National Law Enforcement Museum Ad Campaign Highlights "True Law" Stories
- By Robyn Small
Museum's latest ad campaign teases exhibits using likenesses of lesser-known historical heroes
WASHINGTON, DC — Most Americans are familiar with organized crime boss Al Capone. They may not be as familiar with Eliot Ness, the federal agent who played a crucial role in bringing Capone to justice. In a new advertising campaign, the National Law Enforcement Museum at the Motorola Solutions Foundation Building highlights Ness and other lesser-known law enforcement heroes featured in their exhibits.
Democrats Unhinged Over Alabama's Abortion Bill
- By David Limbaugh
Alabama's mostly Republican lawmakers and governor passed a strong abortion ban this week, and liberals are fit to be tied.
"Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act, a bill that was approved by overwhelming majorities in both chambers of the legislature," said Gov. Kay Ivey. "To the bill's many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians' deeply held belief that every life is precious and that every life is a sacred gift from God."
U.S. Beef Gains Full Access to Japan
- By USDA
Washington, D.C. – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced that the United States and Japan have agreed on new terms and conditions that eliminate Japan’s longstanding restrictions on U.S. beef exports, paving the way for expanded sales to the United States’ top global beef market. Last week, on the margins of the G-20 Agriculture Ministerial Meeting in Niigata, Japan, Secretary Perdue met with Japanese government officials and affirmed the importance of science-based trade rules. The new terms, which take effect immediately, allow U.S. products from all cattle, regardless of age, to enter Japan for the first time since 2003.
Evangelist Alveda King: Black Women are Up in Arms -- Americans Ban Abortions While Hollywood Gives More Excuses to Kill People
- By Christian Newswire
ATLANTA -- As Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, Missouri, Kentucky and other states take a bold stand, joining POTUS in America's fight to protect the civil rights and human dignity of children in the womb, Black Prolife women say enough is enough; as they continue to demand positive solutions to abortion which include defunding Planned Parenthood, America's abortion giant, and dismantling the "racist" federal Office of Population Affairs.
Who Wants This War with Iran?
- By Pat Buchanan
Speaking on state TV of the prospect of a war in the Gulf, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei seemed to dismiss the idea.
"There won't be any war. ... We don't seek a war, and (the Americans) don't either. They know it's not in their interests."
The ayatollah's analysis -- a war is in neither nation's interest -- is correct. Consider the consequences of a war with the United States for his own country.
An Ivey League of Pro-Lifers
- By Tony Perkins
Is that a threat or a promise? Either way, Alabamians probably had a good chuckle. When their governor signed the Human Rights Protection Act into law, the ACLU thought its tweet would have the state shaking in its boots. "You can't say we didn't warn you @GovernorKayIvey. See you in court." Well, obviously, the Left wasn't paying attention, since that was whole point! When Governor Ivey (R) signed the state's abortion ban into law, she did it with one eye on the unborn -- and the other on the U.S. Supreme Court. If liberals sue, she knows as well as we do: they'll be doing pro-lifers a favor.
Subsidies for Carolina Panthers: A losing game for S.C. taxpayers?
- By Rick Brundrett - The Nerve
At the end of the 2014 regular legislative session, lawmakers slipped in a budget proviso funneling $75,000 through the state tourism agency for the Carolina Panthers’ summer training camp at Wofford College in Spartanburg.
Then-Gov. Nikki Haley vetoed the proviso, writing in her June 11, 2014, veto message, “The National Football League is an enormously successful multi-billion dollar organization and we’re proud to host the Panthers’ training camp in Spartanburg, but it’s hard to imagine they need $75,000 from South Carolina’s taxpayers.”
Sweet Womb Alabama
- By Tony Perkins - Family Research Council
It’s the state of Selma, of Martin Luther King Jr. It was where Rosa Parks took a stand by taking a seat. Now, that same Alabama isn’t just home to the civil rights movement, but a human rights movement. And liberals couldn’t be more irate. That’s because this bill isn’t about ending abortion in Dixie. It’s about ending abortion period.

Journalist and Author Alex Newman Speaks in Columbia Event: "Rescuing Our Children"
- By April Few
Columbia, SC – There is a reason the Deep State globalists sound so confident about the success of their agenda - they have a secret weapon: More than 85% of American children are being indoctrinated by radicalized government schools. In this explosive talk, Alex Newman exposes the insanity that has taken over the public school system. From the sexualization of children and the re-shaping of values to deliberate dumbing down, Newman shows how dangerous this threat is -- not just to our children -- but to the future of faith, family, and freedom. More importantly, he shares what you and every American can do about it.
Alyssa Milano's Not-So-Lucky Strike
- By Tony Perkins
The former star of "Who's the Boss?" wants to make it clear who isn't the boss of women's bodies. But Alyssa Milano's idea for protesting Georgia's new pro-life law has only proven one thing: Just because Hollywood takes a side doesn't mean they understand the issue.
"Our reproductive rights are being erased," Milano tweeted Friday. "Until women have legal control over our own bodies, we just cannot risk pregnancy. JOIN ME by not having sex until we get bodily autonomy back." When word of her #SexStrike started making the social media rounds, the blowback was amazingly universal. People on both sides of the political aisle -- women, especially -- could hardly contain their irritation (if they were liberal) or laughter (if they were conservative).
Harvard's Insatiable Identity-Politics Cannibals
- By Michelle Malkin
I have no love for left-wing, Hillary-promoting Hollywood producer and accused #MeToo villain Harvey Weinstein. Nor am I a fan of those who perpetrated the cop-bashing "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" fiction involving social justice martyr Michael Brown. But I do strongly believe that a grave injustice has been committed by Harvard's witch-hunt mobsters against a law professor who joined Weinstein's legal team and had represented Brown's family in a civil suit against Ferguson, Missouri.

