Metaphor in a Government-Founded Church
- By Judge Andrew Napolitano
Last week, I was intrigued by all the fanfare attendant upon the national farewell to the late Sen. John McCain. I have written in this space that McCain and I were friends who spoke many times, but generally only about the issues upon which we agreed -- abortion, immigration and torture.
On those issues, he often stood at odds with most of his Republican colleagues in the Senate. They are opposed to abortion in name only (they will not lift a finger to stop or slow it), prefer judging the moral worth of individuals on the basis of where they were born, and think that torture is wrong unless the victim is a bad guy or a foreigner or has information the government wants.

Death Be Not Loud
- By Michelle Malkin
Question: What is more cringe-inducing than a celebrity funeral?
Answer: Two back-to-back celebrity funerals.
The ghoulish twin spectacles last week memorializing Aretha Franklin and John McCain brought out the worst in family, friends and frenemies. No matter your partisan affiliation, these vulgar exercises in self-indulgence should serve as object lessons on how not to depart with dignity.

Screening Breast Thermograms & Appointments Available
- By Press Release
PAUL HENNICKEN, DC & PATRICIA ROWE DC
3575 RUTHERFORD RD EXT, SUITE C
TAYLORS SC 29687
TEL: 864-292-1961
On Thusday, Septemeber 13, 2018, she will be performing screening breast thermograms and appointments are available.
Breast Thermography is a noninvasive, inexpensive test that does not involve breast compression or radiation exposure. While it does not replace mammograms, thermography is FDA-approved since 1982 as an adjunctive tool for breast health screening. It measures infrared heat from the tissues, using technology like color weather maps; increased heat can be a signal of new blood vessel growth feeding a tumor. Thermography can enhance early detection of most fast-growing breast cancers, and is especially useful for women with dense breasts or premenopausal.
The initial Breast Thermogram takes about 15 minutes, please call for pricing. Results are interpreted by Board-Certified Medical Doctor, and mailed to the client within 10 days. A copy of the interpretation can go to your physician of choice.
Please call 864-292-1961 to make an appointment.
Balance Sheet of the Forever War
- By Pat Buchanan
"It is time for this war in Afghanistan to end," said Gen. John Nicholson in Kabul on his retirement Sunday after a fourth tour of duty and 31 months as commander of U.S. and NATO forces.
Labor Day brought news that another U.S. serviceman had been killed in an insider attack by an Afghan soldier.
Why do we continue to fight in Afghanistan?

Will Sweden Continue to Be Sweden?
- By Mike Scruggs
The Most Important Election in Europe
On Sunday, September 9, Swedish voters have a chance to save their country from the astonishing social and fiscal decline wrought by ideological blindness to the nature of Islam and the inherent cultural and political dangers of massive third-world migration.
In the last two decades, and especially the last five years, Sweden has moved from a relatively homogeneous but tolerant society, famous for the law-abiding nature of its people, to one of the sex-assault and crime capitals of Europe with terrorist grenades, auto-burnings, and other street crimes becoming a normalized aspect of Swedish life. As the migrant population has increased, crime and vagrancy have increased. Women and girls fear to leave their homes at night. There are 61 areas of Sweden where emergency vehicles and even the police are in danger. Moreover, unless the mass immigration wave comes to a halt soon, native Swedes will be a minority in their own country within 20 years.
Take A Knee ...
- By Ted Nugent
Take a little trip to Valley Forge in January. Hold a musket ball in your Fingers and imagine it piercing your flesh and breaking a bone or two. There won't be a doctor or trainer to assist you until after the battle, so Just wait your turn. Take your cleats and socks off to get a real Experience.
Then, take a knee on the beach in Normandy where man after American man Stormed the beach, even as the one in front of him was shot to pieces, the Very sea stained with American blood. The only blockers most had were the Dead bodies in front of them, riddled with bullets from enemy fire.
Senate Fails to Stop $500 million to Planned Parenthood
- By Eagle Forum
As the Senate has been working through August recess, a top priority has been crafting a spending package. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) saw this as a perfect opportunity to defend the lives of the unborn. Last Thursday, he introduced an amendment that would specifically defund Planned Parenthood which received over $500 million of taxpayer money in 2017 alone from the federal government. The amendment would have streamlined that funding toward women’s health centers that do not offer abortion services.

Wow, What a Week: Prison Reform, Abortion, Fake News, and Prayer at the White House

First, #PrisonSeparatesFamilies. #BringOurDadsHome.
Angela Stanton and I just returned from speaking at a prison ministry service in Mississippi to about 200 men. Almost every man in the room was a father, grandfather and some were great-grandfathers. It was such a blessing to be able to bring hope to the lives of those that in a place that presumably doesn't often offer much hope.

Socialism, Corporatism, and Destruction of Patient-Centered Medical Care
- By Dr. Lee Vliet
“Medicare-for-all” medicine is the ultimate goal of progressives or “liberals,” fully embraced by Democrat candidates in the midterms. Candidates claim “single-payer” government-run medicine will “solve” all the problems of Obamacare and our “broken,” purportedly free-market system.
Liberal proposals ignore or deny the massive cost burden to taxpayers of “free healthcare,” the long delays, and the limited treatment options that plague every taxpayer-funded (socialized) medical system in the world, from Canada and the UK, to Cuba and Venezuela—and increasingly to U.S Medicare and Medicaid. Some claim to have received fine medical care in such a system. But having been a patient –and had a family member as a patient –in several countries with socialized medical care, I can personally attest to the difficulty of getting proper care at all.
Unchurching: Rescuing Relationship from Religion
- By Ben Graydon
The largest single and fastest growing demographic among Christian believers as concerns church is the un-churched – those who are not members of and do not regularly attend the services of a church. If this writer has been successful in pointing out the distinctions between the church and the ecclesia, that need not cause readers to regard decreasing church membership necessarily as evidence of fewer numbers in the Body of Christ - the ecclesia – itself, for the two are distinctly different. And, in fact, as the church is not the ecclesia but often serves rather to distract believers from the ecclesia, it is better that the church should decrease. (“He must increase but I must decrease.”)
What Is Going On at Bruce's Lake in Greenville?

