nearly 10%. With more residents staying, Spartanburg posted a larger net gain of U-Haul customers.
In addition to its annual top 25 growth cities list, U-Haul recognized its top 25 growth metropolitan areas for the first time. The top growth cities (city propers) are from markets outside the leading metros, allowing more communities to be recognized for their ability to attract and retain do-it-yourself movers.

Responses to the New Year’s Terror Attacks: ‘We Need to Pray’

- By Sarah Holliday - The Washington Stand

Just two days into the new year, and America is already facing a series of dire circumstances. Around 3:00 a.m. on New Year’s Day, New Orleans was hit with what many believe is a terrorist attack after a man rammed through a crowd in a truck bearing an ISIS flag. He killed multiple people and injured dozens of others. However, later that same day, a Tesla Cybertruck outside of the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas exploded in what appears to be another alleged terror strike. The only person killed was the man inside the vehicle at the time of the explosion. However, at least seven people were injured.

Conservatives Leave 2024 With a Long List of Wins

The times are a-changing! We have a lot to celebrate as we begin 2025. After four tough years of the Biden administration, the American people came out in droves and voted for a more conservative agenda. All across the country, Americans rejected the extremist ideology of the Democrats in favor of common-sense policies. The incoming Trump administration working with Republican majorities in both the House of Representatives and Senate will provide a real opportunity to repair the damage that the Left has inflicted on every sector of the government. But we did not lose every battle in 2024 — let’s look at some of our hard-fought wins over the last year.

The media have been playing up the "civil war" inside the GOP between what Politico calls the "MAGA Republicans and Big Tech." The restrictionists in the party want fewer visas, and the pro-growth wing wants more.
This past weekend, President-elect Donald Trump announced his support for expanding immigrant worker visas. He told the New York Post:
"I've always liked the visas, I have always been in favor of the visas. That's why we have them."

As 2024 came to a close, the battle to save America begins anew with the inauguration of Donald J. Trump on January 20, 2025. The battle shall prove, and already has, to be a serious, multifaceted, diabolical and aggressive set of acts to stop President Trump at every turn, and to collapse the United States into the New-World Order where national sovereignty no longer exists. Make no mistake about this, if America fails all currently classified "free countries" shall fail, also.

SAN JOSE, Calif., — The USA is in a crisis from ungodly leadership. As a result, Christians across the nation are in prayer and fasting for 40 days, seeking the Lord to raise up Christian leaders. This is from January 1 to February 9. With the elections there are thousands of positions to fill and “we know God’s will is for representatives to follow Jesus as judge, lawgiver, and king, Isaiah 33:22,” said Steven Andrew, who has reached 80 million people with the Gospel. This powerful movement led by Andrew, pastor of the American Christian Denomination, seeks divine intervention to have godly leadership honoring Jesus Christ.
“This is about millions of more people getting saved, living in Christian liberty, having strong families that build their life on God’s Word, and glorifying the Lord throughout the country,” Andrew said.

I was raised in the convenience-food era by New York City-born parents who were the farthest thing from granola two people could possibly be. We ate sugary cereals for breakfast and canned vegetables soup fruit everything for dinner and I doubt there was a single day during my childhood when I did not enjoy at least one individually wrapped Kraft Single (a “pasteurized, prepared food product” that cannot legally be labeled cheese, so that’s lovely). The term “farmer’s market” did not exist in our family vocabulary.
Extra Toes in Guinea Pigs
- Details
- By Charles Creager, Jr.
Guinea pigs are a fairly popular pet, and they are a common alternative to cats and dogs. They normally have relatively large heads and eyes, as well as fewer toes than most mammals. However, sometimes Guinea pigs will grow extra toes in a condition called polydactyly. It is commonly cited as an atavism and evidence for universal common descent by suggesting that it shows they descended from five-toed ancestors.
Normally Guinea pigs have four toes on their front feet and three toes on their hind feet. These toes are important in both their mobility and grooming such that a deviation from these numbers can cause problems.