Open Letter to Congressional Black Caucus
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON --The following open letter is from Pastor Stephen Broden and Dr. Randy Short, M.Div.:
Millions of Black Americans are slowly becoming aware that the so-called Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) is preparing to back-stab them by voting to enact the Gay Equality Act on Thursday, May 16, 2019. CBC Chairwoman Karen Bass (D-CA) and the entire morally-bankrupt CBC have flippantly refused to defend the real purpose of the 1964 Civil Rights Act as a scam to make "Gay the New Black" wherein pedophiles, sodomites of all stripes, and persons of debased fetish needs are accorded protected class status akin to Blacks and women.

Tariffs: The Taxes That Made America Great
- By Pat Buchanan
As his limo carried him to work at the White House Monday, Larry Kudlow could not have been pleased with the headline in The Washington Post: "Kudlow Contradicts Trump on Tariffs."
The story began: "National Economic Council Director Lawrence Kudlow acknowledged Sunday that American consumers end up paying for the administration's tariffs on Chinese imports, contradicting President Trump's repeated inaccurate claim that the Chinese foot the bill."
Buttigieg’s Diversity Issues Aren’t Improving
- By Joe Jackson - Republican National Committee
The diversity issues following Pete Buttigieg around the campaign trail aren’t going away. In a new Charleston Post & Courier poll broken down by ethnicity, Pete Buttigieg currently enjoys 0% support from the black community in South Carolina. Apparently, it takes more than a meetingwith Al Sharpton for Buttigieg to solve his severe lack of support among a key voting demographic in South Carolina – one that makes up 60% of the Democrat electorate in the Palmetto State.
Coptic Solidarity Strongly Urges President Trump to Designate the Muslim Brotherhood a Terrorist Organization
- By Christian Newswire
WASHINGTON -- Coptic Solidarity welcomes the White House announcement on April 30, 2019 of the administration's intent to designate the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization. Coptic Solidarity strongly urges President Trump's administration to promptly issue such an executive order with the hope that it will put an end to the Muslim Brotherhood, which has been largely responsible for Islamic extremism across the globe for the past nine decades.
Higher Education in America
- By Walter Williams
Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Economics at Ohio University Richard Vedder's new book, "Restoring the Promise," published by the Independent Institute based in Oakland, California, is about the crisis in higher education. He summarizes the three major problems faced by America's colleges and universities. First, our universities "are vastly too expensive, often costing twice as much per student compared with institutions in other industrialized democracies." Second, though there are some important exceptions, students "on average are learning relatively little, spend little time in academic preparation and in some disciplines are indoctrinated by highly subjective ideology." Third, "there is a mismatch between student occupational expectations after graduation and labor market realities." College graduates often find themselves employed as baristas, retail clerks and taxi drivers.

April also marks the 14th consecutive month of the unemployment rate being at or below 4 percent.

Colorado School Shootings and Pot Prosperity
- By Mike Scruggs
Part 4 of Whom the Gods Would Destroy
Shortly before 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, two teen-age students penetrated deep into Highlands Ranch K-12 STEM School in Douglas County, Colorado. Pulling out pistols, they began a shooting spree at two locations killing one student and wounding eight more. The heroic action of three students, one of whom was Kendrick Castillo, the only fatality, disarmed the shooters, who were arrested and taken into custody by Douglas County sheriff deputies within two minutes. The 1,800-student school did not currently have a School Resource Officer but had private security according to Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock. Highlands Ranch is a high income suburban area 12 miles south of Denver. In the public schools system, STEM stands for science, technology, engineering, and math.
Like Father, Like Son? Not Always!
- By W.H. Lamb
“Like father, like son”. We’ve all heard this saying in the past, I’m sure. In the normal scheme of things those words are often true but sometimes they miss the mark totally. I, for one, am nothing like my father was—not as a teen or an adult. Despite his being an every weekend abuser of alcohol for all of my growing up years, my father always earned enough to keep me and my mother, and later my younger sister, well cared for. He was an unloving and “distant” parent, an atheist who never did learn how to communicate with me or ever express love for his family, and my mother was always my stay-at-home Mom, providing the love and attention so lacking in my father toward all of us.
I Honor and Remember My Mother
- By Anne Schlafly Cori
“She won at life” said a writer last week in talking about my mother, Phyllis Schlafly. What a great line! On this Mother’s Day, nearly three years after her passing, several commentators have recently written that Phyllis Schlafly was so unusual that she was an outlier and the New York Times even dared to ask, “Where is the Phyllis Schlafly of our time”?