- By Christian Newswire
DRESDEN, Ohio -- The producers of a faith-based action movie The Reliant are raffling away three firearms in honor of the concealed carrying hero who prevented a mass shooting at a back-to-school rally on August 4. The rally was called the "Peace in the City" Rally in Titusville, Florida.
"This is the kind of news story ignored by the press. We want to honor this Titusville hero," said Dr. Johnston, author, physician, writer and producer of The Reliant, starring Kevin Sorbo, Brian Bosworth, The Benham Brothers, and Eric Roberts.
South Africa Question
- By Walter Williams
South Africa has been thrown into the news because of President Donald Trump's recent tweet that he instructed his secretary of state to "closely study" alleged land seizures from white farmers in South Africa.
Earlier this year, a land confiscation motion was brought by radical Marxist opposition leader Julius Malema, and it passed South Africa's Parliament by a 241-83 vote. Malema has had a long-standing commitment to land confiscation without compensation. In 2016, he told his supporters he was "not calling for the slaughter of white people -- at least for now" (https://tinyurl.com/y7mfmhco). The land-grabbing sentiment is also expressed by Lindsay Maasdorp, national spokesman for Black First Land First, a group that condones land seizures in South Africa. He says, "We are going to take back the land, and we'll do it by any means necessary." The land confiscation policy was a key factor in the platform of the new president, Cyril Ramaphosa.
Shame on Georgia's Medical Swamp
- By Christian Newswire
NORCROSS, Ga. – Georgia Right to Life (GRTL) today slammed the Georgia Composite Medical Board for its outrageous and immoral decision to reinstate the medical license for disgraced late-term abortionist Tyrone C. Malloy.
"This is a flagrant example of the medical community circling the wagons to protect their own despite patients' safety," said GRTL President Ricardo Davis. "If they're going to put cronyism above ethics they don't deserve to hold this critical position."
South Africa Crisis
- By Mike Scruggs
Trump tweets and Communist/ANC/EFF South African government blinks and maneuvers. But trouble is still boiling, waiting for Trump to go away.
In addition the South African government said it wants to confiscate 300,000 guns. Gun confiscation has been a strong indicator of impending genocide in the past.
This is not the kind of stuff CNN, ABC, CBS, ABC, PBS, MSNBC, Time, The New York Times, and the Washington Post, Huffpost, and the SPLC, Face Book, or Google speech and thought police think you should see and hear.
'Armstrong,' a New Comic Novel
- By David Limbaugh
I want to tell you about one of the funniest books I've read in a while. It's a novel called "Armstrong," and it imagines that Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer survived the Battle of the Little Bighorn.
Written as a letter to Custer's wife, Libbie, it is a page-turning adventure that's genuinely clever and engrossing. There is also a real history to the story, and conservatives will recognize a certain cultural and patriotic conservatism, including a strong affirmation of marriage and America's military heritage. The book is set at the tail end of Reconstruction and offers, in its own comic way, an ideal of reconciliation that some might find instructive for our times.
Pope Francis: Resign, and Let Pope Benedict Return from Retirement
- By Christian Newswire
MANASSAS, Va – Conservative direct marketing pioneer and prominent Catholic layman Richard A. Viguerie, Chairman of ConservativeHQ.com and author of "TAKEOVER, The 100-Year War for the Soul of the GOP and How Conservatives Can Finally Win It," published on his ConservativeHQ.com the following column calling for Pope Francis to resign the Papacy over the growing sex abuse scandal and its cover-up within the Catholic Church.
Mr. Viguerie writes, "No institution that is sick can cure itself, and the Catholic Church is grievously ill. Like any patient, the institutional Church must be a willing participant in the cure. But it will be up to the Catholic laity to administer the necessary fixes." Mr. Viguerie urges Pope Benedict to come out of retirement to lead the Church in this time of crisis.
The sex abuse scandal and its cover-up within the Catholic Church require solutions that the institutional Church will be incapable of achieving on its own.

Duncan Responds to Senate Democrat Letter on Boeing
- By US Rep. Jeff Duncan's Office
Laurens, S.C. – Congressman Jeff Duncan (SC-03) responds to a letter sent by Senate Democrats regarding Boeing in South Carolina:
“It is infuriating that a group of Democratic Senators, all from the far left and not affiliated with our state, have taken an extreme interest in South Carolina’s workforce affairs. Businesses like Boeing, BMW, Volvo, and others come to South Carolina for our highly-skilled workforce, our fantastic business climate, and our right-to-work status. They don’t come to our state for a big government, socialist agenda pushed by the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.
A Cancer on the Papacy?
- By Pat Buchanan
This summer, the sex scandal that has bedeviled the Catholic Church went critical.
First came the stunning revelation that Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, former Archbishop of Washington and friend to presidents, had for decades been a predator-priest who preyed on seminarians and abused altar boys, and whose depravity was widely known and covered up.
Where does S.C. Stand on School District Consolidation?
- By South Carolina Policy Council
Each year, the state spends millions on duplicative administrative positions that could be used in the classroom. Instead of overhauling South Carolina’s antiquated school district model, lawmakers have historically taken little action towards true reform.
