Cash Stumps at ACG

- By Terry M. Thacker
Third District GOP Congressional candidate Richard Cash addressed a crowd of over 50 conservative activists at last Monday’s meeting of the Americans for Constitutional Government study group. The ACG meets every fourth Monday at the Symmes Branch (Pelham Road) of the Greenville County Public Library.
The socially conservative Cash mentioned three reasons why he is running for office. He said that the country needs to return to God, government needs to be returned to the people, and socialism must be stopped.
Cash gave another reason for running for the Congressional seat currently held by GOP gubernatorial candidate Gresham Barrett. He said that he is concerned about the nation’s future and what it holds for his eight children and the many grandchildren he anticipates being born in the future.
Now is Time to Study Candidates
- Details

The filing period for Republican and Democrat primary candidates closed Tuesday at noon. “Third” party candidates are being chosen by convention vote. Everyone who is running for Congress, Governor, State Legislature, statewide constitutional offices, countywide offices and county council filed and paid their filing fees. Now that we know who is running, it is time to begin studying candidates and not waiting until the last minute and depending on some newspaper or special interest group endorsement to decide for whom you will cast your ballot.
This is probably the most important election in our lifetime or the history of the republic. Every vote counts and it is extremely important that we know as much as possible about the candidate for whom we cast our ballot.
Appointed Governors/Martial Law
- Details
- By Bill Ivy - John's Island, SC
The U.S. of A divided up into ten regions, having an appointed governor, holding dictorial powers, with military enforcement, under martial law. This wouldn’t be the first time in American history that such has taken place. That’s a fact. Instead of ten regions there were five, having every element as read in the first line above. The differences between the ten regions to come and the five of America’s past will be their years implicated and their technologies, with both having been against the will of the people of the times.
Where Is The Hope?

In a letter to the editor one year ago, right after President Obama’s first speech as our new president, I voiced some of my fears and some of my hopes about how he would lead the nation. As I listened to his State of the Union speech a couple of months ago I compared his highflown promises of a year ago with what he has accomplished in a year, and I say this to him.
“Mr. President, I see a year of unparallel citizen unrest, of unemployment, accelerated racism, indecisiveness, confusion and anger. You are trying to achieve the change we don’t want, but where is the hope?

As you know we have a lot of problems in the U.S.A. and the world and I have solutions.
Solution One:
We need to raise the bar on the requirement to work in law enforcement; they should be Christian because to work in law enforcement should be considered a sensitive job. Please tell the lawmakers to raise the bar on this issue.

Spring is here! It's the season we all have been waiting for through the long, cool winter. First, we have the crowning of the "March Madness" college basketball champion this weekend. Then we also have the opening of the 2010 major league baseball season. But the best and far more important event of this weekend is the Easter holidays, the three-day commemoration of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world.

In today's local newspaper there was an article extolling the benefits the health care bill will have for children. The reasoning behind the article was rather convoluted, actually talking about how the law's provision to make insurers accept children with pre-existing conditions would allow parents to move from job to job without fear of losing their child's health care insurance. This would provide the child a happier home life because their parents would be better satisfied and perhaps have a better income.

