Whose Finger Is on the Button?
- By Franklin D. Raddish
While our country is playing Father-may-I with President Obama, Pakistan is like dynamite ready to explode. Pakistan has become a very urgent national security issue for our country. The Pakistani government under the leadership of Asif Ali Zardari is trying to seek peace with the Taliban through appeasement. The Taliban sees appeasement as weakness that it will gladly exploit to promote its evil rule. The Taliban is making tremendous inroads into Pakistan and is exerting its influence on the government. Already the Zardari government has capitulated the Swat valley only one hundred miles from the capital of Islamabad to the Taliban in return for peace. The Taliban agreed to this peace accord and then violated its terms and launched another attack against the district of Buner only sixty miles from Islamabad.

The Church Needs A Marriage Apologetic
- By Dr. Tony Beam
Since the election of President Obama, marriage has been under a relentless assault as proponents of same-sex marriage sense the tide of public opinion turning in their favor. The new White House website, which was posted on the day of President Obama’s inauguration, calls for the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act. In relatively quick succession, the Iowa and Connecticut state supreme courts declared same-sex marriage legal and Vermont became the first state to pass same-sex marriage through their legislature. The people of Iowa have yet to have their say in the matter and it is likely, if the legislature will allow it, there will be a constitutional amendment protecting marriage on a future Iowa ballot that will pass with plenty of votes to spare.

Advice From the Oracle
- By Raquelle Sheen
Not every family is blessed by having a Great Oracle of Wisdom such as myself in their midst, but my family is lucky. I am always ready to dispense Advice and Instruction whenever I’m asked for it, and often when I’m not asked! (Isn’t that nice of me?) And although my Vast Talents occasionally go unappreciated by my thankless family, I have no doubt that you will appreciate the tips on homeschooling and childrearing that I, the Homeschooled Oracle, have to offer. I share these Fabulous Tidbits out of my store of Personal Experiences, Personal Observations, and from the Stock of Truisms I learned from my Venerated Parents.
A-a-hem. Here it goes.
Kids will be kids. But that doesn’t mean they can’t learn to act like well-behaved adults—usually at a younger age than parents give them credit for.

Disarming the American People
- By Franklin D. Raddish
The Second Amendment in our Constitution says, “A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”
Obama, Reid, and Pelosi want to take our guns. Nancy (Jezebel) Pelosi, the U.S. House Speaker, has recently started a public media campaign to register guns that have not been registered by their owners. Pelosi said in one of her kick-off media anti-gun episodes, “We don’t want to take their guns away. We want them registered.” This is nothing but political camouflaged propaganda to take the guns from the American people. Pelosi’s objective is for Americans to register their guns today so Obama and company can confiscate them tomorrow. Gun control has its roots in Communism and Nazism. These tyrannical groups know that a defenseless people is an enslaved people. Communist dictators throughout the world could not have committed the atrocities they did if they had not disarmed the people first.

Obama Shows His True Pro-Arab Colors
- By Dr. Al Snyder
I am sad and even ashamed to say it, but our U.S. President Barack Obama, in his first 100 days in office, has clearly and unmistakeably shown the world, and Israel, his true colors. And they are not pro-Israel.
We could start with his bowing to the Moslem Saudi Arabian King Abdullah when he met him recently at the G20 summit in London. Almost every American, and probably all Israelis, took this as a serious insult. How could the leader of the world's greatest democratic and pro-Christian nation bow himself to the leader of the world's leading autocratic and Moslem nation? And then, how could he further demean himself by denying his bowing, when we all saw him do it with our own eyes? Would he bow before the Jewish president or prime minister of Israel? I wouldn't bet on it.

Koos De la Rey
- By Mike Scruggs
A Boer General like Lee, Jackson, and Forrest
Part 2 of The Boer Republics under Siege
South Africa 1899 to 1903
The Boer Republics of Transvaal and the Orange Free State in South Africa were under siege by the British Empire during the First Boer War from 1880 to 1881 and again during the more famous Second Boer War from 1899 to 1902. The issues were Boer independence versus gold mining resources and empire. In 1879, just before the First Boer war, the British Army engaged migrating Zulu tribes during what was called the Anglo-Zulu War, which is more famous in the U.S. because of two famous battles: Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift. The heroism of a small detachment of 141 men, mostly from the 24th Welsh Foot (infantry) at Rorke’s Drift, for which eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded, was the subject of the American movie, Zulu. But before we continue the story of Koos De la Rey and the Second Boer War, it is important to summarize the state of South Africa from 1994 until today.
