Vote for Harry Kibler for Greenville County District 28
- By David Knapp - Greenville, SC
Greenville District 28 Councilman Fred Payne asserts that he is a hard working Republican.
He works hard behind closed doors. A conservative coalition of citizens from the Tea Party, Rino Hunt, Tax Payer Association and regular citizens attended the County Council meeting to oppose the Comprehensive Land Use Plan.
Transparent Fred Payne and his like-minded Councilman went into an executive session to avoid any further public witness to the decision making.
Federal Discrimination Against Law Enforcement
- By James F. Aldridge - Anderson, SC
For decades our self-serving Government has done next to nothing to curtail the flood of illegal aliens into America, and does virtually nothing to apprehend illegals known to be in the U.S. It also does everything it can to facilitate the release of those illegals incarcerated by State and local authorities, and has numerous other insidious ways of handi-caping those whose job it is to enforce our immigration laws. One such way is the following which is only a tip-of-an ice berg.
The Southern Gospel Music Corner - The Perrys
- By Keith Crowe
This week we take a look at a group which has been singing for thirty plus years, but about a year ago took on a new direction. The group is The Perrys from Morristown, Tennessee. In the early years this was a family group, but over the last few years all of the members of the Perry family have moved on with the exception of Libbi. Kenny had some health problems and the sisters’ left for various reasons. The traditional make-up of the group was two male and two female singers but when Nicole Watts decided to leave the group as well as the road to get married. The decision was made to replace Nicole with a male singer. Although there were changes taking place in The Perrys the commitment was still to keep a traditional conventional Gospel Music sound alive.

Parking and long lines have been a continuous problem at Greenville’s Washington Street Post Office during certain hours of the work day.

Immigration Politics
- By Mike Scruggs
Sifting out the Political Weasels, Dunces, and Jellyfish
The United States needs an immigration policy that benefits Americans. What we have is an immigration policy—or rather a deliberate failure to enforce immigration laws—that benefits illegal immigrants, businesses that profit from hiring cheap foreign labor instead of Americans, and politicians who want to change our society into a big-government-dependent welfare state.