The additional bureaucratic hoops have been explained as necessary for Israel’s security, TOI reports. Other countries are reportedly implementing similar measures.

What's Wrong With the Democratic Party?

Following defeat in the presidential election, Democratic Party leadership is doing much needed soul searching.
Those not in denial know there is something wrong.
Per Gallup, in the 10 months in 2024 prior to the election, January to October, the Democrat partisan advantage -- the percentage identifying as Democrat or lean Democrat minus the percentage identifying as Republican or lean Republican -- was in negative territory 5 of the 10 months. This is more Democrat negatives than in any presidential election year since Gallup started reporting this in 1992.

Blount: A leadership that does not hide behind polished words or wrap itself in political games

Current District 19 Greenville County Councilman Benton Blount has announced he is putting his name in to run for Chairman of Greenville County Council, a decision he says has not come lightly but by those who have supported him and not about recognition or title.
He has made it very clear that he will not be a polished chairman and that Greenville needs that. He said that polished politics is "one of the reasons so many have grown disillusioned with government. Too often, leaders seem to put on a polished persona in the council chambers, only to take it off the moment they leave. That’s not who I am, and it’s not who I’ll ever be."
Negotiating the End and Terms of the Ukraine War

Background for Factual, Historical, and Demographic Analysis

Western mass media propaganda creates the impression that Ukraine is a virtuous democratic country united against an “unprovoked invasion” by Russia on February 24, 2022. There are two major factors that caused Russia’s Special Military Action that might more rightly be called an intervention rather than an unprovoked invasion. First of all, in 2008 at the Bucharest NATO Summit, George W. Bush, probably heavily influenced by Dick Chaney, Bush’s Vice President from 2001 to 2009, pushed NATO to make Ukraine and Georgia members. This was all part of an intrigue and “Great Game,” started by the British and including the Crimean War of 1853, to block Russia from access to the Black Sea. At the NATO Summit in 2008, Bush got some pushback from Germany and France, but nevertheless pushed through a NATO resolution to make Ukraine and Georgia members of NATO. At the time, Ukraine was constitutionally neutral and a majority of Ukrainians had no interest in NATO or the European Union. A large part of their trade was with Russia.

We’ve all heard that sage observation that “getting old isn’t for thefaint of heart, or for wimps”. At the age of 88, I can verify the truth of that wisdom, as the “aches and pains” of the years constantly do battle with me. Each week I seem to discover new joints that I never knew I had, and getting “started” in the morning is becoming a painful challenge. Developing sufficient “torque” to get moving is much more difficult than it was decades ago. Younger folks sometimes question the abilities of “experienced” seniors, but are themselves often in a mental fog when we relate historical events that are perfectly clear to us, even though they may have occurred decades previously. (True history is a “foreign concept” to many of our younger citizens, sadly, thanks to those deliberately incompetent “Institutions of Induced Ignorance” (i.e. government schools) that most of them attended.)

During its four years in office, the Biden-Harris administration conducted a whole-of-government attempt to surveil, censor, and possibly imprison conservative Christians — and the FBI acted as “a witting participant” in their harassment campaign, a massive new government report details.
The Democratic administration’s attempt to harass “pro-life, pro-family” citizens takes up a significant part of the 17,019-page report, which the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government released on December 20. The efforts included painting concerned parents and “radical-traditionalist Catholics” as incipient domestic terrorists.
Either You Own Property, or You Are Property

- By Kathleen Marquardt - American Policy Center

“Property in a thing consists not merely in its ownership and possession, but in the unrestricted right of use, enjoyment, and disposal. Anything which destroys any of the elements of property, to that extent, destroys the property itself. The substantial value of property lies in its use. If the right of use be denied, the value of the property is annihilated, and ownership I rendered a barren right.” Washington State Supreme Court Justice Richard B. Sanders
Without the right to property, we only have the right to our thoughts; all else will be controlled by others.