I am writing this column relating to what I have seen as being an injustice to the people of South Carolina. 1 am a Licensed Master of Social Work who has graduated from a highly rated school of social work and has been a therapist, supervisor, program manager and director of outpatient and inpatient programs. In South Carolina 1 have been employed in the Department of Alcohol and Drugs (DAODAS), the Department of Mental Health and The Department of Juvenile Justice. Obama’s Moral Equivalent to the 1933 Reichstag Fire
What Obama, Schumer, Reid, and Pelosi and their gang are doing to jam legislation through Congress by trampling the Constitution and parliamentary procedure and ignoring the voice of the people, is the moral equivalent of the Enabling Act that followed the February 27, 1933 Reichstag fire.
How the fire started is controversial. Berlin Police found a Dutch Communist agitator, Marinus van der Lubbe, in the building, but it was evident that he had help in starting such a large fire. Were the Communists starting a revolution or did the Nazis set up and manipulate van der Lubbe into starting it and then finish the job themselves? Nazi detectives completed the investigation. Herman Goering bragged to a gathering of high-ranking Nazi’s in 1942 that he was responsible for the fire.
Willis Meadows Announces for Reelection for Greenville County Council
- Details
- By Press Release
Greenville County Councilman Willis Meadows has officially announced his candidacy for reelection for Greenville County Council District 19 seat.
Meadows, a former principal of Travelers Rest High School, who is currently owner of a Greenville insurance agency, said he will continue to give the district “an effective, experienced and conservative voice on Greenville County Council.
“As a long-time resident of Greenville County I care deeply about our community,” Meadows said. “District 19 is facing new challenges, presented by unprecedented growth. Along with the existing problems of a weak economy, development, congestion, and an increasing property tax burden, County Council continually faces new challenges that require common sense solutions. I want to continue to help find these new common sense solutions for our county just as I have done the past three year as a council member. This approach is the same as I have used in my education and business careers for over four decades.”
Driving on the Parkway (Or Parking on the Driveway)

Yes, it is true. I know it is hard to believe, especially since just a few short weeks ago I wrapped up a series of travel articles telling you about my adventures on a trip to Missouri and Tennessee. To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, “There I go again.”
Yes, I am “on the road again,” to quote still another well-known individual. And yes, my gas tank is full and my coffee mug is brimming, and I am raring to hit the road. So let’s go, shall we?
It was back in late September that I started out on my yearly week’s vacation. My destination was Maryland to visit with family, but, as many of you already know, I don’t always take the shortest route to my eventual destination. This time around I decided to amble up the Blue Ridge Parkway and take it as far north as I could before nightfall.
The Republic is Changed Forever

Obamacare is now the law of the land unless it can be repealed or declared unconstitutional. Our beloved republic has been systematically dismantled by subversives who now control the government. It is an unbelievable tragedy.
The people who voted for Barack Hussein Obama in November 2008 launched a Marxist revolution that will change our constitutional republic forever, beginning Sunday night, March 21, 2010. Some Americans with good intentions who thought it could not happen here and failed to become involved and chose to remain ignorant of political matters and facts regarding government operations allowed it to happen and share the blame and shame.

In no particular order: Things That Worked In Our Homeschool.

The War Within
At first glance, it seems we have a misprint, but, not so ... ADAM, the first man created, according to Biblical Scripture, was made from the dust of the ground and given the ability to reproduce himself; thus the human race became a reality.
The term “dust” is understood as being very small particles, grayish in color and always present. We can take this word and carry it a little further into yet smaller degrees of existence.
Under the microscope we would look deeper into its configuration and discover that there is more to this object than “meets the eye”.

Plans for Stealing Future Elections
- Details
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
There are disturbing indications that the Obama Administration plans to retain perpetual power by stealing future elections. Whether their plans can and will be successful or disrupted depends entirely upon the extent that the American people remain vigilant and their determination to sacrificially do whatever is necessary to assure that we have free and honest elections in order to remain free.
If Democrat members of Congress were convinced that there would be free and honest elections in November 2010, there is no way that many of them would risk their political future by voting for the Obama-care medical takeover. They would be swept out of office by a backlash vote against this reckless, dictatorial measure.

The mad rush to somehow, anyway, get a health care bill passed should be a clarion signal to everyone that the purpose is not the improvement of health care for the American people but to put in place a framework from which this "Progressive Administration" can complete the destruction of our constitutional republic. As I am writing this we are perhaps just days away from a House vote that will grant a victory to the "Progressive Administration."

Shortly before his death at the Battle of Franklin, Tennessee, on November 30, 1864, Irish-born Confederate Major General Patrick Cleburne reminded his comrades in arms of the possible cost of surrender:
“Surrender means that the history of this heroic struggle will be written by the enemy, that our youths will be trained by Northern school teachers; learn from Northern school books THEIR version of the war; and taught to regard our gallant dead as traitors and our maimed veterans as fit subjects of derision.”