The Answer: Truth, Biblical Principles
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
Electing principled conservative Republican candidates to Congress and other public offices is a sound political strategy for taking our country back from radical leftists indoctrinated in Marxism and grounded in the Alinsky Method of Rules for Radicals who have deceived and organized an ignorant, brainwashed segment of our electorate.
Electing conservatives to Congress alone, however, will not be totally and permanently successful unless accompanied by the application of truth and biblical principles. The pursuit of truth must be a top priority in our search for lasting freedom even if it is painful for those on our side of the political spectrum.
Death Is A Subject We Avoid
- By Terry Odom - Piedmont, SC
My 81 year old mother had to go to the emergency room three times with emphysema last year. She was hospitalized all three times. The first two times, I sent her to St. Francis Women’s Hospital. Both times, two separate doctors told me that my mother was old, her lungs were gone, and advised me not to treat her and let her die. The third time she had to go to a hospital, I sent her to Hillcrest Memorial Hospital. There she was treated for her emphysema and recovered. Here it is April 2010 and she is still alive.
A doctor should not be able to decide who lives and who dies. That is up to God.
America cannot call itself a Christian nation. We kill our elderly, sick and unborn babies. Yet, we jail someon who would kill a litter of puppies.
Don’t Vote Incumbents, Vote New People
- By Betty Creager - Greenville, SC
I hope the GOP doesn’t want former Governor of Massachusetts to run for President in 2012. The progressives could try and push him in as a candidate. I mean Mitt Romney, He pushed socialistic healthcare up in Massachusetts and they are living with it.
Rising Tide Of Civil Liberties Violations In America
- By Chad Kister - Nelsonville, OH
Far too many .Americans are oblivious to the rising tide of civil liberties violations in America. The reason is that much of it is being done under the Patriot Act and is hidden from view by the general public.
What we do know about those who are supposed to be the role models of our country is quite troubling. FBI agents broke into the home of a Portland, Oregon attorney and searched it, using the sneak and peak provision of the Patriot Act. They arrested him and accused him of being a part of the Madrid train bombings. The FBI later realized they had made a mistake in the DNA and released him. He won $2 million in a subsequent lawsuit.
A Fair, Flexible Repayment Plan for Child Support Payments That Are Behind
- By Chris Gill - Greenville, SC
The family courts need improvement. As you know everyone has an excuse of what caused them to get behind on child support payments.
There needs to be a worksheet for parents who are behind on child support payments. God gave me this idea. Please tell the director of the child support office to move forward with this idea for all family courts statewide.
Saving Souls--Losing Freedom
- By Chuck Baldwin
One would have to be a blind man to not see that America is fast losing the fundamental principles of liberty upon which our once-great country was established. And, without a doubt, the single biggest reason for this decline is the lack of concern and effort on the part of today's Christians and pastors to resist it.
All over America, when one approaches our pastors and church leaders with the obvious decay and ruination of constitutional government and Declaration principles taking place in our land today, the response flippantly comes back: "God hasn't called me to do that; I'm supposed to win souls and that's it." (Or words to that effect.) As if the call to Gospel preaching, evangelism, and missionary endeavor negates our responsibility as citizens of a free land.
The Origin of the Cross Bars on the Confederate Flag
- By Dr. Ben Carper
I have often wondered how the Confederate Flag came to be fashioned as it is. Long before the Confederate Battle Flag, the "southern cross" was adopted by the Confederacy as her Battle Flag, the X shaped cross, previously known as "Andrew's Cross." The letter X dates back to the early days of Christianity, where the Greeks designated X as the letter "chi" in their alphabet, which has been used to represent the Lord Jesus Christ.
It was a Symbol of Glory that ancient warrior forefathers would paint the symbol of Andrew's Cross on their shields and carried the symbol into battle in the last of the Roman-Celtic wars and were said to scream the "Rebel Yell" when entering into conflict.

RNC Chairman Michael Steele Under Fire
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
Members of His Staff Allegedly Spent $1,946 at a “Bondage-Themed Strip Club” in Hollywood
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Michael Steele is under fire for lavish spending for unnecessary and questionable travel and entertainment by his staff.
Since Steele has taken over as Chairman, RNC cash reserves have gone from $22 million to less than $10 million. Expenditures include $17,000 for private jet travel, $13,000 for limousines, and more than $9,000 for hotels in Beverly Hills, California. The straw that “broke the camel’s back,” was $1,946 spent for entertainment at a party at a West Hollywood bondage-themed strip club.
Russians Ridicule “Free Americans” Accepting “Slavery Without a Fight”
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
The Russian Communist Party newspaper Pravda has published an opinion piece titled, American Capitalism Gone With a Whimper. In it the author ridicules the American people for being so naïve as to accept Marxism and slavery without so much as a fight.
“It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breathtaking speed, against the backdrop of a passive, hapless ‘sheeple.’”
Young People Cheer For Their Own Destruction
- By Maria Brady - Boiling Springs Tea Party, SC
You'd think that young people would be flocking to the tea party activities.
They've had the most stolen from them by the corrupt politicians. Their entire future has been stolen! They'll spend most of their life in a MUCH lower standard of living than that enjoyed by their parents. America's economy is being "fundamentally changed" (just as Obama promised) into one where very few will have any real opportunity to move up in life.
Eliminate the Middle Man
- By John H. Utz - Greenville, SC
"We will eliminate the middle man, and save $68 billion dollars." So promised the Great One, President Obama, as he signed legislation which 'took over' the Student College Loan Program. And so the greedy banks, being the 'middle man,' will lay off employees, who will be replaced by new government employees, of course.
Islam - A Part of America's Story?
- By Dr. Al Snyder
When newly elected U.S. President Barack Obama made his Moslem appeasing speech in Cairo last year, he claimed that "Islam has always been a part of America's story."
I thought it would be reasonable to check out America's story and look for that "part" that Islam has "always" played in our country's history.
"Always" would have to start back when the Pilgrims came by ship to these shores. All the historical reports tell us that the Pilgrrims were Christians seeking a place for freedom of worship. I don't recall that any of them were worshipping Allah. And were there Moslems among the people who welcomed the Pilgrims and helped them celebrate the first Thanksgiving Day? I think they were alll native Americans.
Good Stories For Young People
- By Raquelle Sheen
Most homeschooled students are avid readers. However, finding good clean books to satisfy their voracious appetites can be a real challenge in today’s world. In this article I’m going to list some books that my sister and I enjoyed as young people. Most of you are familiar with traditional classics, such as the Chronicles of Narnia or the Nancy Drew series. I’d like to give you a list of some lesser-known books that your children might enjoy. Many of these are out of print (I will designate them OOP), but can be purchased used at www.amazon.com or other used books sites.
Why People Are Starting To “Wander Off” From President Obama
- By Tony Beam
You know you are in trouble if one year ago, you were the darling of the mainstream media and now, one year later a Washington Post writer uses the phrase “began to wander off” to describe a crowd at one of your speeches.
It happened on Friday during a speech President Obama gave in Charlotte, North Carolina. During a question and answer period, a woman name Doris asked the president whether it was a “wise decision to add more taxes to us with the health care” package. She then punctuated her question with the blunt statement, “We are over-taxed as it is.” You could almost feel the crowd lean forward in anticipation of the spirited and pithy defense the president was about to offer for his agenda.
SC House Passes Spending Accountability (Transparency) Act
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
Two Years Work by Reps. Nikki Haley and Nathan Ballentine Produce Unanimous House Vote
“Today is a great day for the voters and taxpayers of South Carolina,” said a very happy state representative Nikki Haley when she announced the unanimous passage by the South Carolina House of H.3047, The Spending Accountability Act.
“Almost two years ago I introduced this bill because our legislators were voting anonymously more than 90 percent of the time and the citizens of our state could not see the spending habits of their elected officials. The House has now voted – unanimously – to make it permanent law that every single vote will be on the record, and I couldn’t be more proud to have helped bring this historic change about.”

Cash Stumps at ACG
- By Terry M. Thacker
Third District GOP Congressional candidate Richard Cash addressed a crowd of over 50 conservative activists at last Monday’s meeting of the Americans for Constitutional Government study group. The ACG meets every fourth Monday at the Symmes Branch (Pelham Road) of the Greenville County Public Library.
The socially conservative Cash mentioned three reasons why he is running for office. He said that the country needs to return to God, government needs to be returned to the people, and socialism must be stopped.
Cash gave another reason for running for the Congressional seat currently held by GOP gubernatorial candidate Gresham Barrett. He said that he is concerned about the nation’s future and what it holds for his eight children and the many grandchildren he anticipates being born in the future.
Now is Time to Study Candidates
- By Bob Dill, Publisher
The filing period for Republican and Democrat primary candidates closed Tuesday at noon. “Third” party candidates are being chosen by convention vote. Everyone who is running for Congress, Governor, State Legislature, statewide constitutional offices, countywide offices and county council filed and paid their filing fees. Now that we know who is running, it is time to begin studying candidates and not waiting until the last minute and depending on some newspaper or special interest group endorsement to decide for whom you will cast your ballot.
This is probably the most important election in our lifetime or the history of the republic. Every vote counts and it is extremely important that we know as much as possible about the candidate for whom we cast our ballot.
Appointed Governors/Martial Law
- By Bill Ivy - John's Island, SC
The U.S. of A divided up into ten regions, having an appointed governor, holding dictorial powers, with military enforcement, under martial law. This wouldn’t be the first time in American history that such has taken place. That’s a fact. Instead of ten regions there were five, having every element as read in the first line above. The differences between the ten regions to come and the five of America’s past will be their years implicated and their technologies, with both having been against the will of the people of the times.
